No task is ever beneath them--they lead by example. Their pride in keeping the restaurant clean and welcoming really stands out. The employees reflect that same positive attitude. They are consistently polite, courteous, hardworking, and always greet customers with a smile. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! For starters the intercom was broken and I could hardly hear the person taking my order, but my Santa Fe chicken sandwich meal was $16.99! The sandwich used to be served on a soft bun and it appears they ran out so my sandwich was served on white bread! The chicken apparently had been frozen so it was completely tough! As we were exiting a gentleman ran out the door to give us our burger because they missed it in our order. My sister ordered the 3 piece chicken tenders and I tasted a few fries. I'm a fry monster, so they were pretty good...after taste is a little salty, but bearable. Tasted a small bite of the chicken tenders and they're alright for fast food, the taste reminds me of KFC Chicken. Employees were well mannered and food service was quick. Although not a scientific survey, I hoped to eat representative samples of California burgers while visiting the Golden State to have a sense of where the real sliders stood compared to those in my part of the right coast (Eastern PA and central NJ). I started with In 'N Out in Long Beach, which just was ordinary, despite the clear improvement in service with servers passing through the seated customers asking about our satisfaction and getting things we needed (like a missing order of fries). Several days later as we drove through the Inland Empire on the way to Murietta, we grabbed a break at this Carl's Jr. Nice clean store, with the same higher quality servers passing through for our input and offering assistance (some ketchup, please), which was promptly fetched. Yet, the Western Bacon Burger was less than pleasing to the tongue, perhaps due to the overly savory BBQ sauce and baconated accessories. It just tasted heavy and more compact in texture than desired. Not light and loose like a hand shaped patty would be. The sauce rode rough and darkly sweet, rather than spritly and invigorating. Contrarily, the chicken fingers were surprisingly good - crispy and light white meat with a better than the Colonel coating. Choice of dipping sauces, too, but the purest in my companion had her declining the sticky sweet options. The chicken saved the day for old Carlito. Although intended as a burger measurement, it wouldn't be fair to ignore something good that came from the experience. So, the three stars is the average between the praiseworthy chicken and the somewhat disappointing slider. read more

Hey All! I hope this review finds you well. I'll make this short! I went to Carl's craving a burger as they never let me down with the charbroiled (yum). I see that they have a new sandwich: The Sourdough Star. "Hmm...okay I'll try it" the pics looked BOMB. The Sourdough Star includes a charbroiled beef patty, two strips of bacon, classic sauce (their take on Mac or Special sauce i.e. Thousand Island), caramelized onions, melted American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo Welllllllll Let's just say I definitely prefer the Famous star. I've attached some pics for your viewing pleasure ;) It looked mostly like a white bread sandwich thrown together and torn a bit. It ran about 0.80 cents more than a famous star (it DOES have bacon and their special sauce on it so this makes sense) Not for me persay but give it a go yourself and make your own judgment! Food wasn't terrible. Fries weren't the freshest but burger was ok. My problem was with the service, or lack there of, that I received. Danielle our cashier was so rude! Not only on the speaker but at the window, she seemed irritated and like she didn't want to be bothered with an order. She had no name tag, so I asked her name and Ofcourse recieved an extra serving of complimentary attitude.
