Let's start by talking about the service!!! Super attentive, accommodating, engaging, prompt, and helpful. The floor team made sure there was always water in the glass, a clean table, the and proper silverware on the table. Inquired about each dish and made modifications if needed. I was really impressed by the service and enjoyed having such a great dining experience Food- this is the next phenomenal aspect of this restaurant. Al dente, creamy, spicy rigatoni, and rich, cooked to perfection, ribeye left us at awe. I was extremely satisfied with both my dishes. Most dishes are perfect for sharing AND they also serve some freebie apps to get you started. Def an experience worth paying for. Loved it. Will be back

The food here was incredible as were the drinks, service, and ambiance. The best thing was obviously the rigatoni. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the flavor of the sauce was delicious. The meatballs, salmon, and chicken parm are also delicious but nothing crazy. The espresso martinis here are delicious. Highly recommend.

A perfect way to spend a date night!! We ordered the Zucchini Fritti which was fried to perfection, it had such an amazing crunch it was basically like french fries by of zucchini, it also came with a delicious garlic sauce and we really loved it!! We also ordered the spicy rigatoni vodka which now I understand the hype around this!! It is incredible and definitely our favorite dish of the night! Finally we ordered the lobster linguine which had plenty of delicious lobster chunks and a delicious sauce, overall an incredible lobster pasta! We really enjoyed our food and great company! Our servers were attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed! Overall fantastic experience and I loved dining here on our special night!

This is probably my 3rd or 4th time visiting Carbone Vino and the experience has never disappointed. Firstly, I would recommend a reservation, especially on the weekend. There is valet parking and street parking if you can snag it. The service has always been exceptional from the moment you walk in. The ambiance of the place is incredible and well designed. I always feel that the servers are knowledgeable about the menu and can give good recommendations. For drinks I would highly recommend their espresso martini. It is easily one of the best made espresso martini's I've had. If you're looking for a red wine to pair the Crognolo is a super Tuscan that is super smooth. Our most recent visit we started with the zucchini which is so incredibly soft with a light layer of batter that pairs nicely with a sauce you can drizzle on it. The pastas have always been Al dente and it is good to share a couple. Their spicy rigatoni is a popular choice. It seems like they do a seasonal menu and we recently tried their lobster fettuccine which was incredible. There were large portions of lobster and the fettuccine was some of the best I've ever had. Finally, for meats we split a special of a bone in 24 oz ribeye that was tender and well cooked. And no entree is complete without a side of their potatoes Louie which are garlicky and melt in your mouth! This place is easily one of my regulars and I hope you try it too!

I visited Carbone Vino with two girlfriends and one of their babies for lunch during the weekend a couple of months ago. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty -- there was only one other occupied table in the whole place. The decor and lighting are reminiscent of the quintessential New York Italian restaurant. My friend had her very tiny baby in a stroller (naturally). The stroller isn't large, by any means, but she was told she couldn't bring the stroller into the restaurant. Instead, they made my poor friend lug the baby carrier into the restaurant while in heels and having recently given birth. We sat down and ordered a bottle of rose to share (that was good). We shared a salad, the carpaccio Piemontese, the spicy rigatoni, the tortellini al tartufo Nero, and Mario's meatballs. The only thing that was remotely okay was the carpaccio. The rigatoni was nothing to write home about, the tortellini was bland and the meatballs are completely overrated. I visited the South Beach location some time ago and remember liking the food, but this experience left much to be desired. I'm really not sure why Carbone Vino is as popular as it is and definitely don't think it's worth the price tag.

Such a cute and romantic addition to the Grove! Its in a convenient spot, it was a little tricky getting a reservation, but easier than the one on the beach.. The bar menu is a bit different than the restaurant so make sure to review both menus before you go. We started off at the bar while waiting to be seated. I had a nice glass of wine while i waited. We sat and had the bread service, it was so good. Warm bread with pickled veggies was something i never thought I would try but it paired so good. I used to juice from the veggies to dip in the bread. Then we had the tableside Cesar salad. It was delicious, they asked if we wanted the anchovies included, and i was the only one who wanted them, so i had them give them to me on the side and i mixed them in. Of course we had to have their infamous spicy rigatoni. 10/10 no notes. Delicious flavor of sauce and good consistency, and the pasta is cooked al dente. Loved it. The service was a little slow but otherwise we had a great evening.

The only reason I'm giving this restaurant a 2 star review is based on being turned away at the front desk. I went on Sunday for lunch (which is a new concept as they're open on Fridays / Saturdays and Sunday's for lunch) So for us Miamian's were use to going to brunch on a Sunday casual as well it's Miami.. I went in nice shorts, a collar button down shirt and as stated before I was turned away !! So if you've been planning on going to Carbone Vino for lunch, please don't go in shorts as they will turn you away. There's plenty of other places in the grove and anywhere in Miami that will accept you in shorts for a Sunday brunch.

My experience at Carbone Vino was mediocre. Once I entered, the interior decor was beautiful and grand. It was red and black and romantic. It used to be a comedy club in the past. The food was just okay. The bread dish came with a vegetable medley of carrots and celery along with mortadella. The bread was soft. The Caesar salad was doused with cheese. We also ordered spicy rigatoni which was cooked al dente. It looked like chef boyardee out of a can. It was just alright. Nothing to write home about. The worst part was that they forgot our ribeye completely. Approximately 45 minutes had passed and we had somewhere to be after our dinner, so we cancelled our order. I was pretty upset as I came specifically to eat my protein source for dinner. In addition, the waiter brought over our dessert menu PRIOR to us even getting the ribeye and prior to us cancelling, which was just bad form. I am very upset, since I eat a very strict diet during weekdays and this was my cheat meal which was essentially wasted on Carbone Vino. Do not recommend to others.

I recently had the opportunity to visit for the first time to celebrate my fiancé's birthday. The ambiance and aesthetics were beautiful, giving off a 1920s Italian luxury vibe. With dim romantic lighting and booth-style seating, the space felt intimate while still offering three separate dining rooms to accommodate larger groups and plenty of reservations. Food: We started with the tableside Caesar salad -- I'd recommend asking for the anchovies on the side. The melon and prosciutto were a perfect balance of salty and sweet, and the meatballs, while well-seasoned, were on the smaller side. For entrées, we tried the lamb, the mushroom steak, the spicy vodka pasta, and the Bolognese. All had great flavor, though nothing truly stood out as exceptional. Service & Value: Here's where the experience fell short. Our server was not personable -- she checked in on us only three times, never introduced herself, and didn't create the welcoming atmosphere you'd expect at this price point. On top of that, the "family style" claim felt misleading. We were required to order two portions of each entrée to serve four people, which we did not do and decided to order one plate per person. I've dined at other upscale Italian restaurants in the area that actually serve family-style, and I would have paid less, received more food and a warmer overall experience. Wine: The wine list is extensive, almost overwhelming. Thankfully, I had researched beforehand and knew what bottles to look for; otherwise, navigating it would have been a challenge. Overall: While the ambiance is gorgeous and the menu has highlights, the experience didn't justify the price ($600-$700 for 4 people). It feels like you're paying more for the Carbone name than the actual dining experience. I'd consider coming back only for a girls' night where we order appetizers, wine, or cocktails but not for a full dinner.

Such a classy restaurant that is a must try in Miami. We went for lunch on a weekend and it was relatively easy to grab a reservation. The service was top notch with the staff taking care of our every need. The food was also some of the best Italian food I've had in a while, especially the hot giardinara and bread service!! The Vodka pasta and espresso martini are must try's in my opinion

We had an overall nice experience here. I love the ambiance. It's really evocative of an Italian spot in NY. It's a wonderful spot for a romantic dinner. I appreciated the giardinera, focaccia, and mortadella offered compliments of the kitchen. The focaccia was fantastic. We had a tuna and Calabrian chili appetizer that was a special, which I believed was worth the $30+ price. The lobster fettuccine was also quite good and came with a surprisingly generous lobster portion, so i was fine with it being $39. The spicy rigatoni, however, was just fine. I honestly don't think it was worth the price. It's very easy to make at home just as good. The service was fine, but I suppose that I expected it to be more hospitable and warm than your average restaurant.

A restaurant that still comes to mind months later is usually doing something right, and this visit confirmed what we loved about our first experience. We made reservations without any issues a couple of days before. The restaurant was clean, bright, and had not filled up yet with the busy Sunday family crowd. Upon being seated, we were provided with the regular menu and the Miami Spice Lunch menu. The Miami Spice Lunch, which has now become a daily Executive Lunch special, is a standout value. The portion sizes and the quality of the Argentinian steaks speak for themselves. As a group, here's what we ordered: Starters - Ham and Cheese Empanadas - Morcilla - Grilled Provolone Each starter delivered exactly what you'd expect from an Argentinian steakhouse. The empanadas were warm and flaky, the morcilla was rich and well seasoned, and the grilled provolone came out bubbling and perfect for sharing amongst our table with the restaurant's complementary bread basket. Entrée: - New York Strip Steak, 12 oz This was the only cut of steak we ordered. It was cooked to each of our desired temperatures and seasoned simply, letting the quality of the beef speak for itself. It is clear why La Cabrera has a reputation as one of Latin America's best restaurants. Sauces on the side, which included a BBQ sauce, and a chimichurri, were left for our choosing and were used for the side dishes more than anything. Sides: - French Fries - Jasmine Rice Both sides complemented the steak well. The fries were crispy and large in size. My father-in-law, a cuban man who's very serious about his rice dishes, thought the jasmine rice was very good. Dessert: - Dulce de Leche Ice Cream with Cone - Dulce de Leche Pancakes The ice cream was smooth and rich, while the pancakes were finished with a sugary powder coating that was impossible to resist. This lunch reinforced why La Cabrera continues to be stand out in a crowded field of steakhouses. Between the consistency, generous portions, and the value of their daily menu specials, it's an easy recommendation whether you're bringing family, hosting someone from out of town, or simply looking for a great lunch in Coconut Grove.

Music can be loud, but it is to the point where you cannot even hear yourself when speaking or you can only hear the other guests yelling. Suggestions to restaurant management, get rid of the awkward, short tables and chairs, or ask guests when they're making the reservation if they want to sit in that type of setting. The eggs were a bit underwhelming and had a little bit of an odd aftertaste but they were still good. We loved both the baguette and the bagel. I've been going to Koko since it opened, and until now I've always had great experiences…read more Unfortunately, my recent visit during the Mexico World Cup match was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. Before going, we called the restaurant to ask if they would be showing the World Cup games, and we were told they would be showing all of them. Based on that, we expected a good viewing experience. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. There aren't enough TVs, many of the views are obstructed, and we actually had to move to the bar just to see part of the game. Even then, the music was so loud that we couldn't hear the match at all. When we asked the manager about it, he told us that ownership's instructions were to play music instead of the game's audio. That was especially surprising considering this is a Mexican-owned restaurant and the match was a Mexico World Cup game. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service. To be fair, the restaurant was only about half full, so this wasn't a situation where the staff was overwhelmed by a packed house or unusually heavy demand. I was there with two female friends. I ordered a martini while my friends simply asked for water. The bartender reacted as if asking for water was somehow an inconvenience. We weren't even served chips and salsa until we repeatedly waved down members of the staff and specifically requested them. The bartenders consistently ignored us. My friends waited nearly 20 minutes before anyone came back so they could order their martinis. We later ordered guacamole and the Leña skirt steak. The guacamole arrived promptly, but the steak never did. When we asked another bartender to check on it, he looked in the system and told us there was no food order entered at all. This was unbelievable because the original bartender had described the dish, asked how we wanted the steak cooked, and appeared to take the order. He simply never entered it. When we complained to the manager about the missing food, he told us the kitchen was already closed but that he would "make an exception" and have the steak prepared for us. That response really upset me because this wasn't us asking for special treatment--it was the restaurant trying to correct its own mistake. I told him to simply cancel the order. He then said not to worry because he wouldn't charge us for it, as if not charging for a meal would somehow make up for the experience we had just endured. I declined the offer, but he responded by saying he would bring it anyway and that if we didn't want it, we could just leave it there. To me, that response was even more dismissive and completely missed the point. Throughout the evening, the bartenders were inattentive, dismissive, and consistently rude. Their attitude completely overshadowed what had always been one of my favorite restaurants in Coconut Grove. By halftime, we had simply had enough. Instead of continuing what should have been a fun night, we decided to leave the restaurant and go home, where we watched the rest of the Mexico match in the comfort of my home. Sadly, that turned out to be the best part of the night. I'm writing this review because I know Koko is capable of much better. My previous visits have always been enjoyable, which made this experience even more disappointing. However, if you're planning to watch a World Cup match there, I would strongly recommend choosing another venue. While they may tell you they'll be showing the game, the viewing experience is poor, the game audio is replaced with loud music, and based on our visit, the service was, without question, the worst I've experienced there since the restaurant opened. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously because Koko has always been one of my favorite restaurants, and I'd like to be able to recommend it again. Unfortunately, after this experience, I simply can't.
