I am always amazed of how terribly slow this place is at drive through. But since fast food options are limited, there aren't very many options. If you go through the drive though, doesn't matter what time, expect to wait at least 15 minutes. 10 if your literally the only person in line. I am amazed at how consistently slow this place is. Please refresh your staff or send in someone new to run it. I will be reaching out to Carl's Jr. customer service as well. Food is decent. read more

I've unfortunately tried this place a few times. So far they've consistently been the slowest fast food chain I've ever visited, on two occasions I've been overcharged...the kid at the counter tried to charge me $12 for an $8 meal...(claimed tax was the reason for the difference ) and the second time he tried to charge me $11 for the same meal! To their credit, they haven't handed me anything that wasn't hot when it was supposed to be. read more

I have been living in Alpine for about six years now and I have been a frequent patron of this Carl's Jr. While I have had bad experience it is nothing unlike any other random fast food joint I have been too before. Sometimes my order is wrong, sometimes at the drive thru I order Sprite and once I take a sip half way home it is soda water no Sprite syrup. As for the wait...nothing I felt appalled over. Sometimes it is busier than others, I am sure they could use more staff but myself coming from a kitchen I know you could always use more staff...is it in the budget that is another topic. Overall no major complaints...the errors that happen are the same I have experience at any other fast food chain. read more

Since I can't get the corporate office to return an email complaint, I am now forced to do the millennial thing and post a scathing review! Maybe its a sign when you enter the restaurant location for feedback and it now clears the page making it impossible to send another complaint... Hmmmmm! Let's start by saying this was Quite possibly the worst customer service experience in the history of fast food. For several years this place has been going downhill and downhill fast but with limited options in the area, you sometimes have no choice. Waited 8 minutes to order in drive thru (car in front of me was also waiting to place order) before backing up and attempting to go inside. Ironically was met by the manager? (Hispanic or Indian female) grabbed the door out of my hand to pull it closed while saying, the inside is now closed! Middle of the day, lunch time and now the inside of the restaurant is closed? All while ripping the door out of my hand? It's a good thing my husband wasn't with me and saw this. Let's just say that! I left the restaurant and absolutely vow to NEVER return. Absolutely embarrassing something like this can happen for absolutely no reason. Maybe they were understaffed, maybe they were get blasted by every person because the service sucked but maybe we should try to GET BETTER rather than GET BITTER! It's been several months since this happened but have now been forced to post a review since nobody from the corporate office will return my email complaints nor my phone calls. Judging by the hired help in this establishment, I'm sure the complaint box is pretty lengthy. Will never eat at this place again! read more

As soon as I saw that this location had 2 stars, I WAS NOT SHOCKED AT ALL!!!' My husband was charged $10 for the guacamole burger, yet it looks like they slapped on less than an ounce on it!! It is advertised as literally running off the burger and puts has barely a speck! The fries are cold (ridiculous) and our jumbo hotdog didn't come with ketchup or mustard! Are you kidding me? I attempted to call the store 3 times and no one answered! The third time, all I got was a ringing noise! This location really needs to get it together because all the other locations we've been to have never pulled this crap! read more

Closed 10 minutes before closing time. Only place within 7 miles. I guess the kids that work there decide business hours.

Sat at the window watching the girl count cash for 10 minutes after ordering my food, while she and the other guy inside (not in a uniform, seemed like he was just hanging out?) looked at me every so often. Eventually got my drink and then waited another 15 minutes for my chicken strips. No one in line in front of me, not sure why it took 25 minutes to get chicken strips. walked up to counter for service, the place was not busy. employees were standing around talking to each other. waited to see if employees noticed my group, waited four minutes. real rude, i guess carl's jr has enough money to pay lazy workers! could of gotten better service at a soup kitchen!!!!! poor management- apply for a free ride. read more

By far the worst experience at any Carl's Jr I have been to. There was a truck and myself in the drive thru, minimal people in the actual dining room (I didnt see anyone at a register), and they still mess up. I would recommend a complete overhaul of the staff, or just demolish the building. I ordered what I wanted to order and pulled up to the window to pay, up until this point everything was fine. The person helping me is obviously in training, however her customer service was easily the best. There was an associate that came over to help her after she had to ask 3 times since she didn't know how to split a payment between cash and credit. He doesnt look at the situation but just helps her do it, which resulted in them charging me for the truck behind me which was $3 cheaper than my ticket. For the first time in my dining experience, even with more than 8 years working IN food service I was asked for my card back so they can ring up the extra $3 instead of writing it off as a training error. I dont care about $3 but when you mess up, dont ask for a card back, that's tacky and unprofessional. There was another associate walking around, presumably a cook, wearing a personal sweater. Gross, who knows where she has been or what that sweater has been in contact with, keep it out of the kitchen. She hands me my food and doesnt acknowledge me rather just the two coworkers originally helping me. If all this happened and my food was fine I probably would have just ignored it and left a good review, probably 4 stars. However the food was not good either. When I pull up to home, which is 2 blocks away on Arnold, everything is bad. I got two meals and a couple extra sandwiches, all shoved into one bag smashing everything. The fries are cold, the burgers just about (the cheese was half melted), my orange fanta tastes old or like sunkist, my mocha shake is liquid, and one of my spicy chicken sandwiches has a short black hair in it. I do not recommend coming here. Honestly starving, or eating ANYTHING else is going to be a better option than the craptastic service and food getting shoveled out of here for top dollar. The food's okay, and the Jalapeno poppers are the best. But it's not the food that bothers me. It's the customer service. If you're unlucky enough to get Monica at the Alpine location serving you, then you'll drive off sad, or angry, or both. I've never seen this sad woman smile. She begrudgingly takes your order. She takes your credit card, and hands it back. She doesn't give you a receipt unless you ask for it, then she acts like your troubling her to provide the receipt. There's no thank you's, and never ever a smile. She appears to dislike any exchange with the customer, and she'd clearly rather spit in your face! This has happened many times, every time I drive through. Sadly she's always there. There with her sad hateful face ruining people's moods. This last time I suggested to her that a smile would go a long way. She barely looked at me, and continued with the next order with her vacant face and did not respond to me. I was trapped in Alpine for a half-day and grabbed lunch at this Carl's Jr, which is just off the freeway on Tavern Road. Went inside to get some air conditioning (and avoid the long drive thru line) and ordered a Teriyaki Chicken sandwich to go. Got to my destination and ate a very messy sandwich. Yum. everything slathered in sauce. Later that day, I returned to get a shake with a co-worker for our ride back to San Diego. Not a lot of options for fast food in Alpine, and this one is right off the freeway. When next I am stuck in Alpine or passing through, I might hit it up again. read more

i'm usually not one to leave a review on places as i have worked in the restaurant industry and know that everyone has their days, however this is the only restaurant i encounter doing doordash and uber eats that is so incredibly dismissive of guests in the restaurant. same younger kid with long hair is perpetually rude, rolls his eyes anytime someone walks in, hands you 4 drinks with no drink carrier and again rolls eyes when you ask for one, pays zero attention to orders (handed me a bag of fries and completely missed the giant bag of burgers because "he didn't know". it's incredibly frustrating trying to do your job and having people dismiss you in that way, tonight i stood up front for 10 mins, no one else in line, while he packed an order and i didn't get a single "hi welcome in" "i'll be with you shortly"... nothing at all, only greeted with two sets of eyes rolling from this kid and his friend. customer service seriously needs to be a priority for this location. read more

I don't normally write bad reviews of places. Unfortunately, my latest (last?) visit leaves me no choice. The place was dirty to begin with and the parking lot is poorly lit. There were plenty of people working but nobody was taking the time to wipe down tables or clean the soda station. The young man that helped us at the register was ... no help. He didn't respond to anything I said. Not even a hello or an "F you buddy". Apparently, taking orders (or my child and I ) really irked him. Could be that he was so baked that he was having a hard time answering anyone. This part bothers me the most because the manager was right behind him and didn't give any training or pointers (perhaps he's new?). Lastly, as I picked up my to-go order, he didn't ask anything about it. He just stared right at us with contempt or through a drug induced fog. I couldn't tell which. No. Napkins. We ordered a kids burger and they didn't put any napkins in the bag. Thanks Carl's. In Mr. J's defence, he did get the order right. Thanks or that. I won't be coming back anytime soon. read more

Don't bother. I went there today 10/15/19 to buy two Santa Fe chicken sandwiches to go. I watched an old man make one then head to the back of the restaurant. After about two minutes he returned, digging at his crotch with his hand. He then put a glove on the non-digging hand and made the second sandwich. When I got home I went to give the sandwiches to my dog and not only was the experience nauseating but he left off the chiles. I went there today and had the worst service of my life. after 35 minutes of waiting around my food was still not out. The girl at the front was very nice. But the manager needs to be fired!!! She refused to come out and talk to me. She refused to make my one hamburger. She only was doing drive-thru food while the inside was filled with very mad people. Three times I nicely asked to speaker with her and three times she refuse. I finally had to leave because I could not wait any longer for my food. They stole my money and I didnt get all my food.
