I was using the app in the parking lot (I usually prefer the app for the ease and not having to go inside), however my toddler was not with me and when the applications coupon was not working I went inside. I am glad I did as I was considering just going home and making lunch. Once I got inside I was greeted by Isaac, he was very friendly and engaging. He knew exactly how to navigate through my trouble with the coupon and we were on the road to success. I ordered my meal and now am able to take this picnic style and enjoy an afternoon hike after with my husband. This one small change completely changed my day. We rarely eat fast food and hadn't been to any Carl's Jr location in 8+ years. However, we recently gave it a go bc my partner really wanted to try the hand-breaded chicken sandwich since we don't live near his favorite Chic-fil-a. He loved it. It was very fresh & flavorful and looked much more like an upscale sandwich than either of us anticipated. He's also now a fan of their breakfast biscuit. We both enjoyed the waffle fries, extra crispy. Burgers are a little messy - like the special CA Burger with grilled onions (shredded lettuce, unfortunately), but since I always order without any sauce, it's not a huge deal - just want to mention that so you're aware if you're a saucy person. Other things we noticed that are worth mentioning: food is packaged very neatly in the bag with care which is also neatly sealed shut. App ordering works great - very simple to customize orders - and provides accurate timing for pickup. It's not at all what we expected. Maybe it's just this location, but it seems like they are really trying to create a slightly more upscale fast food experience. I won't say it will become a regular thing for us, but when needed, it's not a bad option. It's also never crowded, likely bc most people flock to the very busy McDonalds next door. I've been going to this Carl's Jr for a while. I have seen over the years the changes that employees make. Sometimes the food is not what you wanted, of the food was cooler than desired or the employee didn't like their job. For the last few months there is a man that is there first thing in the morning. I think his name is Abel. (Hopefully I spelled it right.) He works two jobs and always has a positive outlook on life. I can tell he enjoys helping people, he's not just there to make a paycheck. Normally I wouldn't give 5 stars if your meal was not complete, but yesterday, I asked him his name so I could reward him for early morning enthusiasm by posting on yelp and google. If I would have notice how dirty the restaurant is, I never would've ordered anything. Don't even get me started on what the bathroom looked like...YUCK! Jesus I've been eating a lot of fast food lately. Guess this is what happens when your bf is on spring break and your week consists of road trips up and down California. This Carl's is good, probably the worst I've been to in terms of general morale (of both the patrons and employees), but service was pretty on point otherwise. I took the plunge and ordered fish tacos - at a fast-food burger joint. What the hell, right? They were actually pretty good, and definitely a good value ($2.50 per for a big taco). I could tell it was actual fish, not a McFish meat byproduct. I don't think I would go out of my way to repeat the experience, but in a pinch, it's not a bad choice. I cannot stress enough - check your junk mail for fast food coupons and keep them in your car. My biggest accomplishment of 2014 so far. read more

This is my favorite Carl's Jr. to stop at. They're always really kind and accommodating to my crazy complicated Beyond Burger order. Earlier today, I ordered it and typically when I order it from another location, the lettuce wrap is very shabby and poorly crafted, but it was soooo good today, I could actually hold the burger together instead of ending up having to eat it with a fork like usual. I stopped in for lunch on Saturday, 1/15. I ordered a burger and drink, used my debit card and paid. The server gave me a receipt for $14.12 which was correct. Upon returning to may table I checked my online banking app to learn that the charge was $18.12. I immediately talked to the server that didn't understand what happened. No manager was present and I was instructed to return to see the manager on another day. I'm am not frequently near that location so that isn't a great solution. I checked my online banking after the holiday weekend hoping that perhaps the final posting would be correct but no, still $18.12. Stopped by on a break from a long trip. I originally saw the McDonald's next door and figured that it would satisfy my hunger. However, as soon as I saw the Carl's Jr right behind it, I immediately changed my mind. McDonald's is convenient, but Carl's Jr actually has burgers worth eating. The food wasn't bad, but it didn't really jump out at me with anything spectacular. I couldn't argue with the service, but I can't speak for the others behind me. It seemed to be about two or three people in the back with one person taking orders. If she had to take out somebody's food to the table or outside, the people waiting to make their orders had to wait until she returned. All in all, not bad. I give this store 0 stars because I have never been so angry with the way I was treated anywhere before I went with a coupon for a barbacoa burrito buy one get one free and it cost $4.53 I gave the cashier a $20 bill the last bill I had in my wallet and as I was doing so I had gotten a text so I was distracted and then I got my burritos and drove off then realized as I drove off that I never got my change so seeing as there were no other cars driving through I backed up to the window and politely asked what I assume with the manager if I could get my change because I had given her a $20 bill and she said let me ask the other cashier she had trouble tracking her down apparently she had snuck off into the back or something and the manager came back to the window and said that the other cashier believes that she did give me my change and I said that isn't the case if she had I would have the cash in my wallet because I always put bills directly into my wallet and the loose change into my center console of my car and I told her that I would look in my car and see if I did indeed put it all in my center console and she said she would count the drawers and of course I did not find anything in my center console and she looks as if she was counting the doors but it would take far longer to do so then what it did take and all the while there with cars coming in behind me trying to get their food but the lobby was locked so I had to do it from the drive thru and when she came back she asked me to just move along and I refused to because I despise thievery and that is exactly what they were doing to me if it wasn't then they would easily have my $20 bill right on top of all the other 20 dollar bills unless the cashier in question pocketed my money and she said I could call an 800 number and complain and I said that doesn't do me any good because I need the cash to put in my gas tank and that I wasn't going to move until I get my money back so they called the police on me so when the cops showed up I drove to the front to tell them my story and the manager came out and told them her side and finally gave me a receipt that I didn't get because I also didn't get my change and they're supposed to hand me a receipt with my change and the receipt had the 800 number on it but of course they work off Central time so I have to call tomorrow so I contacted them online to complain and will call them tomorrow and I also called for a boycott of that particular carls jr on Facebook and I have a lot of Facebook friends and I know a lot of them personally and they know that I am NOT the type to claim something like this unless indeed it is true I despise thievery I have been stolen from more times than I care to remember so I no longer put up with it and I will continue to leave bad reviews and participate in a boycott of that restaurant until I get my money back but I can't go on to the premises because the manager said he will be trespassing and I will be arrested so I hope everyone that reads this on Yelp also boycotts that restaurant or at least just drives to the drive thru and tell them to give me my money back read more
