I made appointment for test drive . Texted him 1 hour before I go because the dealership is 45 mins away from my house. When I arrived, there was no such car. 3rd vehicle from them - this time was a simple lease buy out transaction - I terminated the deal when they attempted to pull a mandatory 1,000 vehicle inspection prior to the sale even though I was the sole driver of the vehicle and all service work provided by them - and despite financing being arranged thru my own bank - called other nearby MaMazda dealers and they reported no vehicle inspection was needed. This review is strictly in regards to the service department and the negative experience I had with a recall repair performed on my Mazda CX-7. The lower control arms were replaced on both sides of my CX-7. I have owned this vehicle since it was new and only had Mazda service this vehicle. Upon performing the repair they damaged a very expensive component on my vehicle and it took a while for me to discover their decietfulness. The damaged component was the CV shaft boot which was cut with a tool while disassembling the lower control arm. The part is over $1400 so naturally the dealership claimed too much time had gone by for it to be something they are liable for and blamed it on the CV Shaft boot wearing out due to normal wear and tear. Unfortunately for them I know better and my vehicle hardly had 50,000 miles on it at the time and was only 5 years old. They finally agreed to pay for half the cost of replacing the damaged boot which I reluctantly agreed. Fast forward to now and my new mechanic called me to inform me the same CV boot is leaking and the entire shaft needed replacement as just fixing the boot would be the equivalent of kicking the can down the road. I mentioned that this boot is hardly over a year old and he stated this boot is original to the car. So in conclusion Cadinale Way Mazda damaged a very expensive CV Shaft on my car, swindled me into making a repair knowing very well it would be a problem later on, and then didn't even perform the repair to begin with. I want to mention that Im a level headed and fair individual that is too busy to deal with issues such as these but when Im taken advantage of I will make my voice heard. I let my service advisor know about this situation on Monday and he assured me Sean the service manager would call me Thursday to address the problem. It is now Friday and they havent called me. I called them and got the run around. Apparently Sean was in a very big and important meeting and when I asked the service writer when he would call me her response was "I dont know, Im leaving for vacation at 4pm and Sean may call you next week". I hope this review helps when you're choosing a place to service your Mazda. If you've read this much you're probably the GM or Sean. Im standing my ground and will be taking my vehicle to several other dealers and independent mechanics to have this diagnosed. This is a matter of principle at this point and spending $500-600 on diagnostic fees to tell me what I already know to build a case against you is a lot less cheaper than replacing my $1,400 CV Shaft your mechanic damaged. I was looking for CX-9 and called the dealership before I headed over( since I'm an hour away) asked if they had the base model with NO ADD ONS, the man we spoke to said they had it so we scheduled an appointment for 8/17 when I called before I headed out to make sure the car was still available a woman named Lina said yes and I asked the price and she said 36,000 with NO ADD ONS I get to the dealership and everything was good until they brought the paperwork the car was $37,000+ and $1,000+ of ad ons, my boyfriend asked her is we can have the car at 40k out the door she responded with "boy don't play with me" I was in shocked it was super unprofessional. Then she said she'd come back so we can think about it, she proceeds to leave us for 50 min!!!! The manager comes up to me and says sorry will be with you in a few minutes and I told him we've been waiting for almost an hour he responds "no you haven't" and I showed him I had made a call at 6:20 and it's now 7:11 he leaves and helps us out we go back and forth the woman Lina comes back and we tell her we have to think about it but can I have the paper work she makes a face and says no and walks away (weird) the whole situation made me very uncomfortable and I'm glad I didn't purchase the car with them. read more

Being a first time auto buyer, one of the things that I wanted from the dealer where I would purchase my car was an honest and friendly environment - CardinalWay provided this to me. I had the opportunity to work with Steven when I visited CardinalWay looking for a Mazda3 Hatchback. From the onset, he was the the most candid salesperson I had encountered the entire day. He was straightforward with me from the moment he said "hello" in the parking lot. After having him tell me about the car and taking me on a test drive we went inside to run numbers. Neil was the person that helped run and explain the numbers for me. He was also honest and straightforward and put in a lot of effort to put together a deal I was comfortable with. After he gave me a concrete offer, I notified him that I would not be able to commit until I looked at what other dealers could offer me. We had an appointment to test drive a Mazda 3 hatchback that I saw online at 6:15pm, they had it listed online for a great price through usaa and I had already talked to an associate earlier that day about the vehicle and got the test drive all set up. When we get there the sales associates insisted that we get a new 2020 model instead [because it better to buy a new car right ??] Anyways, after talking to the associate and leting them firmly know we only came to view and test drive the car we inquired about, they leave and say they are going to see if the car is still here. Still here??...but we had an appointment to test drive the car? That's why we were there in the first place! They come back and say that the car is at a different dealership and someone else is about to buy it. They asked if we were sure we didnt want to look at a 2020 vehicle. We did not. And we left. I feel that if the vehicle was not there they should of called and told us instead of wasting our time. Two stars because although they did waste our time the sales associate was nice. read more

Mazda and their service department is the worst I have never in my life had my car given back to me still broken twice. Either Mazda decided to have the worst engine put into their cars in 2012 or this service department is just the worst. They have returned my car to me twice without the issue being resolved. This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable behavior by a repair service. My car is a 2012 Mazda 3 with 86000 miles on it. Just for frame of reference. read more
