    Cronut
    Maggie W.

I was brought here by a local to grab a variety of pastries after getting coffee nearby. I love the old time feel of walking into the bakery and everything being right there in front of your face. We ended up getting a handful of items all which were delicious and the service was, friendly and helpful. Had to get a chocolate cronut, of course.

Asked for the turkey because I can't eat pork and they put ham on there really sucks that I had to throw the whole thing in the garbage.

Carlocks has boba teas! And they're pretty good. I'm also a huge fan of their savory pastries, quiche, and fresh baguettes. Their iced coffee is also legit for when the line at Starbucks is outta control. Around the holidays I preorder their very pretty cookie tray and giant danish. All in all this is a lovely neighborhood bakery!

The counter service was fast. I enjoyed slice of German chocolate cake, which was delicious especially the chocolate icing. The inside reminded me of vintage bakery yet they had a creative display of baked goods and themed cookies.

I forgot that I was here a couple weeks ago, fried pies, I think the best was the cronuts, they were freaking great! I only get to come to Los Osos every once in awhile, but now I know that when I come here I will definitely get some cronuts.

They are so sweet! We visited Morro Bay for the first time and I was so pleased with the food, we went back 3 more times!!! Everything is super fresh and the flavors were great! Coffee was delicious!! I highly recommend and I will tell you, now we have a regular place to go when we visit because WE WILL BE BACK!! We had the breakfast croissant sandwiches, the lattes, the fresh homemade soups (wow) with the fresh baguette!! So delicious! I literally took a dozen little red velvet cake pops and little cakes home with me... just delicious!! It gets packed in there but the service is great and well worth it!

We were lucky enough to snag the last almond croissant, and what a treat it was. The exterior had a sweet, delicate crunch, and with each bite, rich almond filling oozed out for the perfect balance of texture and flavor. It wasn't overloaded with powdered sugar, and the sweetness was just right--indulgent without being overwhelming. I also tried a slice of the salmon and leek quiche. It was light and fluffy while still feeling substantial and satisfying. The combination of savory salmon and sweet leek worked beautifully together. Whether you're starting your morning or looking for a midday pick-me-up, the quiche is a must-try. I was excited to try the house made mango-infused black iced tea, but unfortunately, there was nothing mango flavored about it That said, this bakery is still well worth a visit. Between the pastries and quiche, it is an easy stop to recommend when you're in Morro Bay.

Theres also a really good restaurant there, Frankies n' Lolas. See my review. Anyways I'm waiting to pick up a ride, she bumped me to a later pick up time, twice...err. So I went into the Smoothies place to check it out, oh and write a review as I wait. Cozy as it gets with the friendly staff, actually looked like they enjoy the job and human interactions. I asked for a Mango something smoothie but no pineapple, be creative. The place has a good variety of drinks and edibles, sandwiches, salads, avocado toast, and on and on. If you don't see it they would probably make it for you. Now granted I was the only order being made at this moment and my smoothie was delivered to me as I sat at the bistro table out front. I was surprised how flavorful the smoothie was, I don't know why I thought that but it did taste good, a bit pricy. I'm good with pricy and this was backed up with quality ingredients and stellar service. Ah...yes and supporting local business is good for everyone Thanks, I'll see you again! Foodguy-Martin

I think it's offset by knowing that the produce & meats are very high quality. We were staying nearby and needed to pick up a few items for our stay and decided to check out Spencer's. I'm glad we did. It's such a lovely community market. And they had a small farmer's market going on just outside that added a whole different shopping experience where we were able to pick up some things that we knew were grown locally. The selection isn't as massive as a chain market, but they will have just about everything you would ever need. From cereal to alcohol they have it all. The customers here were all so lovely. Several times we walked by a few just chatting away. You can tell that this is a local gathering place for the locals and that only adds to the charm. The employees are nice. Once again, they feel like they're all locals. It was a short trip for us to pick up essentials. But it only took that short trip to fall in love with this place. We are in the area maybe once a week and we will absolutely be coming here every time we stay from here on out.

I was going to go around them, but then they all went into the store. Only one put his mask on, the other two just waltzed right in. Turned out these were the owner and his buddies, or at the very least someone who worked there. I waited a bit for the air to clear and then went into the store to start to gather my items. I should have just walked away then!! I got through one row and was starting on the second row when I saw one of them go get a soda - with no mask!! He saw me and quickly put on his mask, sort of like an afterthought. I immediately returned the items I had chosen and walked quickly out the door. I will NOT return here, they don't respect the safety of their customers or their workers!! And this during the worst time in the pandemic, where cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are increasing at an alarming rate. They should be ashamed of themselves. Throughout this pandemic I have shopped here several times a week, buying a lot of overpriced goodies. I have probably spent $30-$50 a week here since April.
