Service and food quality and care in presentation were top notch and generous. I believe it is Mennonite-run. They truly walk with God. The whole staff and owner/manager were so "on it" and serving all kinds of people quickly and personably. They have a great variety of pastries and drinks. One of my last visits, we took my parents for my mom's bday and we shared a couple of cake slices together. She was overjoyed and brought to tears to be able to enjoy something simple as eating cake in a bright cafe- given her humble beginnings. Second room is the cafe that makes the best turkey soup and sandwiches. The prices for the portion sizes were VERY reasonable. Soup and full sandwich for under $20.00! I made 3 meals out of it and boy were both delicious! I did not try the sweets or pastries and I feel I won't be able to stop. Their breads are all made in house and you can really tell how fresh and good they are. Hands down my go to any time I come to Mammoth Lakes. The staff is very warm, friendly and professional. The bakery is located in a shopping plaza at Shaw and it looks like one of those high-end places in Fresno. So we found a bakery, which was at that time for people dining inside and outside because they do have brunch menu. luckily we're able to find that there's a separate line for the bakery items and the line, although ling, was quick when it was our turn. We had difficulty choosing which cakes to get but we were able to ask around what are the recommendations we were able to get their top selling cake which is a vanilla cake that has fruit compote in the middle and fruits as decoration. I think it was around $47 for this particular cake. When we got home, it kept well when we had our birthday celebration. We didn't have to put it back in the fridge. By the time we got to eating the cake. It was perfectly thawed and surprisingly delicious. It was moist and full of the fruit compote - they did not skimp on the fruit. It was lovely and highly recommended. When I come back to Fresno, I'd probably try their brunch items. Four stars for their cake.
