Loved this restaurant and have been coming here for dine in and take out for years prior to leaving LA. The food is delicious. We have been in town visiting with our service animal and the manager flat out rejected us from sitting inside with the dog... the dog is not a pet Sadly because of this I don't think I can support this Caramelo location anymore. ADA compliance and accommodation is hugely important to us as my partner has a disability that that requires us to have a dog trained for medical alerts. It is a shame.

Caramelo Cafe has my favorite crepes. It's been years since I visited and I went for my favorite, the Waikiki. I ordered it without pecans, however, due to dietary restrictions. My mom ordered one of the crepes with strawberries and it came with a lot. She ended up taking a bunch out. The service was nice and quick, but it was a Monday morning so it wasn't busy. It did take a while to get the bill. The cafe is small and I can't imagine how packed it is on the weekends. They do have patio seating though.

This is my FAVORITE breakfast spot in town! I went on a Saturday at 11:30 am and luckily got sat right away. I recognize a lot of the staff there every time I go and they are so helpful and kind. Inside has some good music and atmosphere, but I like sitting outside for the fresh morning air while eating breakfast. You can tell the food is made fresh and with love. I like to order the Chilaquiles. You can choose red or green salsa and I chose green salsa and added steak. It comes with eggs cooked whatever way you want and then I added home fries, which is basically a side of breakfast potatoes. The portion size is excellent and I always leave full! They also have a great choice in coffee. I got a Cafe de Olla and it comes in a lovely mug. I highly recommend this place to everyone! I took a group of friends once and they all enjoyed it! Come support this business and enjoy the great food!

Service: on a Monday afternoon, our party was greeted and sat right away. We chose to eat inside. It wasn't busy at all. Perfect! Our server was nice and attentive. Food/Drinks: we didn't get to try any drinks besides the fresh OJ. The food was tasty and everyone enjoyed their plates. They serve big portions, especially Huevos Rancheros and the crepes. I added chicken to my order of huevos rancheros and thought it was a bit over seasoned with pepper/salt. Cleanliness: The space is small inside and there's more seating outside patio area. It's clean and comfortable. Overall it was a good experience. Would come back for the food. Its not a trendy, Instagram spot for photos. The food is the star of the show.

Now first off let me say the service here is A1. I have never had better service anywhere in my life. It's my first visit and I felt right at home. I came with my fiancé and our son for a morning breakfast at 8:30am. A very quaint environment with good music to set a good chill mood. I started with the abuelita hot chocolate. It came with a mountain of real whip cream on top and was absolutely delicious. I played it safe and ordered the pancake combo since it was my first visit. The combo came with one single pancake, eggs, 2 strips of bacon and home fries. I wasn't familiar with the term home fries, but I would describe them as thinly sliced potatoes cooked to perfection. Both wet and dry at the same time. The bacon and the pancake were both cooked perfectly. As were the eggs and home fries too but I just added some salt, pepper and chalula sauce to get them how i like it. Now for the crepes combo. This Comes with the same sides but with a massive berry crepe to go along with it. This meal is definitely for those you like to explore flavors in their dish. A lot of color and excitement in the crepes. Overall I paid $70 for the meal with the tip included. I feel that this place is a little pricey but very well worth it. Everything they cooked was perfect and the service was incredible. I might be a regular for Saturday mornings now.

Mocha Iced Coffee ($4.74) and ice water.

4.5 Stars Stopped in for a late breakfast and had a much better experience than last time. It was busy, but the staff seemed to be much better organized today than any other visit. They're always friendly, but everything seemed to run smoother. The food is always quite tasty, no complaints here, and there's plenty of parking in the shopping center lot. My wife had a Mocha Iced Coffee ($4.74) which had just a hint of sweetness and very refreshing. She commented that the other coffees she's had in the past were very sweet. For our entrées, my wife tried the Chilaquiles ($16.38) and I ordered the Laredo Skillet ($21.29), topped with two eggs and choice of toast. Mine came with an awesome Salsa Verde, which was acidic but full of flavor and was fantastic over the spicy chorizo, potatoes, and Jack cheese. The serving sizes are plenty filling, and I was able to take home leftovers from my skillet to make a breakfast burrito for the next day. This location is a little smaller than their original location on Amar Rd., but with both indoor and covered patio dining areas available, there's usually not much of a wait.

Food and service are terrific. It was a nice day to sit outside and there were no insects to worry about. Good for brunch and lunch and probably dinner. Atmosphere is casual. They have sweet and savory crepes. I had their veggie skillet and that is a lot of food. My eggs were overcooked but they redid them.

I love coming to Caramelo Cafe for breakfast! My go to dish is the huevos rancheros, the sauce is nice and spicy and it comes with a side of potatoes. I also always need something sweet so I get the La Fraise and can't forget to order a café de olla, they serve them in these super cute mugs. The service is always great, they make you feel welcomed. I love coming and when the weather is good sitting on the outside patio.

This is the first time I've ordered from this location and I ordered for pick up. The food is usually very good but today, the egg wasn't even cooked right. It wasn't cooked at all. It was disgusting. I didn't finish my food. What a waste of money.

Was really looking forward to eating here since we pass by it every day. We were greeted right away upon entering and were seated immediately. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. The cafe de olla was really good! I ordered the Laredo skillet, my fiance ordered the Texan skillet, and my daughter got the Paris crepe. Unfortunately, none of the food was hot. My fiances plate was cold, the cheese was not even melted. We hate to send anything back but it was just too cold. The server was very understanding, apologetic and made him a new plate immediately. Not sure if we will return but overall not a bad experience.

Pretty expensive for the food and the quantity bill

I've been coming here for quite some time since they opened. The original one is in La Puente I believe. That was surprised that they wouldn't do the half sandwich and half salad because they do it at the other place The food was decent small piece of chicken for the sandwich. There was no nuts. Oh no, I'm sorry there was one nut and the salad. The Chilaquiles were pretty good but for $20 it's not worth the price They are a bit spicy though . The waitress was very nice and attentive The place was a bit warm though . And the music is very loud so it's not recommended. If you wanna have a conversation with the person you're with.

When we want crepes, this is the place we always end up at in the area. We no longer go to the original one off Amar because this one is closer. The AC works very well here so bring a jacket. The service has always been consistently great. I have tried sweet and savory dishes and all have impressed. The house fries are a must, it is more of potato.

My husband and I came here for breakfast and were extremely satisfied with what we ordered. I had the green Chilaquiles and Cafe de Olla. So what can I say...... The green chile was excellent! It was a bit spicy and had a hint of lemon and tomatillo taste to it. The chips were crunchy with a mix of some soft ones. They were perfect in my opinion. I ordered my eggs "over medium" and those were perfect too. I will definitely be a returning customer here at Caramelo Cafe.

Some older lady came and said the manager was in a meeting & to come back later, but he wanted to wait so she offered him coffee or water. Caramelo is way too good & customer service is great to have bullies as an employee. Obviously if the gentleman is waiting for an interview Is because there's space for more employees to work.

I am so glad we chose Hide Out Cafe in Rowland Heights to have our celebration. The food is delicious, the staff is so friendly, and the cafe is so cozy and welcoming. My brother was sponsoring our meal since he couldn't make it, so of course we had to go all out and order two drinks and two main dishes. (Thank you, big brother)! I got the Boba Bear Set $8.50, which comes with a drink and two house-made cookies, and my mom got their Tiramisu Latte $7.00, which is heavy on the coffee liquor, to be honest, but we had fun with it. The drinks are crafted beautifully, and with the open cafe concept, you can see they pay attention to the small details of their crafted drink menu. The house-made cookies that were a part of my Boba Bear Set are not to be forgotten. The cookies are buttery, decadent, and delicious; they are the perfect tea cookies to pair with! I can't wait to go back and try more of their fun drinks and maybe bring a study book the next time. For our main dishes, we shared the Chimi Wagyu & Frites $35.00, and the Fresh Avocado Toast $19.00. We both love eggs so of course we had to get something with eggs in our dish. My mom loved her avocado toast, and they were very generous with the avocado as well on there. The salad is a definite hit with us and included a great dressing on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly on top of our toast and steak. The frites with my steak were crispy and seasoned well. I also loved the chimi sauce with my steak as well. The portion was huge so we were able to take some back home to enjoy another day. Overall, my mom and I had a great experience and would absolutely come back for another sip of their lattes and try another fun drink on their menu. We left with happy smiles and full stomachs, and can't wait to come back soon.

Unfortunately the room had some plumbing issues and the bathroom was a little rundown in my opinion (on top of the loud noise coming from downstairs) but I want to compliment the friendly staff overall in this review. Something that affected my stay was the pool situation. I was shocked when I discovered how small the pool area is for such a nice big hotel overall. There wasn't enough lounge chairs or anywhere to sit in general. Everyone was playing their own music loud, some louder than others, a bunch of kids splashing everywhere and I was surprised by this since I was thinking this would be a calm, peaceful resort setting. I was honestly surprised that there was no security at the time to enforce anything. Overall I tried to make the best of the circumstances but I will never return to this pool unfortunately. This hotel in general does have great views though. Once again, this review is mainly to compliment, Michael because he made this not so pleasant experience, a better one because of his kindness and accommodations so thank you Michael

It's a large-ish space, and I guess kind of like a sit-down place (not "turo-turo/cafeteria style like some Filipino joints), with a ton of Filipino snacks on the counter. Plenty of seats that have seen better days. A portion of the restaurant is covered in plastic to house some construction equipment ? I asked for the pork sisig ala carte and decided to add an order of kalderetang kambing and 2c of rice. Big mistake buying more than one entree when you are taking it home and have no clue how their food tastes. I trusted Yelp too much. . Sisig had a 1:1 ratio of meat to bell peppers. I also couldn't help but feel lile the peppers were undercooked, even raw. Maybe that was their style, but I also disliked the mayo on top. Now the kalderetang kambing had a strange fishy (gamey) smell in the car. When I tried it at home, the meat looked so red and tasted way too sweet, not at all like the Kalderetas I'm used to back home. The meat was falling off the bone soft though. This is my problem with Filipino restaurants in the US - if they can't make dishes better tasting than what I make at home (i rarely cook but im a good eater), I cannot rate them high at all. I've eaten too much Filipino food in my life to know what tastes good. I feel bad because the folks who work here/(owners?) are pretty nice and they were working on Valentines. But the current rating they have is misleading. If you're going for the big entrees like I did, and are used to Gerry's Grill type sisig, prepare to be disappointed. Yelp, you did not come thru for me this time.
