No one told me this amount is just your Copay, and you might be charged for 3 or more times money. ( I did not ask as well: I was not doing a business, I was the Patient in pain) After a week I received a call that you need to pay the rest of your visit charges, since your insurance doesn't cover it. I brought my 1 1/2-year-old daughter here after she suffered a painful burn on her foot. She was screaming and crying harder than I have ever seen in her life. As a father, I was extremely distressed and just trying to get help for my child. The experience at the front desk was shocking. The first thing I was asked was how I would be paying. I provided my Medi-Cal information and was told they don't take it. That part alone is understandable -- not every urgent care accepts every insurance plan. The problem was the attitude and complete lack of compassion shown afterward. There was only one person in the lobby, and even that patient kindly offered me his spot because he could see how much pain my daughter was in. Ironically, a stranger in the waiting room showed more empathy than the staff. When I asked approximately how long the wait would be, I was vaguely told 45 minutes to an hour, but nobody would clearly explain the situation or whether my child could be evaluated sooner. I showed the front desk worker a photo of the burn and asked what I should do. She refused to help and said, "I don't care, I just work here." I was honestly stunned. At that point, I was willing to wait and willing to pay out of pocket if necessary. But after the coldness, eye-rolling, dismissive attitude, and complete lack of compassion toward a screaming toddler, I no longer felt comfortable trusting my child's care to this facility. I understand urgent cares get busy and staff deal with difficult situations every day. But basic humanity, empathy, and professionalism should still matter -- especially when dealing with a small child in severe pain. I served in the military and care deeply about this community. On Wednesday 5/13/2026 he cleaned my left ear & he was so aggressive. After three days I went to another urgent care because i still had pain & they said my ear has not been cleaned throughly. When your medical insurance is new and you are unfamiliar where to go, Carbon Health was an excellent choice! I was able to make an appointment prior to the location opening. I was checked in and seen right away, minimal waiting. They do not have "hospital facilities" but do check you for important symptoms relating to your medical issue and prescribe meds. I had to miss work for my medical concern and they provided a work note. I recommend them for minor medical concerns. Not a facility for emergencies. Carbon Urgent Care - 1 Star The facility is clean, new, and well-equipped--that's the only positive. The care was unacceptable. I went in on a Saturday genuinely needing help. Instead of treating me, the doctor told me she wouldn't prescribe anything until I got the results of a test. Then she said I couldn't even take the test for two weeks because I was on Prilosec and had to be off it first--then another week for results. So I was basically told to suffer for three weeks with no real treatment. Her "treatment" was a shot of Toradol and a cup of Mylanta mixed with lidocaine, which gave me about four hours of relief and then wore off. The prescriptions she sent me home with were useless--things I could have bought over-the-counter. What makes it worse is that she already knew what the issue was. A real doctor treats based on experience, but instead she refused to act until she had "confirmation." In three weeks I could already be cured if she had simply treated me. In my opinion, this is just another way to force patients to come back and pay again. When I voiced my frustration, she even threatened to walk out on me in the middle of my care. That's not professional--it's insulting. Urgent care is supposed to help patients in the moment until they can see a specialist. Instead, I was charged $250, told to stop the only medication giving me minor relief, and sent out the door with no real plan. I eventually had to go to another urgent care just to get actual treatment. This place is nothing more than a money grab. They are not there to help you--they are there to bill you. I came here today as a walk in at 1:15pm with severe pain 2 weeks post a hysterectomy with some complications. If it's any help to anyone, I have anthem platinum PPO and they accepted my insurance. The check-in process was incredibly easy, and went really quickly. By 1:30 I was in an exam room with vitals being done. The employees and the practitioner were all very friendly and made the whole encounter there pleasant despite being there due to being in pain. Everything was quick, but I felt like the provider listened and explained everything without rushing. I was out of there before 2:00pm which was amazing because I didn't expect this to be such a quick experience and be pleasant at the same time. The rx for antibiotics was sent over immediately and I had zero issues with that end of it as well. If you're looking for somewhere quick, clean with friendly staff who take the time to listen this is your place to go. read more

Took my mom here last month since she got sick while visiting from out of state. This urgent care has extremely poor customer service. The front desk receptionist needs to be retrained on insurance coverage and definitely have better customer service when dealing with sick patients. Had to wait 30 minutes after her appt time to be seen, PA spent less than 5 minutes with her and did nothing. Prescribed some antibiotics and charged her $50. We wrote it off as a waste of money but moved on. Now two weeks later we got an email saying we still owe $180. Their app is super useful -- you are able to review test results there and communicate with the doctor following the visit and can schedule virtual appointments. Highly recommend not going here if you don't want your claim processed as a physician's visit which will charge you more towards your deductible. I've never had to pay the high amount I had to pay for this maybe 10 minute visit with this doctor at this location. Plus the medications I was prescribed didn't even help my condition I had to go to my primary care provider to actually get the help I needed. They processed my claim as a physician's office visit instead of an urgent care visit resulting in me paying an almost $300 payment. Any other urgent care visit I have gone to is a regular $50 copay visit. This is the first time I've had this happen. Please be mindful if you go here ask them how they're going to process your claim. read more

Pick a different clinic. Scheduled an appointment online at 9:00. It says to arrive 15 min early and I did but they don't open until 9:00. The lady at the front was super rude didn't even acknowledge me or let me and just sat there on the computer. 9:00 comes around she opens the door and asks for my ID and Insurance. That's fine and all but it didn't say that it was required when booking the appointment - so I didn't have it. I was at Carbon Health Urgent Care yesterday and I am very disappointed with the care that I received. The provider Amy Causey was very rude and was not able to provide appropriate care. She did not listen to my needs and concerns, had a very condescending tone, and it seemed like she was bothered by my presence. I am 20 weeks pregnant with a severe sinus infection which she completely disregarded. Per the recommendation of my OBGYN I went to urgent care to get a nasal swab done to check if I have a bacterial sinus infection since my symptoms are not improving for almost 7 days now. I mentioned that I had a thick yellow and green discharge, had low fever, difficulty breathing, headache, burning in my nose, etc. Today I also have a severe facial pain. She disregarded all of my symptoms and even said the color of the discharge doesn't mean anything. She wasn't interested in examining me or doing any covid, flu, or bacterial testing. When I requested to get swabbed she got annoyed and asked who is going to treat me in case the results come back abnormal (my OBGYN or her). Then she said the only thing she can do is swab my throat for bronchitis or strep throat which I knew I didn't have. She refused to do a nasal swab to check for bacterial sinus infection. What a waste of time going to this place! Since then my symptoms have worsen and now I have to go another urgent care. read more

This review is not based on a serious injury or illness. Three stars because I cannot review based on a serious illness or injury and their billing practices are not fair. The facility is clean, modern and they saw me relatively quickly because there were only two patients ahead of me. I showed them my insurance card and provided my Health Spending Card (HSA) which is equivalent to a credit card if funds are available which they were for a co-payment (if required by my insurance provider). What you need to know, they loaded my HSA Card to their database. Within the questionnaire they state they will automatically withdraw funds due to them for services provided. Weeks later, I received an email stating my bill of $200.00 was due. No EOB, no statement via USPS mail or the email I received, just a statement stating I owe $200.00. The email also stated to contact another insurance plan (I don't belong to), directly to request Carbon Health be added as an in-network provider. Why would I do that? Why would they ask me to do that? Did they bill MY insurance provider? The one I gave them proof of coverage with? It seems to me if they had, I would have received an EOB by now, they would have too, how did they determine I owe $200.00 for the service with no EOB? Why bill with no supporting billing documents? A couple of days later, I received an email from my HSA provider stating this facility charged and was paid $200.00. I have yet to see an EOB from the facility or my insurance provider, yet this facility billed and received $200.00 for a service my insurance provider may have covered, may have paid for, may have paid a partial fee. I don't know! The email said I could call with questions. I work, 8-10 hours a day. I have not been able to call yet. Even so, a statement with a supporting EOB is standard practice in billing. They do not provide a statement or EOB, just an email stating bill is due, call us, then withdraw the funds from the card they require be on file within days of sending the email. I will try to call during a work break. If you're OK with their billing process of receiving an e-mail notice with no statement, or EOB from your insurance carrier, go for it. If you're not, go elsewhere, when I said I did not want my card on file, I was informed that's their billing practice. Bottom line, like it or leave. I will leave. Your other option is to know exactly what you're responsible for, have the facts in hand in writing, pay cash and DO NOT give them a credit card, FSA, or HSA card! Revised 9/20/2023. My response to their comment below. NONE of my other providers demand a credit card be on file. I pay them when I receive my EOB and the amounts due match. If they had an insurance reply from my insurance provider of what was due, why not simply include it when they sent their email statement? NOTE: I inquired if they accepted my insurance before seeing anyone there. They said yes. I have yet to see an EOB or proof from this facility I owe them the funds they withdrew from my HSA card. I sent a question via email after they withdrew funds via my card. I sent an inquiry, they sent a received my question reply on 9-4-2023, it's 9-20-2023, I have yet to receive an answer. I have no problem paying for a service received. I do expect to receive proof of what they charged my HSA card is in fact due them. read more

This was the response I received: "You need to call your provider and check. I cannot do that for you over the phone because I am currently helping patients in front of me." This location gave exceptional care and services for my needs after having a horrible experience at the Carbon Health Victoria Gardens-Rancho Cucamonga location. The doctor and nurse practitioner that serviced me were very professional, straight to the point, top-notch, and phenomenal and knew how to do their jobs correctly. Everything I needed to get done was done quickly and flawlessly with no issues. If I ever need to be serviced again at this franchise, I will make sure I come to this location and recommend it to family and friends. I usually have a great experience with Carbon Health in Eastvale but unfortunately they stopped doing primary care so I had to go to this location. Please do not go here. The receptionist has a bad attitude and they cancelled my appointment and waited until I got there to tell me. I went to my dentist and they ran over time so I messaged this location to tell them I'll be 20 minutes late and when I got there, the receptionist said "they're strict here so I have to make another appointment". I wouldn't have minded if they told me that ahead of time. If you look on the app they have appointments available for the time I got there and there's no patients at the lobby. I've been going to Carbon Health for almost 2 years and I have always been happy with the service except for this location. The receptionist is cold unlike the ones in the Eastvale location. Waste of time coming here but at least I now know to stay away from this location. read more

I would highly advise people to seek treatment elsewhere, Ruby Fuentes who works the front desk is probably the most unprofessional person I've come across at a healthcare facility. I don't like to leave negative reviews. The reason I decided to write this review is because lives are at risk when it comes to finding proper care for loved ones. I brought my mother here and thoroughly explained what she had been experiencing. After she was examined we were reassured that she didn't need to go to the ER. We were explicitly told her lungs were clear. We were given a prescription and sent out to get a chest X-ray at their Norco location. Hours later the prescription was not ready and we never got results from the X-ray. Later that night my mom was rushed to the ER and we learned she had moderate pneumonia with fluid in her right lung! I also had my own experience with carbon health in Brea. There the doctor completely missed a diagnosis for me as well. I was told my pap was normal only to find out that I had a serious situation that would require surgery (when I went to a follow up appointment with my former gynecologist). Two serious issues were completely missed. I will not take the chance a third time. read more

Wanted to provide an update to my first review of Carbon Health. I have been back maybe 4 -5 times due to sports injuries or my little ones being sick. I have always gotten in right away and the staff has always been great. The follow up has always been excellent. I really like how details of the visit and follow up information is provided via the app as soon as you leave the office.
