The breakfast "Carlisle Feast" is fantastic and recommend if you are hungry and are ready to leave stuff. Once you arrive the host seats you with a smile and ask if you want water, after the server comes over to take your order and ask what would you want to drink. All this with a smile and professional demeanor. It looks like a comfy diner with enough seating to accommodate your needs. I recommend you stop-in for breakfast you will not be disappointed.

Frequented this diner many times over the years in it's various incarnations - hadn't been by for a number of years, but found myself in town while waiting for an EARLY appointment - remembered the diner. Was seated quickly - typical no-nonsense 'let's get down to business' service. Food came quickly...ordered breakfast (ham & eggs). Food was decent as was the portion size. Ambience was '20th Century Diner' - which is fine for me. If you want food and no frills, this is your place....if you want an exquisite culinary experience...it isn't. I'm sure I'll check it out again...

Was in town for business. I wanted some breakfast comfort food. Like any good diner, sit, order, eat, pay, leave. Food was ok, just basic. No homerun for sure. Good prices. Went there 2 different times.

This is a typical diner with a large menu covering everything from breakfast to dinner and in between. They have a parking lot but it's an easy walk from Dickinson College. They have Pepsi products. I had a BLT while sitting at the counter. Everyone was friendly and it was clean. I'd go back again.

Quick service for sure. The chipped beef was thick and had a fair amount of dried beef, not overly salty. The potatoes are well cooked but lacking any seasoning. One dish requested cheese n onion with potatoes so it was graced with some American on top. Sadly they don't make their own corned beef hash.

This is my favourite diner in central pa. Great service, good coffee, and they have grits! Can't beat the prices.

An okay place to eat. Specials are a few menu items that are discounted a few cents. Service can be good at times.

Absolute poor customer service. Will not be going there again. I will definitely be taking all future business to the Walnut Bottom Diner.

Total came out to approximately $99 (not including tip). What's hot - Quality. Fairly good. My hummus wrap was yummy and had a good amount of veggies wrapped with the hummus. Their fries are the best part and well-seasoned. Depending on the person, it could be considered overly-salty. Their beer cheese is pretty flavorful, as well. Their burgers are tender, juicy, and a good flavor. - Menu. Decent and short. - Location. Fairly easy to find downtown and there are other businesses and restaurants close by. Street parking is available, which is metered during the weekdays. - Price. With the exception of the sides, which I explain below, it's fairly good value for money, given the quality and decent size portions. What's not - Quality. Their soft pretzel sticks were not as soft as I expected. They were actually harder than I hoped. - Dishes come with potato chips. Their sandwiches come with potato chips. Fries, coleslaw, or salad cost extra. My hummus pita wrap and my friend's fish sandwich automatically come with potato chips, so ordering the fries cost extra. Not cool. This is a matter of personal preference. This is a pub, not a deli, so potato chips should not be an automatic side. - Not many vegetarian or vegan options. There is hummus, a salad option, and a fish option. Very limited, which is a detractor. - Service. One of our family members ordered their burger with no pickles and no mustard, but the wait staff made an error when they entered our order. I understand mistakes happen, but simple things like this take additional time to fix. The wait staff had to put in the correct order and we had to wait longer. Additionally, we had difficulty flagging down staff when we needed things. Their staff are nice, but they don't appear well-staffed. It was not full the Sunday afternoon we were there, so I'm uncertain what a busy time actually looks like. - Layout. For parties larger than 4, it appears they need to put tables together, so be prepared. Final answer Would be willing to return, but not a first choice.

We ordered pick up through Grub Hub, so the total came out to approximately $43. What's hot - Menu. Pretty standard options of burgers and sandwiches. They have a few veggie options, as well, but no vegan options. - Quality. Pretty delicious. My regular bacon cheeseburger was a very good portion- juicy, tender, and flavorful. Their fries are nicely seasoned and substantial. - Portions. Each of our burgers was a good size. Their large fries are a good size, as well, with the exception of what I explain below. There are a fair amount of boxes of peanuts for customers to take some for free. - Cost. For the portions and quality, good value for money. - Location. It's at the end of a plaza. There are a decent number of tables and chairs, as well. Doesn't appear to be able to accommodate any groups larger than 6. What's not - Fries. The quality of their fries is delicious. However, we noticed their fries are no longer served in large cups with extra scoops in your bag. Five Guys' generous portions of fries has always been a major selling point for myself and my husband. That this location is limiting their portions is a detractor. Final answer Would be willing to return to this location.

We ordered burgers, salads, and kids' meals. What's Hot - Menu. Good variety and something for everyone, even possibly vegans. I know they have a veggie burger on the menu, but am uncertain whether they have vegan cheese or condiments. - Quality. Delicious. My avo-cobb salad was delicious. It came with grilled chicken, eggs, Bleu cheese, bacon, avocado, and tomato. All our fries were warm upon arrival. Freshly steamed broccoli and not canned or pre-frozen. The clementines are canned, though. - Service. For the most part, pretty reliable. The staffer for our table was good about tracking our orders and refills. Once other staffers got involved, things got a little messed up. - Price. My Avo-Cobb salad was approximately $17 and the side of fries, including bottomless refills coated approximately $1. For my nieces and nephews, they got several refills of their kids meals of broccoli, mac n cheese, tangerine slices, and corn dogs. For the quality and portions of refills, definitely good value for money. - Layout. Pretty accommodating. We were able to get a booster seat for the baby and they pushed a couple tables together to accommodate our party of 8. They appear to be able to accommodate larger parties, as well. - Location. Conveniently located in a plaza with several other businesses, including Target, Aldi, Sephora, and an ice cream joint. As such, plenty of parking. What's Not - Service. To be fair, this is going to be dependent on the day and time you're there, due to staffing. There were times we had to wait longer for refills for simple things, like the fries, which their staff should expect to continuously refill. There were also times when staff forgot certain refills. - Portions. My husband and I ordered several refills of our fries. My issue, which is personal to me, is that I didn't think the portions of the refills were as good as they should've been. To be fair, my guess is their kitchen staff avoid making the portions too big to avoid waste. I was simply annoyed in requesting as many refills as I did. Final answer Would be willing to return to this location again.
