No other customer and yet customer service was abysmal. We ordered four items - two burgers, an order of wings, and a salad. Just as we were getting rung up, I realize that we didn't have any drinks. I asked to add onion rings and a drink to make one of our burgers a combo. I was rudely told, "it's too late, the order is closed. We can't add anything." as we were still ringing the order up and it had not yet been completed, I found that odd considering that this is a place of business and from personal experiences, businesses typically like to make money by selling the goods that they offer. We were dumbfounded and just stared. Then, another employee conferred with our cashier and lo and behold - it was possible. When our order arrived, I noticed that it was missing a lot if the items from the menu. The $14 green salad only had tomatoes, onions, greens, and croutons and it is listed as having cucumbers, peppers, olives, etc that were not there. When my husband asked if we could get the olives, peppers, cucumbers that are listed in the menu, the not-so-friendly cashier insisted that the salad never was supposed to have those items. When my husband pointed out that the giant menu had those items on the salad listed, the cashier said, "Oh. Well, that sign is old. We wrote that two years ago." Initial gaslighting aside, perhaps someone needs to tell the cashier that regardless of how long ago the menu was written, the menu is still the menu. My husband just walked away saying nothing. For a place that charges extra for everything, it's surely strange that they think they don't have also have to uphold their end of the restaurant agreement by providing people what they ordered. Overall, there are so many great places to eat on Bainbridge. Having to deal with these guys? Yeah. Never again.

Despite our large group, they accommodated everyone comfortably and provided outstanding service from start to finish. The diner completely embraces the classic 1950s era. From the décor and booths to the music and nostalgic atmosphere, it truly feels like you've stepped back in time. The restaurant was also exceptionally clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly, attentive, and impressively efficient. They handled our large group's orders with ease, kept drinks refilled, and delivered everyone's meals quickly. Our table ordered a variety of dishes including bacon and eggs, sausage and eggs, Oregon French toast, chicken and waffles, and a Reuben sandwich. Every meal looked fantastic, the portions were generous, and everything was cooked perfectly. The standout for us was the French Toast, which was easily some of the best French toast we've ever had at any diner. The chicken and waffles were excellent, and the Reuben was packed with flavor. The cheeseburger was juicy and delicious (although I personally would have skipped the grilled onions). One unique surprise was the recommended potato chip fries that came with the burger. They were thick cut, freshly made, and unlike any chips I've had before, dense chip shaped fries without being overly hard. Prices were very reasonable, with most meals around $20 or less, making it an excellent value for the quality and generous portions.
