Being a white guy, I freeking love coming to this little Mexican market. I bring my kids for carne asada here once a week.....its incredible!! The produce here is super cheap as well. I've been here a dozen times and I always want to over eat.....the all meat burritos are the best and cheap!! The Pro's Ranch Market is a great place to buy authentic Mexican groceries. These markets not only carry groceries, but they have a designated dinning area surrounded by a complete Mexican culture experience. As my mom and I walked into the doors of the market, we were immediately overwhelmed with the amount of Mexican pastries offered. Any pastry imaginable could be found at Pro's Ranch Market. In addition to the massive amounts of treats, further back there was a huge, multi-colored cabana that provided customers a place to enjoy a true Mexican meal. This was only the beginning of the experience. As a matter of fact, the actual grocery section of the store included anything from the affordable produce (American or Mexican) to the variety of meat available at the carniceria. The Pro's Ranch Market is not your average grocery store. Throughout the entire venue, there is continuous fiesta music playing and every wall is covered with bright, engaging colors of different designs. If you want Mexican food, decent produce, amazing fresh salsa, mexican sweet bread and great prices for groceries all in one place?? This is where to go. I swear you need to get some green chile salsa (verde) or the MOLECAJETE red salsa....best thing ever!!!! They have agua fresa and they juice for you if you are juicing....they have Milanesa tortas, caldo, sopes, tacos, flautas (rolled tacos), burritos, rice, beans....and a place to sit it all! Being from Texas originally....this is just like being in El Paso! OH and did I mention they have menudo??? (the normal kind with oregano and chile and lime you can add)...really decent prices too! I got a sope and it was awesome...crema, lechuga tomate -- mine was just bean and it was all I needed. My friend got carnitas tacos and they looked straight out a taco truck on a late Saturday night...onions, cilantro and lime to accompany what seemed to be amazing tacos...they have a salsa bar too (dont forget to buy some Molecajete salsa...really you will not be dissapointed!!) Gotta love this place, it has everything you need. Meats of all varieties, cheese, produce, bakery items, its all here. If you get hungry while shopping, you can get amazing food in the back of the store where they have a restaurant and tortillaria. If you're thirsty, you can get awesome fruit drinks or horchatad at the drinks stand. Its amazing. I love it, even if its sometimes a bit smelly around the seafood section. I missed shopping here when I was away from the southwest. Happy to note that there are several locations in the Phoenix area to choose from! read more

They have the best Yellow Corn Tortillas. Red Eagle is actually the best brand but not all stores carry them. So go to the next best. Only thing that sucks is they sell out fast. I am not fond of the White Corn tortillas, they need to make more yellow or keep them coming when they are selling out. I also get the mexican cheese there and its so good and fresh. This store is so much better then Food City. Love the different areas of mexican foods you can purchase. read more

If you're looking for authenic mexican/hispanic foods then this is the grocery store for you. The fresh produce section is stacked with some stuff you can't find in a lot of places. A product I was looking for wasn't in stock and a really kind supervisor helped me and my girl find it elsewhere but none of their stores had it. So she wrote my girl's name and number down and said she would get back to us as soon as they get another delivery of the product. It's christmas week and she said the product was selling like hotcakes. It's the frozen dough for empanadas. I really like how she treated us. Her name was Martha. She is the assistant store manager. She was really nice! Because of her I will definently be coming back to this grocery store. We will be coming back on Wednesday for our empanada dough. Thanks Martha! read more

I love Los Altos Ranch Market! So much that my family and I drive from San Tan Valley to buy here. All locations are really great! The employees and products are worth the drive. Unfortunately the Store Manager is apparently too busy to speak with customers and talks down to his employees, he should receive more training. I do love the store though. read more

This a great neighborhood market, but unfortunately I've been experiencing some real bad customer service at the meat deli where I like to have my fish fried. There's an older lady and man that work this area. They seem to be frustrated with their interaction with customers. They don't listen very well with how people want their food cooked and prepared. I've spoken to management about their customer service and nothing seem to have been adjusted or changed in regards to their attitudes. It's sad that they treat their customers with such poor attitudes, frustrations of their ability to do their job and how management is ran. I'm considering shopping elsewhere because of this constant particular poor customer service. I wouldn't recommend family or friends to experience what I have their recently. Hopefully management or corporate can read this review and make the necessary changes to better ease my experience I have so far in that department. read more

I Just LOVE when they have the corn on the stick with the cheese and mayo. Great customer service. All the ladies at the checkout stations are very nice to me. The fruits and vegies are all fresh all the time. Service is great. Hot food is great too. Just wish there was a sushi bar, then the store would have it all. Just an idea!! Now last but not least, there's a magic woman doing pastry and cakes, her name is Alvina......You will Never look for another cake maker again, she will taunt your senses with her great pastry's. We had heard about the market from another small ranch market when we were looking for a tortilleria in Mesa. They recommended Los Altos, and off we went. Walking into the store--a complex really, a combination supermarket, tortilleria, fish market, juice bar, restaurant and community gathering place--was like entering a neighborhood market in Mexico, where we were the visitors among the locals. Shoppers and clerks were very much at home there. We asked a man who looked like he worked there where the tortilleria was and he took us to that corner of the store. Along the way he introduced himself as Ariel and we told him it was our first visit. He asked us what kinds of Mexican food we liked, and I recited a short list of favorites: cheese, pork, salsa, chicken... He told us he'd love to offer us a sample of each, and he took us round to each part of the store that offered what I'd mentioned and gave us each a sample of everything on our list. Without exception everything was fresh and well prepared. His hospitality paid, because we ended up buying a pint, bucket or stack of everything we sampled. And because Wednesday's special was chicken, we got a whole roasted bird, cut and cooked Mexican style, with a package of tortillas, for $5. Also a large horchata and several things we hadn't planned to buy. So, all in all, a wonderful outing and we feel like we found a warm place of welcome and community. Makes the "regular" Mesa supermarket experience seem rather faceless and generic by comparison. We'll definitely be back. read more

I have never been to a Ranch Market before, so one night we stopped as we were very hungry. Myself, husband, and son waited in line for about 15 minutes. Every person who had been in line at the restaurant counter had their food, paid, and sat down to eat. The three of us stood there and waited for one of 6 employees behind the counter to acknowledge our presence. Not a one of them wanted to make eye contact, finally one of them came to the counter for assistance. Because my four year old is picky, I asked if I could get a chicken and rice meal. The employee looked at me, acted confused and said 'I don't think we have anymore chicken... You can go check at the other counter and see.' Really? I waited in line with my family for you (a customer service employee) to tell me that I needed (me, the customer) to check and see if you have chicken. Give me a break. I looked at her and said 'thanks for your help, appreciate it.' I know when I am not wanted, and when my money is not wanted. I will not be returning here, ever. I gave a rating of two stars because wanted to like this place, but unfortunately I was treated poorly. read more

They are racist. If you're white, don't go here and expect to be treated nicely or helped in anyway. I was ignored by several employees and when I did get help they were really rude and made sure that they ignored my presence as long as they could. The first couple times I went here I thought it was just one of those days, got my things and moved on. I seriously love this place except for the meat department! I expect there to be smells but have never smelled a meat department quite like this, it smells like literal poop. It would have been 5 stars if not for that. I stay clear of the meat department and stick with the yummy house made tortillas, the cheese bar, the salsa bar and the delicious tacos! Great Pepper selection too but seriously clean up the meat department! The hamhocks I picked up were wet underneath and the butcher paper had blood splatters. No napkins or handsanitizers to clean my hands after touching the wet meat package. read more

back then when they first opened their deli foods were amazing my parents enjoyed eating there. but now since everything changed, its gone down hill with poor management, rude and poorly trained workers. back then the workers knew what was going on, they served a nice amount to the plates especially if you were taking food to either work or at home. but now they just give you in a rudely manner like say "here now get out" and giving you a few pieces of meat barely anything at all, now they are upping up the cost and prices for the hot foods that they barely give you. not to mention there salad bar is very dirty and messy even the workers ignore it without anyone even going up and cleaning it. am sorry but i hope they change soon or else they will lose costumers. read more

This place is a super authentic Mexican supermarket with a restaurant. They have a deli, a stand for agua frescas, a butcher, fresh seafood, and a nice restaurant. Overall it is a super clean space with low priced Mexican groceries (And American too! You can probably find anything you need here to be honest). I give this place 4 stars and not 5 because I've had some of the chorizo and ceviche from the deli and they were definitely not worth how much I paid for them. The food at the restaurant is also just sort of average, but authentic, Mexican food. That won't stop me from coming back though! Deinitely give this place a try but stay clear of the ceviche and the restaurant. read more

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with Ranch Market (Mesa). On 12/14/16 I placed an online catering order for 12/17/16 to be picked up between 4-5 PM. After submitting my order I received a confirmation on my cell phone. On 12/15/16 I tried calling the store at (480) 969-127, to confirm such order and the phone was never picked up. On 12/16/16 I called (480) 969-1270 and again no one answered. I subsequently called the Customer Service number 1888-672-9832 during business hours and no one answered. On 12/17/16 I arrived at Ranch Market (Mesa) at 4:30 PM and waited in line for approximately 30 minutes. While I waited, I asked one of the employees, Sandra, if I was waiting in the correct line for pick-up orders to which she rudely responded "it's the same line". Finally, when my turn approached, I was "helped" by the same employee, Sandra, and I advised her that I was picking up an order that was placed online. She simply walked away and a few minutes later another employee assisted me. Juana advised me that my order was never received because I was supposed to print out the form that was emailed to me, fill it out, and drop it off at the store. I told Juana that on the website there is no clear indication that such step needs to be taken and that I had a party starting at 5 PM for 30 people, that I would now have no food for. She said that she was simply an employee and couldn't do anything. I then spoke to Carlos the General Manager who advised me of the process again. He spoke to Juana and she was able to prepare my order, after an hour wait. Juana was very apologetic; however, no one offered me a discount which I feel was absolutely warranted due to the inconvenience and the hour that they made me waste there waiting. I was so disappointed with the whole experience and I will never do business with Ranch Market (Mesa) again. 1) Customers who have placed orders in advance should not have to wait in line for 30 minutes to pick up an order. 2) An online order should be just that, customers should NOT have to print out a form, fill it out, and then drive it to a store, THIS DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF OFFERING ONLINE ORDERING!!! This company is completely unreliable, unprofessional, and has no concept of good customer service. read more

I love this place. You can find just about anything you need. They have a great produce dept, meat and seafood of all types, homemade tortillas, every kind of chile you can imagine, and more. They let you taste things such as their homemade salsas, creme, etc. I haven't tried the food court located inside but it looks awesome. The place is extremely clean, can get crowded, and it's not difficult to get assistance from their staff. I am very happy they are now open in Mesa. read more

If you like cooking Mexican food, this is a great place to stock up on ingredients. You wouldn't know it from the name of the store, but it definitely caters to the hispanic food-eating crowd. Fruits and veggies here are cheap, and will decay on your countertop faster than fruits & veggies from a more commercialized store. I take this as a good sign, because it shows me they don't go heavy on the preservatives. They have a great selection of meats & mexican cheeses, their milk is delicious, not overcreamy like some commercial brands, they make all of their tortillas and pico fresh, and they have a restaurant right in the store that serves freshly cooked Mexican food. I've yet to eat there, but there always seems to be people there ordering food. They also have this fruit bar that is unique to Mexican culture. This store is worth checking out, and provides a nice alternative to Walmart and commercialized grocery stores. Worth checking out at least once. read more

I went to get a cake today and was publicly insulted and humiliated by the cashier because I wasn't explaining what I wanted right. She yelled at my sick mother and when I tried to get a manager to help he was just as rude and insulting to me. I left upset and my mother very sick, they were horrible. I would not recommend any elderly, sick, or children there if they can not take the pressure. I was surprised at the treatment, I thought it was a good place. This is the most fun you'll have in a supermarket. Start off with an agua fresca at the stand inside the door. You can enjoy that while waiting in line at the restaurant/food stand. The street tacos are great -- as good as I have had anywhere -- but they have a variety of other delicious looking items as well. Although you are technically inside a supermarket, the dining area is really pleasant. There are large picnic tables and the music and decorations give it a fiesta feel. Once you have gotten yourself primed for Mexican food, this large ethnic market has everything you need to continue at home. Don't miss the fresh tortillas in the back. read more

Wish I can give 5 extra stars, this place is Awesome, Friday I bought some Marinated Chicken thighs and Carne Sada, I didn't realize how big it was and what they had to offer, this was my first time visiting, The prices are GREAT!!!! So I told my wife I wanted to take her and the kids to check it out, so we went back today. We walked in and past the bakery first, and we were welcomed with big smiles and hellos, a man came from the back with free cupcakes for the kids, we then checked out the section with all the fresh juices and waters, again with the warm welcomes and Hellos, the woman was offering free samples of the waters, excellent taste, I had to buy..... we browsed the entire store and depts, and did not see one person that didn't smile or say hello, what a great atmosphere, and not to mention the entire place was so clean and well kept, you guys are great, I will definitely be returning to this venue again and I'm coming from Maricopa. read more
