Buffet was amazing. Generous amounts of popular Indian dishes. Lots delicious of curries, naan, rice, fruit and vegie salads. Owner/cook has been there forever was very attentive to all customers. Culminated with a wonderful Indian rice pudding and chai tea flavored with rose water. Best Indian buffet in town.

There are so many reasons to love this restaurant. The food is good. The atmosphere is cozy. The owner is a gem of a man. He is so friendly, kind, and caring. Having a conversation with him can go very deep and powerful in terms of how people should treat one another regardless of their differences. This is my second review because I want to elevate the restaurant and have more people patronize it. I try to take as many people to the restaurant as possible when on that side of the water. Tomorrow is Christmas, and it is also the owner's birthday. For years, on his birthday, he has generously prepared meals and served the homeless community. Here's what he's doing tomorrow: https://myedmondsnews.com/2023/12/edmonds-restaurant-owner-will-celebrate-his-birthday-distributing-meals-to-those-in-need-christmas-day/ Thank you, Shazhad, for all that you do. Everyone, if you haven't visited Caravan Kebab yet, I hope you visit at least once in the new year.

Best food in Edmonds! Many vegetarian entrees and lots to choose from for carnivores. I love the mushroom julienne with the garlic naan. Shazad makes wonderful & tasty dishes. It's a lovely restaurant, not in the bowl of Edmonds, but has a parking lot in the village. Try it! You will be surprised by the explosion of tastes in your mouth!

What a beautiful ambiance! Would never picture the inside from the looks of the outside! It's so beautiful The food was really good. I got the Shahi korma with chicken. We also ordered garlic naan but I missed taking a pic. So light and garlicky (yum)! The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the baklava. Was a little too dry for me. We also were gifted kheer for ordering 2 dishes.

We had a wonderful lunch! The beans in tomato sauce are fabulous. Don't miss them! 3 of us shared them as an appetizer. I had the lamb gyros sandwich and loved it. Another had the same but with chicken. Also enjoyed. The butter chicken was delicious, and served with a large bowl of beautiful rice. Only complaint was not enough chicken (maybe 5 small pieces). We three shared a baklava for dessert. We all had a bite or 2. Some of the best I can remember, moist and a great flavor.

I think they could go a little harder on their seasonings but they are catering to the demographics of Edmonds so it makes sense. I met a colleague here for an early dinner. Their hours of operation are very limited so make sure to check in with them to confirm. Restaurant has a traditional feel to it. Cozy and family oriented.

Such a lovely and beautiful place!…read more I've been to Edmonds numerous times and never knew this existed until now. My god sis and I agreed to meet up here and catch up! The restaurant is a vibe; nice inside, cool bar and an even better patio with strung lights! We each got an appetizer to share; stuffed mushrooms and cauliflower. The stuffed mushrooms were delicious! We each shared 2 pizzas; my fave was the nectarine prosciutto pizza (this is BOMB!) and flavors were exquisite! If you don't like fruit on pizza tho, I definitely recommend trying it at least once. We shared the Zeppole for dessert (almost like beignets but they're like mini donuts and came with a just right tasty caramel sauce!) The mocktails are pretty good; recommend the strawberry cooler! There's plenty of parking where the restaurant is, 3 hours free! Would definitely come back! They even have a space for private events and dining!

All through the meal service was great. We ordered off of both the Happy Hour and main dinner menu. The HH menu is not a "great" deal as the portions are fairly small. In this case you get what you pay for which is fine if you want small plates. Not content with my small portion of pasta, I ordered also the "smash burger". It was not a smash burger at all but a full-on double patty hamburger that was dripping in sauce. What a letdown! A total fail, although it tasted ok, but for $22, I expected much more. I've been to Epulo many times and will probably return but there are too many other less expensive options close by for me to run back. This for me is a "special occasion" type of place.

Located on a farm on Whidbey island this restaurant is truly farm to table-sourcing produce from their farm and the island to serve a menu of what is in season. Our menu featured an amazing eggplant croquette, a roasted oyster, a panzanella with the most amazing fresh tomatoes, a fresh pesto pasta, the most tender lamb (hogette) of your life, a cheese course and a wonderful blueberry tart to close it out. Everything was great. It is a single setting, based on the weather you can be outside, in the barn or in the kitchen. The setting on the farm is just perfect. Service is always excellent. It is a 3 hour experience but very well paced. The servers all seem experienced and that they enjoy working there. They are also very community connected and community minded. So great to support a business like this. It is expensive but well worth it. A MUST if you love food and are visiting Whidbey.

This is a hard one for me to write. We have family on the Island, and have been wanting to come…read morehere since it first opened (back in 2015, but having a newborn made that hard). We FINALLY made it over after over 10 years. My husband and I have traveled all over the world and dined at some of the best restaurants (from 3 star Michelin to delicious food carts--we don't care if there are accolades behind the food--we just know what well prepared, good food tastes like). We may be picky and more particular than most guests dining here. Whidbey has never been known for amazing food. It's a hard place to have a restaurant as it tends to rely heavily on tourism during the summer months, and it's hard to get locals to spend $$$ on the regular. We've seen many restaurants come and go. While I am thrilled this place is still surviving and thriving, it didn't quite live up to all the high praise I've seen. Don't get me wrong, the food is tasty, but I wouldn't say it was something that would leave a memory. Most of the dishes seemed like there needed some work to be done, or some quality control. The salad we received was heavily dominated by the cheese, and you couldn't taste any of the fresh vegetables. My "surprise" course had Guanciale which both my husband and I looked at each other at the same time and said "this tastes like it was rendered in old bacon fat." My husband also received 6 pieces of gnocchi, while I only had 2. The main course was cooked technically well, but it was off balance in the elements they provided. Again, not a big deal--but some tinkering and adjusting of amount of the components on the dish would have benefited them. My husbands cheese dish came without one of the components--but it was minor and not a big deal. It was just another example of how extra time may be needed with the dishes. The gentleman sitting next to me had told the other guests that "this was the best meal he has ever had," and thats when my husband and I realized that perhaps we went into this with too high of expectations compared to those who may dine here. By no meals was it a bad meal, it just was not at the level that some of the other reviewers here have felt. Again, that may just because we have eaten out at so many wonderful places around the world, that perhaps we are a bit jaded. We came for the Thursday local dinner, and when we left, we were a bit relieved we weren't doing the longer and more expensive weekend menu, given our experience, as we don't think we would have left feeling like we got our money's worth. If you're traveling through, and come on a Thursday--I think it's a great option. Would I spend $165-$180 a person on their main menu--that would be a no from me. It's a fun experience dining at a communal table--but it made having one on one conversation with my husband a bit tricky and we felt the need to have to engage with others when we were really wanting to turn off for the day (my husband and I are both Clinical Psychologists and spend the days listing to others The staff were all amazing and very friendly and accommodating. 5 stars for them! I really wanted to be wowed and to have a place my husband and I could escape to while visiting family as its just down the road from them--but unfortunately I don't know if we would return.

It is located in strip mall retail area with a shared parking lot, in between Bartell Drugs, the UPS Store and Ono Poké. There are a few two and four tops for onsite dining. I noticed they also do a fairly brisk takeout service. Welcoming folks at the ordering counter. There's a posted menu, as well as, a tri fold menu available to take with you. Nice selection of plate or wrap items, a la carte sides, salads, kids menu items, baklava, and chilled beverages too. There's even Turkish coffee and Arabic tea available. Since this was an all in one late breakfast-lunch-early dinner meal, we ordered the following: 1 gyro sandwich ($11.29), 1-12oz lentil soup ($6.49), 1 Arabic chicken shawarma ($12.49), and an order of Special Heroes Fries topped with lamb/beef, spices, and garlic sauce ($13.99). With tax and tip, it was under $57. First off the portion sizes are huge! Duly noted, fresh produce were used, which was greatly appreciated. Succulent and flavorful chicken and beef/lamb were generously used in the menu items. Lively spices and well prepared tzaziki and garlic sauces were evident. We left well fed and with ample leftovers to take home. Gyro Makers - a tasty find in Edmonds!

Gyro Plate - was starving after surviving on matcha for the day and this filled me up. Could be made into one and a half (or two) meals. Well balanced flavors, savory, salty, and slight sourness from the tomatoes and tzatziki. Rice was a bit plain underneath the layering and mixing didn't quite get all the grains. May benefit from some sauce immediately above the rice, sandwiched below meat but still very tasty.
