Kathleen was a sweetheart in the drive thru. She really made my day. Food was good and service was wonderful!

Of all the fast food shops in the game, I was always a fan of CJ's. They had a different edginess that I gravitated towards. Fried zucchini is the best example I can think of at this moment. That's a super rare item on a fast food menu BUT it's a staple at CJ's. This spot is closest to home and I've been a handful of times. Went in today on my break and spoke with my man Greg and he's been the GM for over a year and a half now. He made the decision to make quality food the focal point of the shop. That's a bold move than I am absolutely in favor of. Today, I had a double western bacon cheeseburger that looked exactly like the photos!! Piled high with fresh crispy onion rings and crisply cooked bacon. It made such a big difference to taste the quality of the burger. Such a wonderful delight and delicious meal. Be patient with my peeps cause they're trying to cook food to order so we get a little taste of that fine dining experience, right in the comfort of our cars. read more

I don't normally write reviews but i feel like this one is necessary, I waited around 10 mins before getting my order taken while there was also people ahead of me who hadn't gotten their order taken. finally Tara came to the front to take orders and had one of her employees lock the door on her way out, how i took, she had the door locked because she didn't want to take orders, she then had to go outside to give people their orders and everytime she had to come back inside for something else they wanted she would make little comments under her breath like "jesus" and "oh my god" and would sigh everytime she passed us because she quit frankly just didn't want to do her job, yes the food was decent but overall the experience was very unpleasant and unprofessional. read more

The food here is normally good if you can ever actually complete a transaction. On numerous occasions, I've tried to order food and then refused service because they cannot accept $100 bill.. a combo meal is nearly $20. I don't think it's a stretch of the imagination to have adequate change during lunchtime to be able to make a sale.. if you are fortunate enough to be able to complete a transaction prepare to wait and extremely long time. He will insist you drive around and park and wait even when you're the only person in the drive-through defeating the purpose of fast food and a drive-through location.. this is the third time I've been unable to eat at this establishment due to wanting to pay with cash. Bring exact change or debit card and prepare to wait and extremely long time or I would recommend just driving to Mel's getting a real burger and saving money and time.. read more

I like Carls Jr. I was really happy when they opened. However, I have had multiple less than stellar experiences here. The staff, including management, can answer no questions about their app (that they promote in the store). I have yet to be able to actually use the app to get the deals they blitz you with. But moving beyond that, they leave the front unmanned and it takes a long time to get service. The food several times was not prepared as other Carls Jr prepares. Simply put, it does not taste as it should. This location needs some serious help. read more

Ok I don't normally leave reviews but this is ridiculous,. There was about 6-7 cars in the drive through, so I walk inside. They literally served every last person before me even though I only ordered 3 things. When I left their wasn't even a car left? What kind of service is that. What a joke, definitely not wasting my time here. How is that even fair? You'd think they would alternate, but nope if you walk in you're treated as less then someone that just sits in there car. This place always gets orders wrong. Doesn't seem to matter who is working or what the order is, it's wrong literally 90% of the time we order food. Just basic standard orders, nothing difficult, they just can't get it right. We're done trying to give em chances. Too expensive to get the order wrong so much. In general I really like Carls Jr. this location in Martell is disappointing. The food is often not quite hot, the sodas dripping down the cup, and the service is slow at best. The dining room is always a little sticky. I just wish it could be better. read more

Normally Carl's does a decent drive thru. A few nights ago, I ordered a taco off their Green Burrito menu. It had to be one of the saddest looking tacos assembled I've everseen in my life. The crazy thing is that it looked like it was thrown together as if it was rush hour, yet it was 8pm and I was the only one in the drive thru. Also, when you pay almost 2 bucks for a Coke, it should at least have decent carbonation. Too many times than I can count, their soda is flat. I can hear the background workers ripping on me as I ask each and every time if the soda is flat?? It's because it usually IS. Update: I received a response from Tammie, a Carl's Jr. franchise owner. She sent me two complimentary cards and a free taco offer. So that's kinda cool. Totally unexpected, but good customer service goes a long way. read more

Terrible service. The workers are slow and walk around with their heads in the clouds. The only time you can get your food in a timely manner is when the manager is working drive thru, telling the workers in the back what to make, packaging the food in the bags, and working the front counter. you HAVE to make sure they put your sauce in the bag before you leave because they literally NEVER put it in. which just leaves you with some nuggets with no dip. They also dont even give you the right sauce when you do get some. they are also extremely slow. Once witnessed a guy returning his chicken sandwich because they forgot to put the chicken on it. I stopped by my local Carls Jr. Restraunt today (Jackson, Ca) and had the best experience. I have long since been a fan of the food this chain has to offer but today was diffetent. Every employee I crossed paths with from the young man coming in from the outdoor eating area that opened the door and greeted me to the Counter and delivery ladies were over the top polite and full of energy. Each one of them greeted me with a smile and made me feel like a valued customer. The food was hot, fresh and tasted great. The restraunt was exceptionally clean inside and out including the Mens Restroom. After leaving the store I actually turned around and came back in so that I could tell the Manager how pleasant his crew was to me. I will definately come back!! Great job Crew! read more

I can't believe I'm authoring a glowing review of a fast food location. Coming from LA the fast food chains are TRASH so maybe my bar is low. However, in all my years, this Carl's Jr. may have the freshest well prepared fast food I've had, ever. It always looks like the the menu photos, the buns are fluffy, the fries (criss-cut or regular) are fried perfect and the seasoning is on point. I contemplated taking a star off for the recent inconvenience of not being able to dine in and frankly, being understaffed but the manager offered me a 10% discount next time I came in for that reason. Normally Carl's Jr. is decent for fast food but this one is not. Went there at 10 at night, only drive thru was open, even though the open sign was on. When we went thru the drive thru the person was rude, short and didn't do the order as asked. After a 20 minute drive home it wasn't worth going back. My family and I were on a long road trip and decided to stop in here. I was immediately impressed by how clean and nice it was on the inside. It took us awhile to decide what to order (we were delusional from the drive) and I was very impressed by the workers' patience and friendliness. The manager also helped us and was extremely nice. 1st time going to this Carl's Jr about 10 days ago, and will not be going back. I used the drive through and was disappointed to see the person at the drive up window, and 2 other individuals doing food prep without masks on. Masks are required per CDPH in business where food preparation is taking place. Apparently, they just don't care about their customers. read more

Got my order wrong twice, first time got the bacon Ranch fries with no bacon (my boyfriend has pork allergy) and they gave me bacon so I ate a couple fries and went in and told them I need one without bacon like I ordered and they insisted I give them the one with bacon and I even told them I ate some of it and they still proceeded to set it next to drive-through like they were gonna give them to someone. I got the ones with no bacon and went back to the car and realized that I only have small fries when I paid extra to get large fries with my meal so I went back in and ask for large fries as I ordered and the lady grabbed the small fries and checked them in the garbage can and gave me a large fries and said have a nice day bye when I continue to ask for catch up I got ignored read more

I hate to complain but the last few times I have been there I get the wrong order, 2 times I ordered the Carl's thick burger and get 1 patty, 1 onion slice and 2 strips of bacon, and nothing else plus when i ask for mustard or catsup they never give it to me, even when i ask when I order and again when I pick it up, the frys are usual stale and cold ,this is thru the drive thru i know their trying to get every penny in profit but it seems you should get what you paid for. this is at the Jackson ( Martell ) location. read more
