I give this store 0 stars because I have never been so angry with the way I was treated anywhere before I went with a coupon for a barbacoa burrito buy one get one free and it cost $4.53 I gave the cashier a $20 bill the last bill I had in my wallet and as I was doing so I had gotten a text so I was distracted and then I got my burritos and drove off then realized as I drove off that I never got my change so seeing as there were no other cars driving through I backed up to the window and politely asked what I assume with the manager if I could get my change because I had given her a $20 bill and she said let me ask the other cashier she had trouble tracking her down apparently she had snuck off into the back or something and the manager came back to the window and said that the other cashier believes that she did give me my change and I said that isn't the case if she had I would have the cash in my wallet because I always put bills directly into my wallet and the loose change into my center console of my car and I told her that I would look in my car and see if I did indeed put it all in my center console and she said she would count the drawers and of course I did not find anything in my center console and she looks as if she was counting the doors but it would take far longer to do so then what it did take and all the while there with cars coming in behind me trying to get their food but the lobby was locked so I had to do it from the drive thru and when she came back she asked me to just move along and I refused to because I despise thievery and that is exactly what they were doing to me if it wasn't then they would easily have my $20 bill right on top of all the other 20 dollar bills unless the cashier in question pocketed my money and she said I could call an 800 number and complain and I said that doesn't do me any good because I need the cash to put in my gas tank and that I wasn't going to move until I get my money back so they called the police on me so when the cops showed up I drove to the front to tell them my story and the manager came out and told them her side and finally gave me a receipt that I didn't get because I also didn't get my change and they're supposed to hand me a receipt with my change and the receipt had the 800 number on it but of course they work off Central time so I have to call tomorrow so I contacted them online to complain and will call them tomorrow and I also called for a boycott of that particular carls jr on Facebook and I have a lot of Facebook friends and I know a lot of them personally and they know that I am NOT the type to claim something like this unless indeed it is true I despise thievery I have been stolen from more times than I care to remember so I no longer put up with it and I will continue to leave bad reviews and participate in a boycott of that restaurant until I get my money back but I can't go on to the premises because the manager said he will be trespassing and I will be arrested so I hope everyone that reads this on Yelp also boycotts that restaurant or at least just drives to the drive thru and tell them to give me my money back read more

Avoid the drive through. The staff asks you to pay and then pull forward, instead of giving you your food, like a normal drive through. Sometimes there is no parking spot to pull into. Sometimes they forget your food and you have to go in to get it. Very disappointing experience. read more

The food is good and has always been served in a timely manner and at the proper temperature. My issue with this location has to do with their HORRID iced tea. I have given them the benefit of the doubt and ordered their plain tea at least three times. On every occasion the tea was bitter and tasted dirty. either they're not cleaning the machine properly or whoever is making it is not doing a very good job. Since I only come to Carl's Jr for their chicken sandwiches and I am NOT interested in drinking sugary soda, this is a major problem for me. read more

Ordered breakfast at the drive thru. Nothing spectacular. Order was taken quickly and delivered quickly. They did forget to give us straws for the OJ, we just pulled into the mcdonalds next door and got some. Average overall experience dealing with a large chain fast food joint. read more

This is one of the finer examples of a Carl's - clean, friendly service, great location. An excellent spot for a quick breakfast ... the steak and egg burrito being my favorite. And with their salsa bar, you can dress it just the way you like it. read more

Worst service I've had at a fast food place ever, takes almost 30 minutes to get your food at the indoor and they don't ask if you want condiments with your food, the fries are cold also. At the drive up they also don't ask if you would like condiments with your food and the lady damn near throws the food at you. Will never go back to that Carl's Jr again!! read more

Almost every time we have gone through the drive thru, we have to pull forward to wait for our food... Dine in, eh, not HORRIBLE not great either. Bathroom is nasty though, ick. The Mexican totillarilla next to it is wonderful....la Reyna. Go there instead of fast food...its worth it:-) read more

Really bad customer service. I waited in the drive thru for over 15 minutes and they got my order wrong. It was not a difficult order. ... cheese burger plain. I went back in and it took another 15 minutes to get the correct burger because they were filling all of the drive thru orders first. Excuse me! I already sat in the drive thru. Worst meal at a Carl's Jr. ever. Long line and only one person taking orders. They gave me the wrong burger. I saw a couple of other people returning their wrong orders too. The zucchini fries were cold and soggy. Burger was cold too. I could not finish the meal. read more

We stopped at the Atascadero location. We received great service. Unfortunately the order was wrong. We ordered a burger without cheese and as we got back on the road-the burger had cheese. We were headed north so we stopped at the Black Oak location because it was the next one off the freeway. We are traveling with our dog so we drove to the "drive thru" and explained out situation. The response we received was "I'm sorry but I can't help you here with that"-WHAT??? We asked to speak to a manager and were told to pull up to the window. Maria was at the window. My husband started to explain and she took the burger with cheese and our receipt and closed the window on him as he was speaking. It was very rude. Since I had my burrito I told him to go ahead and snack on the fried zucchini since initially we didn't know how long it would take until we found another Carl's Jr. On our route. He mentioned that it would be appreciated if he could get an order of zucchini or fries to eat with his burger to which Maria responded "what, you didn't get your zucchini either?" She was being sarcastic. I told her that typically you order to eat your meal at one time and it was very inconvenient to stop twice so that both my husband and I could eat the lunch we ordered. She disappeared from the window only to return with fries that were dry and warm so obviously they were not fresh instead of the zucchini. We could have chosen many different places to eat lunch but since we were in the mood for fried zucchini we chose Carl's Jr. I wish we had time to turn around and go back to Atascadero because I am sure they would have corrected the situation and gave us more zucchini without being made to feel we were asking for our money back and some! read more

Been coming here for about 6 years off and on. Food is good and service is decent. Best place to come if you want a good sized burger at a cheap price. My only complaint is that the employees need to start changing out the condiments and salsa more often rather than just letting them sit there all day with flies buzzing around them read more

This drive-thru is conveniently located off the 101 highway. I think it was open 24/7. Stopped here during a road trip with a few friends. People seemed polite and the food was decent. read more
