Disappointed. Purchased my vehicle Brand New 02/2019, went in today for regular maintenance and brake noise concern, only to be told ONE of my Rotors are bad (after 1 year and under 25,000 miles) and front brake pads bad as well. Also my first oil change (3 months after i purchased the vehicle they changed out my wipers, ive used them maybe twice since we all know Las Vegas is such a rainy state and again they wanted to charge an additional fee for wipers they just changed !!!! and all this could be fixed with JUST $500 and change .....smh!!!! I asked the guy "Does this make sense to you that ONE ROTOR is bad within one year?" and he said NO, but could not really give me a logical answer. Our other vehicle (2015) has been through trips to Mexico, Texas, California and still the rotors are all good !!! I change my vehicles out every 3 years and not once have i needed to change out my rotors within a year of purchasing!!! I was raised by a mechanic so none of what he was telling me made sense with a NEW CAR, the answers he gave were for an old USED vehicle!! Went to Firestone who advised me that the Rotor went bad because the manufacture installation was uneven, this should have been covered under the warranty !! The fact that i felt like he did not want to help and gave me mileage numbers, weight and excuses, just makes me more confident that in a year when i decide to swap out my car i wont be returning to Mazda ! You don't push potential lifelong customers away !!! read more

This review is specifically for Robert Chong, who sold me my new Mazda CX-5. I had a wonderful sales experience that went above and beyond from the very start. I first came in right before close, but he still hooked me up with a test drive. I had come in to look at the certified pre-owned cars, but he helped me figure out that the new one might work better for me, overall. He was very knowledgable and seemed genuinely passionate about both Mazda cars and about me getting something that fit my needs. I needed some time to thinks, so he came in the next day on his day off to meet me for the possible sale, and even picked up Starbucks for me, my sister, and her fiance. Before I made my decision, in great detail, we went over all the financials and pros and cons of the pre-owned, lease, and new purchase routes. I never felt pressured, just informed and well served. While they were doing my credit check, he took the time to go over the interior interfaces with me in detail and even detailed my moon roof himself, when we saw that the service center had missed a few spots. He made it very clear that I should reach out to him if I had any questions about the car at any point, and even sent a cute follow up video message the next day to thank me and reiterate his availability for questions. All the employees who were there that night seemed happy, present, and positive, unlike a lot of the grumps or detached seeming people at other dealerships I'd met while I was looking at my options elsewhere. I purchased a new 2014 Mazda 3 in August of 2014 at Planet Mazda. I wrote a check for the purchase so I didn't have to play the "payment/finance" game. The MRSP was on the car. I made an offer and we went back and forth for a few minutes and I bought the car. It was very simple. If you want to have an easy experience purchasing a vehicle, have a 780 credit score or higher and have a sizeable down payment or pay cash. I think most of the frustrated customers probably have marginal credit and a minimal down payment and probably shouldn't even be in the dealership. The more "marginal" you are, the less leverage you have in calling the shots. Also, if you believe you are a qualified buyer and the price isn't right, go to the next dealer. It just isn't that difficult to buy a car. read more

***BUYER/LEASER BEWARE*** This has been the worst customer service experience EVER! I have purchased vehicles with no problem before and this was just outright exhausting and stressful. First off, I scheduled an appointment on October 9 with Scott for October 10 at 6pm and when I showed up, He was at a "Doctors appointment". By this time, I should have read this as a RED FLAG and ran when I could. While I was there I was looking to Lease a vehicle and trade in my old one. Thankfully Sylvia helped me and took in place of Scotts absence. We came to an agreement and I was happy with that. When I went back in to finalize the papers, Sylvia was not around and Scott was there. EVERYTHING changed! The prices, the agreement and the quality of service was just horrible. I let him know me an Sylvia agreed upon a certain price and he was refusing to honor it. Sadly Sylvia was on vacation and couldn't assist. Scott then explained why the prices were the way that they were. He kept going over this sheet of paper and explaining the cost of the car and the rebate and so on and so fourth. I could obviously see that and he made me feel like I was an idiot. Like I didn't know what I was talking about. I kept telling him this was not what we agreed upon and I was NOT happy! I told him to just give me back my Honda (I took the Mazda). He refused to give me back my car and tried to negotiate down the price. At this point I didn't even care about the car anymore. I just wanted out as he kept making me feel like I was stupid. I kept telling him I didn't want any kind of deal and I just wanted my Honda back. He finally gave in and snatched the keys off the desk. When I went outside to get my Honda, (Sylvia removed my license plate as we had an agreement about the transaction). My mother was putting my plated back onto my car and Scott came out to harass me some more about getting the price back down. I WAS HONESTLY SO IRRITATED AT THIS POINT. He then said "what's really going on?", I paused in confusion and asked what the heck could he possibly be talking about and he said, "Who has tools to put back the license plate?", "You guys knew what you were doing, what is really going on?". I WAS FURIOUS AT THIS POINT!!! What in the would could he possibly be accusing me of!? *My mother is a handywoman and carries tools nor ANY occasion.* AND THIS SHOULDNT EVEN JUSTIFY WHAT IT WOULD EVEN MATTER IF WE PUT MY PLATES BACK IN! I WILL NEVERRRR EVERRR COME BACK HERE! They lie to you, harass you and accuse you for no reason. I have NEVER felt this mistreated and NEVER dealt with such HORRIBLE customer service in my life!! If I want a Mazda, I will take my business elsewhere. read more

I have bought 2 cars from Planet Mazda on Sahara. First one was back in July of 2013. Bought a brand new 2013 Mazdaspeed3. My salesman back then was Harvey Reynolds. He was an amazing, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable. I was told he no longer worked there which was unfortunate. This time around, my fiancée and I went looking for a new Mazda for her. We were already sold on getting her the CX-5, but wanted to go take a look at them. Upon arriving we meet our salesman Omar Soto. He did an awesome job. Very comfortable and easy to talk to, even had a few things in common. He showed us a couple of the Mazda CX-5. We told him we were only there to look but after checking them out, we decided to test drive one. When we got back, although we weren't looking to purchase that day, we decided to go through some paperwork. After going back and forth a little, we were introduced to the Sales Manager(Julian?), whose name I cannot remember right now. He was top notch. Great guy and helped us tremendously to come to an agreement. After shaking some hands, and my fiancée ringing the bell, we then sat and met with the finance guy(Tyler?) who was another top notch guy. Wish I could have remembered all of their names to give them the credit they deserve. I never felt pressured by any of them. All in all, overall it was a great experience with everyone I worked with that day (02/07/15). No complaints about anything. Facilities were well taken cared of and it was a very hassle-free environment. I plan on referring anyone interested in looking to buy a vehicle, especially a Mazda, to come here. I have been having my car serviced at this Mazda since I moved to Las Vegas. I've had Jag as my attendant since the beginning and he's always provided good service. Always quick to respond and return calls. Today I brought my car in and was helped by Matt (Jag was helping someone else). Matt has literally the best customer service I have experience (especially at a car dealership where they are notorious for screwing people). Now this review is simply based on these two because I can't say the same for a lady that I spoke with on the phone. I am for sure staying with Matt as my guy. He was helpful, quick, honest, and I didn't feel like I was being cheated. I'm very surprised he doesn't have a higher position because that is the way people should and want to be treated at a dealership. So, good job Mazda, you are lucky to have two great workers! My next car will definitely be a Mazda. It absolutely will not be from CardinaleWay Mazda. My lease was coming to an end and a sales person contacted me just after I had a phone call to finance through Chase Bank (bank that my lease was through). It is a busy time for me at work and my hours are odd, making it difficult for me to get to a dealership, so over the phone with Chase was the best way for me to go. The sales person told me that if I could give him 30 minutes he PROMISED he could work me a better deal. I agreed to come in. I asked what I could in advance to make the process move swiftly once I was there. I was told to do my application on line and bring in reference names and addresses. I did both of these things. However, when I sat down he proceeded to go through the handwritten application with me, then took it to finance with my references and returned with a complete B.S. offer. Yes, a lower rate than Chase but longer term loans. I declined and then compared numbers to the Chase info I brought in. He then took that info to finance and came back with an offer that was shorter terms, but a few hundred more down, (Chase obviously didn't require cash down) but a Platinum Warranty. I was in a hurry and knew I needed a warranty so I agreed. Oh, that half hour at this point was at 45 minutes. I quickly, signed the paperwork without reviewing all of the charges the dealership adds, so I missed a $48 Emissions Test Fee I was charged. My car was NOT smog checked by them. I also didn't think to ask which bank the financing was going through. While the rate was good, I hate the bank they use (it isn't Chase). Again my fault, but I feel dealerships should go through the charges and let you know who your lendor is. A bit over an hour later I was out the door. It shouldn't take that long to buy a car I've already been driving for three years and love. Dealership tactics are apparently the same regardless. It's been three weeks and a few phone messages in regards to getting a copy of EXACTLY what my warranty terms are and I've yet to receive it. I was able to speak with my sales person about the $48 fee and he totally played dumb about why that was there, until I offered to come in for the smog. I've since decided against that. I'd rather "waste" that $48 than walk back into that dealership right now. I will admit my rush was at fault for a lot of this, but the sales person knowing my hesitation to come in and crunch for time could have handled my time better. While my rate is good (I went to my current bank and they didn't feel they could beat or match it) and I love my Mazda I am left not feeling great about this purchase. The lesson. Remember what your parents and friends have probably told you: go in to the dealership educated and knowing what you want and don't be afraid to walk out. read more

OMG! I was just reading reviews and saw someone post the same thing I went through (two bald tires???). I have mixed feelings on the service I just got. They were a bit short when I brought in a dropped off the car. Not quite rude but not friendly either. I dropped it off for a safety recall and had them change the oil while I was there. I got a call telling me that the battery was about to die so they replaced it under warranty. Ok. That's cool. So far so good. Also told me I needed two new tires right away. hmmm. Back story to this is that I just had it at another dealer less than a month ago because the brakes were squeaking. I had to pay to replace two brake pads on a lease I've had for two years. Now two tires? I've been doing leases for 20 years and have never had to deal with this. THEN he tells me my cabin filter needs to be replaced. Ah HA!! Now I know they're full of it. I literally just replaced it. Not had someone do it. I bought the thing myself and replaced it. Now to be fair, I did look at the tires and the front are lower than the rear. Not emergency low though. So I'm not sure what to think. They did good on the battery but I feel like they were trying to swindle me on other things. And having to replace all this stuff on 2 year old car? Sketchy. I'm used to leases. I know what's normal. This is not. At all. And I haven't been driving any differently. Does Mazda use crappy parts? Not sure. That wouldn't be this dealer's fault. Just sketchy all the way around. Now I'm thinking of getting rid of the car early to not have to deal with it. Update. Just got home to find that they didn't put my glove box back together right after checking the cabin filter I just changed. So now 8 months pregnant, I have to bend down onto my passenger seat floor to fix what the dealer messed up. Good thing I've done it before. Awesome. read more

We took my husband's car here for an oil change...had a question about the brakes, since the light was coming on for that. With only 26,000 miles on the car, the service department called back saying all four pads needed to be replaced, as well as front rotors?!? We scheduled the appointment for the work to be done, but in the meantime, took the car to Just Brakes. They said no need to replace the rotors, and wondered why that was suggested! Also, paid much less for the brake pads than CardinaleWay was charging us. Very, very disappointed. You take your car to a dealership because you trust them not to rip you off. We will no longer come back for service, nor will we recommend to anyone else. read more
