I have no idea how this place keeps getting worse, but I'm officially done. Seriously folks, even if the constant wrong orders don't bother you and even if the undercooked / stale / old food doesn't bother you and even if the 30min drive-thru wait doesn't bother you and even if them being out of almost everything on a regular basis doesn't bother you and even if them closing early at night doesn't bother you.... The fact this place is a HEALTH HAZARD should bother you! And no, I'm not talking about fast food in general. This place is disgusting and the employees working there have zero concept of health and sanitization standards, not to mention the outright obvious theft that is occurring by the employees when you pay in cash at night. Seriously they don't even try to hide it anymore. Carl's Jr. really needs to do something about this location. I usually love Carl's Jr. but good grief, this place is a train wreck. Full disclosure... I have only been to this location after 7pm so maybe the daytime staff is better, but the night crew is a disaster. Unfortunately there aren't many options in Alpine but McDonalds is a bit better as far as service and cleanliness. This Carl's Jr. is just awful. Just really awful. read more

Don't get caught in this drive-thru black hole at night. It feels like one of those places that has only one poor person working after 8pm. This Carls Jr needs to up its game to be on par with the average Carls. The burgers are always smashed and soggy. Wilted lettuce and tomatoes and smashed buns are pretty normal here. Too bad, as most Carls Jr's serve a pretty decent burger. I suppose the lack of competition keeps this place in business. read more

This is the worst Carl's Jr I have ever been to and I've been here several times, being that there are very few places to select from to drive through in Alpine, especially at night! Every time I have come here there is always something missing from my order, not cooked properly, or they are out of everything I want to order! Tonight they were out of cheese for the tacos and then out of Dr. Pepper, and no taco sauce. The fries were cold and old tasting. I will not be coming back to this place, thank god they put a Mcdonalds in Alpine! I'm very disappointed because I usually enjoy Carl's Jr. Last time I came here I ordered a Turkey burger, the turkey Patty was cold and definitely inedible! The owner or manager might want to step it up and do their job because after seeing all of the other reviews I know I am not the only one that is not satisfied with this place. I'm surprised it's still open. Let me know when it closes, I would love to open a resturant here that actually cares about their product and customers. read more

THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST CARL'S JR IN THE COUNTY !!. I try to support the local businesses, but I have patronized them for the last time. The orders are wrong 50% of the time and is sloppily prepared. There were four employees. When we walked in it took 31/2 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge our presence. When we were finally noticed, a female employee said to another employee, "you have customers". This place violates all given rules of customer service, and quality of products. McDonalds is now another option in Alpine. My suggestion for the ownership, shut down for a few days, provide training to "ALL" employees and terminate those that project a negative first impression read more

Would give this 00 stars if possible. Service is crap takes, FOREVER!!, and is as dirty as it gets. Their bacon on the western bacon is really hard and dosen't have much flavor. I know 3 people who've gotten sick here. An "In 'N Out" would kill this place. read more

I have been eating here for many years and ate here growing up in Alpine. I have always loved the food here. I went in there yesterday and was disgusted with what I saw. The manager is clearly incompetent. He was sitting in a booth with another employee- a young woman. He was shouting across the restaurant at the other employees asking them about how many hours they've worked and if they were on the clock or not. There were several other customers there at the time and I think it was nobody's business how long other employees have worked. He should have gotten up to talk with them instead of shouting. He was too busy rubbing his hands on the other female employee. Yelling like that is extremely unprofessional. Then this manager was rubbing this woman employee's legs and flirting with her very loudly. To top it all off the young woman employee's brother or friend came in with a pet rat and proceeded to put it on the table and leave it with the girl and the manager. The girl then walked around the restaurant with it on her shoulder and then left to go home. The manager didn't even care and was actually laughing about it. I'm pretty sure bringing a rat into the restaurant violates some health department codes. I could tell some of the other customers were uncomfortable and annoyed. The young manager was extremely immature and unprofessional. I will not be returning to this restaurant. read more

Really bad service. I filed a complaint thru Corporate 3 weeks ago. Received a standard answer indicating that my concerns were forwarded and the restaurant would contact me. Still waiting. My original complaint was after waiting a long time for my food it was wrong, then waited another long time. When I went up to inquire, I found that my food was sitting up there. I was told it was because they could not find me. First of all, I never left my seat, so they didn't miss me when I went to the restroom of something. Second, I was the only person there with a walker and therefore, I should have not been confused with anyone else. Third, even if they forgot who I was, there was no attempt by any employee to find out who the meal belong to. By the time I got the 2nd burger, it wasn't even hot anymore. While waiting so long, I noticed a gentleman behind the counter with his shirt unbutton. He looked totally unprofessional. Then, he came out to the dining area with the shirt just hanging off his shirt. He looked like a gang member. Also, I noticed 2 employees standing around looking kind of clueless. These employees could have been sent to find the owner of the burger or sent out to clean the windows, which were extremely filthy. They looked like they have not been cleaned in at least a week. Normally, I probably wouldn't have noticed these things, but when you wait about 45 minutes, you tend to notice more. I originally tried to complain to the manager on duty...total waste of time. She made no offer to make a new burger (#3), because it was no longer hot nor to refund my money. I am not surprised that this restaurant has not made contact me, because you would need a place that knows how to provide good customer service and this one obviously does not. Carl's Jr. needs to spend less money on trashy commercials and put it back into raising the standards at the local level. There was a time when good service and good food brought me back to Carl's on a weekly basis. Lately, I've gone once or twice a year and that was too much. Now forget it. read more
