I did the web check in prior to coming into the clinic. After about approximately 35 minutes I received the text to notify me to head to the clinic and check in with the front desk. Walked into the clinic their were 3 people ahead of me. It took me 30 minutes to get to the front desk which was handled by 1 staff. She greeted me with how can I help you I informed her that I was checking in which was me and my two kids she asked for my id as well as insurance cards she then gave me 3 individual half sheet questions to be answered. Sat down filled it down and gave it back to her in less than 2 minutes the time is now 12:32 pm. It literally took her about 1 hour just to input these answers scan the document in because I was watching her. Once she was done she then said here's a copy of your id and Insurance cards the time is now 1:23 pm got called to the back at 1:45 pm the nurses was great as well as the PA we were out of there in 25 minutes read more

What has happened to this location? I have been going here for years. I always use web check in because it's great and quick. Not anymore. I waited 1.5 hours to be seen. Patients would get called back and I'd never see them come out. Once I was finally back there, it was another 45 minutes before the doctor came in and another 30 minutes to bring me a script for cough medicine. This location WAS great! I waited then when I got to see the so called Dr he said he couldn't. In fact he said the only way he could help is if I saw him when he goes on shift 2 days later in the ER he works at. The most unprofessional service I've ever experienced at an urgent care. From the moment I arrived I was met with attitude and an unwelcoming tone by this employee at the front desk. She was already on a personal phone call by the time I got there and 40 minutes later, she was still on that same phone call letting everyone in the waiting room know about her personal business loud and clear. This isn't particularly the type of person I would want representing the company if I was in charge. No shot no service. Kept pushing Covid testing and shot. Was there for sinus infection. Was told, yea, you have an infection but not giving you anything. Didn't even check my sinuses or look at my throat. Been here many times for sinus infection because of allergies. This is a first. The next day I was examined by another health company (yes, they checked sinuses, throat & ears, heart) Got a steroid shot, antibiotics and prescription nose spray. The lady working the desk, the nurse, and the doctor just great, thank you guys. I was unexpectedly in need of a refill for a prescription that I can't go without but unfortunately need a specialist to prescribe due to state laws. As a last ditch effort to find a solution, I walked into the CareNow to ask if they could help me. The woman at the front desk was super kind and responsive (I wish I got her name). My wait time was less than 15 minutes. The medical assistant, Mahjelle, was wonderful and thorough. Dr. Neville went above and beyond to help solve my problem. She exuded empathy and kindness - I was honestly shocked at how easy my visit was, especially given the low standard of care that Vegas Valley is known for. Went here because I was having intense pain in chest and back after coughing for 3 weeks. They don't have an x-ray tech on staff so I had to wait for one to come do a chest xray. My chest xray was clear but all he offered to give me was cough medicine! I'm at the tail end of this cough so it's useless and was not the reason I made the appointment. I'll start by saying the medical staff at this location are great and I've not had any issues. The bad review is for their billing people. My wife and I felt a little sick and wanted to get covid tested to be sure because we had a newborn. Their billing people coded our visit as leg fractures. This resulted in us receiving bills because we hadn't met our insurance deductible. Our insurance found the error and told CareNow to correct the error because we shouldn't have to pay anything for the Covid tests. It's a few months later and we assumed everything was corrected but I just received a notice I was being sent to collections. They apparently corrected my wife's billing error but not mine. I'm now fighting with carenow and working with our insurance to get the billing error fixed again and hoping I don't have to fight a hit to my credit score. Avoid carenow because they will screw up your billing. read more

If you're ever looking to be treated like other garbage, I would suggest going to Carenow. I registered for an online appointment at the rainbow location 2 1/2 hours later. They called me and told me that they did not have a healthcare provider to see anyone?? so I decided to Uber to the Durango location. The woman there told me to register online and I told her that I would do that and that I would just wait as a walk-in and she told me it was 3 to 4 hours the wait. Well, I didn't have a choice because I didn't have a ride so I told her I would just wait. There was not one person in the place then she told me I could not wait in the lobby. I had to go sit out in my car and wait and she would call me when they were ready. I told her I didn't have a car and she told me I can go sit out on the sidewalk. She literally said that to me! I wouldn't treat an animal like the way these people treat their patients! How can you tell a human being to go sit on the sidewalk outside just disgusting!!! read more

I was well taken care of by the medical team here. The nurse, doctor and X-ray technician all had such excellent bedside manner and great empathy while taking care of me. I waited on hold - for nearly two hours. Went in, while still on hold to see what was going on to find a receptionist sitting at the desk, not helping anyone. I asked her why I was left on hold for so long and her response was - "I don't know, but do you want your test results or not?" Refused to explain why my call was blatantly disregarded and literally told me and my six year old son to leave. Is this a joke? I came in as a walk in for my daughters ear pain. The receptionist told me there was a 2 hours wait and I told her we were fine with it. Then she offered other carenow sites with shorter wait times around the area. I asked her about the wait time on trop/jones location and she said 45 minutes wait time. I drove there to that location the receptionist there said 3 hours wait time. Wth???? Luckily I checked in online earlier just incase and it was only 2 hours wait time. I was hoping that it was the 45 minutes wait time. I don't know if the first receptionist at durango location was blatantly lying but if not, they should have better comminication with the other sister sites. It's absolutely insulting to patients to delay proper treatments giving misinformation to them. I gave 3 stars because I can't be sure of their entire services they provide since we haven't been seen by the providers and had the full experience but this was our initial experience with them. read more

Last Sunday 1/14/2024 I decided to go to urgent care due to earaches . I paid $180 to be seen by a provider that only spent 1 minute looking at both ears . I had outer ear infection and I was prescribed a very expensive ear antibiotics which was not approved by my insurance . Between the pharmacy and the urgent care - NO ONE CARED . I was constantly on the phone with both establishments . I even went back Tuesday night at the urgent care - just to make sure the medication issue is addressed . Per the pharmacy they have sent fax and called twice and left voicemail messages. TO NO AVAIL! I went as far as calling my insurance . I gave up hoping that I would just get better . I understand testing for Covid is high, but what CareNow on Durango has.done is COMPLETELY INEXCUSABLE AND UNETHICAL. Myself and my family (4 of us) were tested 7/8/2020 after learning we had been exposed to a positive patient. I spent 1 hour and 38 minutes on hold to speak to Quest this morning only to find out that our tests were held by CareNow and were not received by Quest until the 11th - THREE DAYS AFTER WE TOOK THEM!! Absolutely disgusted by CareNow, that no one told us they would hold our tests, that we were told results take 3-4 days. If we had the flexibility to go to another testing site we would have, but with a non-verbal 2 year old, we needed as controlled environment as possible. So now, we're stuck waiting, basically held hostage by CareNow's lack of responsibility and attention to their patients coming to them expecting appropriate attention and care. read more

Got sent home today from work because i'm pregnant and almost blacked out. My OBGYN was not answering so I ended up joining their waitlist online which was simple and made things that much faster. They called within 15 minutes to let me know they can get me in sooner. I was unable to but my husband got home not even 20 minutes later so we called back and they were still able to get me in right away. The staff and doctor were so nice and caring with me. I took my wife to this facility 4/22/22 The moment I walked in I knew we were in the right place. This location is spotlessly clean and we were pleasantly greeted by Laura, who was very friendly. We were promptly taken to the exam room where the nurse quickly took vitals and within a moment Dr. Budge was in the room with care and empathy. I've never been to urgent care before, so I Googled a few places first. Decided to go here because they open early on a Sunday and it was very convenient to home. The receptionist was friendly and I didn't have to wait long before being taken back to a room. The nurse asked me a series of questions, including if I smoke. I told her no. Never smoked in my life. I can't even stomach the smell. Also told her I've had a constant cough off and on since December, but recently it gotten worse and the day before my chest was hurting from coughing. Afterwards the doctor came in and went on and on about my blood pressure being high. I get it, I should be on my meds for it, but I wasn't because I was taking cough medicine instead and my blood pressure is not always high. My primary doctor told me to monitor it daily and take my meds as needed. Told this to the doctor at urgent care and he gives me a weird look. Like I said I came because of my cough. I suspected it to be more than just a cough, no need to lecture me just because you don't like how my primary doctor is treating me for something else. Anyways, he leaves and calls in some scripts. Diagnosis is bronchitis like I suspected. It's been going around in my office at work for a while now. The nurse comes in with my discharge paperwork. After I get home I read through it. My reason for visit: "The patient presents with a chief complaint of constant cough of the chest since 1 week ago. The problem is made better by smoking". Then under social history it states: "tobacco use: denies". Now I'm no doctor or nurse, but I'm pretty sure a cough would not be made better by smoking. Especially when the patient specifically stated that they do not smoke ever. Not to mention I've had this cough since December. Maybe it's just me, but I like for my medical info to be accurate, whether or not I'm a long term or short term patient. Listing inaccurate medical information is completely unprofessional. I have been here numerous times for my children and myself. They have always been kind and quick to get us in and out. However, after Covid-19 the waits have been hours long even after checking in online and understandable so. The issue I have noticed is that no matter if you check in online they take walk-ins first. I confirmed it when I checked in online at 5:00am. At 8:40am I had not heard anything so I called to check on my status and got no answer so I went in. I noticed four people waiting and others were back in a room already. They told me they had not checked me in yet via my web check-in from 5:00 am but since I was there they would put me next in line and checked me in. When I mentioned this to the front desk she just gave me a nervous laugh and brushed it off. As I am waiting two people walked in and said the same thing. One woman said she checked in at 9:00pm the night prior and another man said he checked in at 10:00pm the night prior. They took me before those two people. They both ended up leaving to go to another clinic. Also they ask why you are there right in front of everyone which I think is a violation of privacy. From now on I will check in online and walk right in. But over all I do like the staff. If you treat them with respect they will give it in return. read more

I was seen within 30mins, screened as soon as I was in the private room, I was given water immediately for urin sample, and the PA saw me within 10mins of that. I am so impressed and honestly surprised that an urgent care functions this smoothly (just based off past experiences) and more than that I am so grateful for the kindness and care I received within a 45min walk in appointment. Checked in online because I was expecting to have to wait awhile. (This feature alone makes me chose CareNow). They called immediately and said they can see me right away. After I showed up I was in the back within 10 minutes. This was today (a Saturday) at about 5:30pm. The two women at the front were more than friendly & I feel that they do their job above my expectations . The doctor (David Budge) was prompt and did not leave me waiting. He was also friendly and professional. Gave me additional advice a doctor at an urgent care usually wouldn't. He even pointed out that my pharmacy I use would probably be closed before I could drive there and refereed me to a 24 hour one. Upon leaving, they give me a whole print out of my diagnosis, vitals, and other information about my visit. Another thing places I have been to don't. This location can be very busy at times, but I suppose I had good luck. The online check in is a life saver tho, so no need to wait in a lobby when you're not feeling well! I went with my father to the Arby & Durango location in Las Vegas because my father had recently returned from Greece with an illness (Log# 2839553). My father had dental surgery done prior to his trip to Greece and his dentist had prescribed him an antibiotic in case the area started getting infected while he was overseas for two weeks. He started experiencing symptoms of an infection the last day of his trip, so he had started the antibiotics that were given to him. He had taken them for a total of 2 days at the time of our visit to the clinic. We had a horrible experience at the clinic. We ended up finding out that my dad has Strep. We saw the NP (Ment Wong) and the interaction started off okay, but then just crashed and burned. She was rude and condescending. She proceeded to lecture ME about how the dentist (ANOTHER HIGHER EDUCATED MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL) shouldn't have prescribed him the antibiotic without cause (there was one though). If she had the guts, I would've gladly given her the dentist's contact info and she can go tell him how to do his job to his face. She also started lecturing me about how my father shouldn't have started the antibiotic without knowing what he was infected with. Well ma'am, my father isn't medically trained. I'm sure it doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that he took the antibiotic because he was advised to take it for an infection, and he was feeling horrible. Lecturing is also probably too light of a word. Like I said, she was condescending and rude. Maybe she thought that she could talk to us that way because my dad and I are also Asian, but that would be a very racially profiled reason, right?! I have never stepped foot in Asia by the way. When explaining the problem with overuse of antibiotics, I understand that there is some urgency, but her tone and the fact that she's lecturing ME (because I was there as a translator for my dad) about what the DENTIST did and what my FATHER did on his own accord was completely unacceptable. I will never recommend anyone to go to CareNow after this experience, including all of the elderly friends of my parents. There are plenty of other choices for urgent care in Las Vegas. I can't stress how incredibly disappointing this experience was. During my lecture from the Ment Wong, I paused her and asked her to answer a simple question, which was if he should stop the antibiotic he mistakenly started. She ignored that question and proceeded to site research studies and generalized opinions of modern day medical professionals in regards to antibiotics. Ultimately she didn't even have and answer for my question (which is fine). She basically advised us to ask the dentist what my father should do. What's NOT fine is the fact that she proceeded to lecture when she knew she didn't have an answer for us. This went on for so long that in order for me to signal to her to stop without a verbal escalation, I had to pull out my phone and basically start ignoring her. I am so livid. Oh I am going to tell everyone I can about this. We literally paid to get lectured at, and not even in an educational way with good bedside manner. It was so, so, so unprofessional.
