Delicious burgers. Never disappoints. I always stop by when I'm in the area. The French burger is my favorite. Will recommend.

Where do I start?! Drive thru is very retarded. Gotta get out your car to walk up to the window and give them the money. 2nd off burger wasn't all that good as most people on here said, Patty was very very thin and burger was mostly filled with lettuce and tomatoes. 3rd soda wasn't that good, tasted like carbonated dish water. Now oildale has changed completely but I just think sometimes why won't the business upgrade. Looks very dirty on the outside and inside. Wasn't my cup if tea, I wouldn't go back there. I love this place! The burgers kinda remind me of In N Out with thin patties, toasted buns, and fresh ingredients. I've never been disappointed with anything I've tried. I've had just about everything on the menu but my FAVORITE has to be the Western Bacon Cheeseburger. That perfectly toasted and buttered bun, 1/4 pound patty, a giant crispy onion ring, cheese, and BBQ sauce. This burger is heaven. The milkshakes go hand in hand with the burgers! They're old fashioned and made to order. I encourage everyone to try a peanut butter Oreo milkshake.. you'll thank me later :) They also make amazing fries here. Fresh, hot, perfectly seasoned, crinkle cut fries in a brown paper bag. I love my fries on the crispy side... all you have to do is ask them to make them a little crispy and they'll cook them a bit longer to your standard of perfection. Lastly, one of my favorite things here is the crushed ice. Sooo good and so hard to find elsewhere! You can also customize your drink with a pump of cherry or vanilla syrup. The double cheeseburger at Carla's is special. It's got a flavor that can't be duplicated...and I guess that's all I can say about it. Pam is a real sweetheart, and always seems to know it's me whenever I place my order. Hole in the all burger joint, but good food, made with love. The locals know it, and Carla's is a good place to bump into old high school friends & the like. They also deliver, which is convenient. I will come back to Carla's any chance I get! My husband and I have been coming here for a long time now, and have turned on a number of our friends to this little hole-in-a-wall, too. Carla's might not be big in looks, but they are an awesome little burger joint. I dont think I have ever come here and been disappointed, their burgers and fries rock. My husband is a fan of the vanilla shakes. It might not be earth shattering, but I prefer this place over any other drive thu burger place out there. We had the Philly cheese steak and fries. The roll was perfectly toasted, with just enough mayo. Steak was good quality and nicely seasoned- just the right size to bite into and not stringy. Loaded with onions, mushrooms and bell peppers then melted swiss cheese on top made for a delicious flavour combo! Crinkle cut fries were great too, nice and thick with tasty seasoning. Their fries and ranch... best combination. When you order a large fry, you certainly get a large fry. Its amazing. We called in for a pickup order. We had some trouble getting through at first, but we finally got the order put in! They do accept card for pick ups, but delivery is cash only. This it seriously a no frills place; hole in the wall type of place. I'm pretty sure if my boyfriend hadn't suggested it, I would have never discovered the awesome fries. They have expanded their menu as well. They now include Mexican staples and egg rolls. read more

We're Carla's regulars. I love their fries and iced tea with crushed ice. The French burger is always a solid choice, and the chicken strips are some of the best in town (especially with their delicious ranch dressing). The "extras" like taquitos, tacos, fried burritos, and egg rolls are fabulous. We take full advantage of the delivery option. It's great for when I'm in the middle of a home improvement project and can't get away, or when I'm craving fries and don't want to load up all of my kids to go get some. read more

The double cheeseburger here is delicious, and it's reasonably priced for the combo. $7 I think is what it costs. The burgers are in the smaller side that's why I only gave it 4 stars, the key to getting your food quick is to call it in before you go. It takes about 10 minutes for them to get it ready or you can have it delivered if your close by. read more

Got an order for delivery yesterday the delivery driver was nice but seamed to want nothing to do with talking to me. The food I got was subpar the fries I ordered were burnt. I ordered a soda it didn't come with the order I asked if they forgot she said no this is what you order. Um OK. I didn't get a receipt so I was probably charged for it. I paid 19.00 for a small cheese burger and order of burnt fries order of onion rings and 2 orders of taquitos. I won't be going back here read more

I live right around the corner from this place. It is one of the best "hole in the wall" restaurants here in oildale. The food is always hot and fresh. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait and the homeless/wacked out people of oildale are there but they do their best to keep it clean and family friendly. read more

Carla's Drive-In is something special. My husband and I stopped in our travels further south after finding the reviews on here intriguing. The fries are as my husband called them, carnival fries that you crave. The sandwiches we had; western burger and the French burger were both really good. We love going to Mom and Pop diners. This place had a TON of that irreplaceable Mom and Pop charm and service. I'd go there again any day. read more
