The owner at this Carls must use lower quality ingredients and hold its employees to lower standards since my old favorite, the double western bacon cheese burger, does not taste the same. Back on 10/4/22, The Homie and I headed way up north to Carl's Jr up in Marysville to combine with other stops made in Everett and Marysville. Marysville seems to have just about every corporate business available in the fast food universe. We chose to dine onsite and not use the drive through as this was our first visit to Carl's Jr. Last time for me was eons ago down in Oregon. Pros: Straightforward counter service, clean onsite seating, real lettuce on the Big Carl burger, burgers and fries served fresh and hot, given a cup to have ice water at no additional charge, plentiful napkins, straws, and ketchup packets. Cons: Had to wait for our milkshakes and major sticker shock for me - two Big Carls, two chocolate milkshakes, and medium fries cost over $30. Ouch. read more

I've had two orders messed up by Carl's Jr. through Doordash, and both times I've been left disappointed. The first time, they handed the driver the wrong order, and the second time, they forgot my large fry for my son with Autism. On one occasion, I've been told incorrect information about my order. As a customer who spends a significant amount of money, I expect more attention to detail and better customer service. Everyone is always so rude here after hours. Last time I went was to pick up a mobile order late night/early morning, and I went through the drive thru like everywhere else does. When I get up to the window the woman yelled at me for not coming into the building. Most places don't even have the doors unlocked after dark and if she would have just asked nicely I would have pulled around instead of shoving my food at me. This place serves pretty good hamburgers but my favorite is their biscuit and gravy during breakfast time. This fast food chain is the only one that I know who serves biscuits and gravy. It's the north end of Marysville that I don't get to come often. When I am in the area early morning, gotta have the biscuit and gravy! Cheap and filling. The gooey gravy and the soft biscuit the perfect combo just like what I used to have in the college pub before going to classes. Note please add extra salt and pepper to make the taste better. While a lot of breakfast restaurants serve biscuits and gravy, this place serves the biscuit and gravy as good as those breakfast restaurants. Why pay more $$? I just left Carl's. We ordered two bbq Beyond Burgers, we took a bite and they have bacon on them. Who the fuck puts bacon on a beyond burger?? Usually, people who get beyond meat are vegans or vegetarians so that means they don't eat meat. Bacon is meat. We pulled back around through the drive through and were told "people don't usually care", what people don't care? When people make a commitment to not eat animals, they don't want it fucked up by some dumbass restaurant. The drive through person didn't offer to make us new burgers, she didn't offer shit. She just told us that was how the burgers are served. She was nice when we ordered but had absolutely no desire to be helpful on the second go around. Carl's junior shouldn't even bother offering Beyond products if they can't train their damn staff on what they hell they are selling. In addition, don't serve beyond burgers and put fucking bacon on it. And just a note, the staff always offer a beyond chicken sandwich, but there is no beyond chicken sandwich. Is it that difficult for this restaurant to get it together. I want my money back for this bullshit. For almost 30 dollars the staff should be able to serve a meat fre burger. The personal were super great at their jobs tonight. I appreciate their friendliness and the food was really good too. He even offered to make a fresh pot of coffee if I wasn't happy with it. When did you start removing salt and pepper from the tables and when I asked I got 1 pepper and 6 salt. ??? I really like my pepper. The ice machine wasn't working and when I went to full my soda and remove my cup the soda continued to spill out which tells me the machine rarely gets cleaned (sticky sugar=ants) the food comes, my husband asks for tarter sauce and the lady says 11 cents. Since when? You can have every sauce but tarter is 11 cents. So more disappointment. I finish my zucchini and open my turkey burger and its beef!! Gross! Send it back, the lady said she will make it for no charge...really??? Pop repair man shows up and says you can't use the soda machine...what!!!! But I have my pop already. Throw it in the trash. Waited in line at drive-thru for 30 minutes to pick up my mobile order. The employee said there were no mobile orders when I finally got to speaker. I told her I had the order number and email receipt that I paid for the order already. She said hold on and went and looked and found my order. I received my order and mistakenly pulled away only to find out my order was messed up and I had to go through drive-thru again as lobby was closed. Another 30 minutes...got to speaker and told her what was wrong and she immediately responded with it didn't say that on the order. I told her I have the receipt and that is exactly what it says. Was with a couple friends visiting the outlet malls and I was absolutely starving. Luckily this place was nearby and needless to say, I was pretty excited. Carl's Jr. isn't a place I really need all the time, but once a year or so I'll have major cravings for it. Personally I think it's underrated, others may disagree, but this is my yelp review the others can write their own. My friends have never been to Carl's Jr. so I convinced them that they should go. So now there's a lot of pressure on me, I have just hope this place delivers. Alas, they were let down. Now part of this is just expectation setting, I probably did hype the place up too much. I mean it's just Carl's Jr., but like I said I was really having a craving. But at the same time, the tabletops were a little dirty and it took longer than the average time for the food to come out. Personally I don't think the place was any more unclean than the average fast food place but it certainly could've been cleaned up more. When the food came out, i mean it hit the spot. The bacon truffle fries were a hit, and for me personally, I love the onion rings at Carl's. My friend got an extra party in her burger - instead of taking it out like a reasonable person she just ate it and complained she couldn't eat it (which is what I would do too tbh). We ended up talking to this friendly old couple next to us, and they seemed to be really enjoying their Impossible Burger (that's the one everyone's been raving about lately). Went through the drive-thru last night on my way home from Everett. Hadn't been to a Carl's Jr in years. Stopped there primarily because of ease getting on and off the freeway. That was a mistake. I ordered 2 sliders and a Mocha Coffee shake. The shake was good, but the straw was useless. I had to switch it out for an extra straw I had in the console. The sliders were edible, but I wouldn't order them again. I think they were $1.75 a piece?!? But what left me stunned was the lack of napkins in my bag. Zero. Nada. None. Not one. It's a DRIVE-THRU order! How do you not put at least 2 napkins in the bag. Seriously?!! I won't be back.
