My key less clicker broke. I could not get in my car if I locked the doors, so I had to leave one door unlocked when I went to work. I stopped by Cardinaleway dealership on my way home. Michael Salas and Tiffany Garcia helped me figure out the problem. Michael showed me how to start the car with the key less remote even if the battery on the key less remotes were not working. Tiffany Garcia replaced the batteries on both my key less remotes and gave solid advice on steps to take if the issue is not resolved. The salesperson who helped us, Mike, was easy to deal with. We started through email communication and when we got to the dealership, everything was pretty much set. They were easy to deal with, straightforward yet very professional. The negotiation for the final price of the vehicle we purchased went fairly smooth. However, the sales pitch for the extended warranty was not a good experience. Too much pressure. We said no 3 separate times. Isaac, I felt, was very pushy. In the end, we could have kept saying no but felt pressured to buy the extended warranty just to finalize the paperwork and get out of there to pick up our son from his basketball practice. read more

DON'T go for the Groupon oil change. I purchased an oil change deal on Groupon: 3 oil changes for $22.00. Good deal considering I usually pay $20+ for just one oil change at Terrible Herbst. I called Planet Mazda to make the appointment and was told "if you come on a Saturday you'll have a three hour wait. Come on a weekday and we can get you in and out much faster." I scheduled for a Thursday morning because I wasn't in any position to drop off my car for 3 hours. So I dropped off my car and the technician was super friendly and helpful. He showed me to the lobby/waiting area which was clean, inviting, had the local news on the tv, water & coffee and even donuts from Krispy Kreme. I was told it would be about an hour, which seemed a bit long for an oil change as I was the first customer of the day. No problem, I had a full charge on my phone and lots of emails to review. But one hour turned to two hours and three. By the third, I was annoyed. When they were almost done, the technician came to the lobby to inform me they were finishing up. He told me that they recommended a new belt (which I expected) and that my power steering fluid was leaking. To be clear: I know my car very well. I've taken very good care of it for it's entire "life". I check the fluid levels at every gas fill up. I knew for a fact that I had no leaks whatsoever. When I called him out on his inaccuracy, he stammered a bit, seemingly surprised that I knew my stuff. He shrugged it off with "well it's your car and your choice but it's my recommendation you have it repaired." For the belt replacement they wanted $280 and for the power steering repair $415. Nope. I waited another 45 minutes for them to finish up and wash the car (which wasn't needed as I had washed it the day before). So at this point, I had been there for nearly 4 hours & was told I needed almost $700 in repairs. When the car was ready, no one came to tell me. I was tiring of waiting so I walked over to the service desk to see it parked and waiting for me. I checked out and received my keys. The car looked horrible: water spots and streaks on the windows. They didn't do me any favors by washing it. The following day, I picked up a belt at Auto Zone for $20 and took my car over to Aamco (there is a review by me for them too). They switched out the belt for $45 and finished in 15 minutes. I decided that I won't be redeeming the other two oil changes I purchased through groupon and will definitely not return to Planet Mazda ever again. read more

Would not honor their own internet deal, initially came in for a 0 down 199/monthly cx5 special based on approved credit which was no problem with us, after numerous days of going back and forth, they told us to bring in the online promotion and said they would honor all promotions and misprints, we went in to give them one last chance, the sales manager had the audacity to tell us the promotion actually said 0 down OR 36 months OR 199/ month, which completely made no sense, see my ripoffreport for the exact print on the promotion. Walked in and three hours later drove off with a (leased) brand new 2016 Mazda3. They even accepted my old POS car for well more than it was worth. The team doesn't work on commission so there's no harm in showing up and shopping. The one downside that I found is that the 'new car' perfume they throw in after you buy the car kicked off my allergies. I met with Shane who was very knowledgeable and provided a test drive explaining everything about the car. I was provided with a detailed price on the car with easy to understand financing options. I was never pressured to buy addons or extended warranties. It was a pleasant experience. I was able to pickup the car the same day and it was fully detailed prior to my pickup appointment. Andrew worked with Shane to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. It is easy to get after sale questions answered and any issues resolved. Brought my car to get a nail out of the tire. I called made an appointment when I got there they told me I do not have a appointment. The blond lady from service has the worst customer service possible she was rolling her eyes at me and making faces. You people need to get it together and fire this person. I don't think there is a single person out there that looks forward to going to the dealership to look at cars because of the usual sales people that bombard you and start swarming you like sharks in the water. I know I don't. I called ahead to ask some questions about release dates, etc. I was transferred to Fronzell who is the internet sales manager. I think it must have been my lucky day to have gotten him on the phone. He was not pushy, not annoying, not rude. He did not fit any of the stereotypes I had in my head of sales people at car dealerships. Fronzell did not pressure me to come in. He offered me a lot of different options for moving forward on a new vehicle. I made an appointment to come see him that same day. He had pulled two cars that fit my needs to the front for me to look at and test drive. He took his time with me and never put the pressure on me to do anything I was not comfortable with. He offered his honest opinion and was a very humble, kind person. I did end up purchasing a vehicle that night and he was able to help me out. The lack of 5 stars is because it still does the usual "dealership" rigamaroll. You have to hear the big speech about the extended warranty and maintenance packages (which I tuned down). Finance came in with a typical super low trade in value on my vehicle. Far below what KBB showed as value and what Carmax showed. I had to bring it up in negotiation. Because of Fronzell, I am very happy with the customer service I received and I look forward to working with them in the future. read more

Today I received a message from Yelp that the photo of the letter Planet Mazda sent me was taken down. I understand since now it is known as Cardinale Way Mazda so they might have new owners who would never do that to their customers. In any case, my car was in to this dealership last December when it was still Planet Mazda. My husband took it there for a complete detail and to get burrs taken out of my tire rims. They did a really great job and I was very pleased. They also were very courteous, friendly and hardworking. They even gave me special Mazda "M" caps for my tires. I was happy with their service. My husband bought a maintenance package at the time and it's due to go in (I drive infrequently) and I hope Cardinale will still honor the package. read more

They were willing to work with us and we were able to get out of our truck -which we had negative equity- and got us actually under what we said we wanted to pay monthly. Will definitely recommend them to ppl looking for a vehicle!! 2wks later and we have to bring the car back because they couldn't get us financed even after signing a contract...2wks I drove around in this beautiful car that I fell in love with and now had to bring it back....they really need to fix the financing department.....don't let ppl sign freaking contracts if you can't guarantee it.
