I ask them 1 more time cause i see our order car got post up on there website again to sell

My parent and I are enrolled in the Replace Your Ride program, and I spent over a month searching for a decent Toyota RAV4. We finally found one at CarMax. We visited on Saturday, signed the paperwork, and ran a credit check. However, the interest rate they offered was too high. We asked if they could hold the car until Monday so we could return with financing from our own bank, and the salesman agreed to keep it for us. When we returned on Monday with our bank's approval, they told us the car had been sold to someone else. They don't even care after that, they just advise us a different car. Please be careful with CarMax; they prioritized a quick sale over their promise to us, likely because the Replace Your Ride program takes a few months for them to receive the funds. We now only have two weeks left before our program voucher expires, leaving my family in a very difficult situation.

Thank you Claudia for be an awesome salesperson!!

Came here on 12/17/24 to buy a truck. Checked in and after being ignored for almost an hour, we left. I had a great experience here last time. This time not so much. Update: I did get 2 missed calls from a no ID phone number, they didn't even leave a voicemail.

Sold a Car! It was fast, easy and quick! I highly recommend selling your car to them.

    Goodbye Civic. Great memories.

Decided it was time to sell my car as we want to start a family and need to upgrade. We didn't want to haggle trading in my car as we are unsure which new vehicle to get. My partners past experience with carmax has been great so we decided to make a visit yesterday. We were greeted nicely by receptionist and was kindly referred to business office as we already out evaluation online and received an offer. Was very to check in and the process was explained well. Took about 30 min for them to check the vehicle and we were greeted by a Linda who confirmed our quote and the amount to be offered. We accepted offer and began working with Linda on paperwork and signing. Linda was simply amazing. Very kind and personable. She explained the process clearly and made us feel welcomed and thanked us many times for choosing their location. I would recommend this location to all friends and family nearby

Joanna hooked us up with a great little work car. 5 star review coming.

I had a great experience with Joanna. It could not have been easier. I decided I had to have a car on Saturday after my bank closed. Joanna was a great sport about all of my questions and help me secure financing with zero down and a 5.99% interest rate. I was able to leave with the car less than an hour after my test drive. Jesse in finance was great and helped me sign all the necessary documents without trying to sell me a bunch of extra things. I usually hate buying cars, but this was quick and painless. I'm sure everyone that sells here is great, but if I were you, I would definitely make a point to ask for Joanna P. Thanks again. It was a pleasure.

Came here to test drive some cars and see what make/ model car I prefer. I brought my partner along for a second opinion. And to keep me honest so that I didn't buy the very first car I test drove hahaha Anyway, I just bought a vehicle from another CarMax location. They failed to inform me that they didn't have the title / pink slip for the vehicle I purchased. I financed the Range Rover. Had the Rover for a little over one month. And they just called me this week to tell me that they wouldn't be able to obtain the pink slip. Okay, well that sucks. So naturally, I no longer wanted the Rover. It doesn't make sense to make payments on a vehicle to never have the title for it. I came to the Costa Mesa CarMax to try to find another car. I explained the situation that had happened at the other location, and they said they could help me find a car that they have the title to. Perfect! Unfortunately, it did take a little bit of "undoing" to do the buyback process with the down payment and the first month payment already paid. CarMax had to get two managers to sign off on the buyback and then undo everything from the bank. I know it was a lot of work to do. And I am thankful they went through all the hoops to fix this. Marty was our sales guy and he was great. Very nice and knowledgeable about each car. He allowed us to test drive as many as we wanted. We did all the test drives and knew which car was our favorite. He is an honest guy and is very kind. Go to Marty! PS. Make sure they have the title/ pink slip before buying/ financing any vehicle from a dealership. That way you avoid the headache!

After speaking with Norman and…read moreBrian, it was clear right away that we were dealing with professional and genuinely relatable people. Used car sales can carry a negative stigma, but from our first impression, there was no pressure or typical sales tactics--just a team focused on helping us with the Kia EV9. When we sat down to go over financing and numbers with Frank, we expected the usual back-and-forth with a sales manager--but that wasn't the case at all. He was straightforward, honest, and just as professional. The entire team was transparent, including clearly explaining the ceramic coating add-on so there were no surprises. Even after we left the lot, they continued to go above and beyond--quickly addressing a couple of follow-up questions and a small concern we had. We absolutely love our EV9, and we've already been recommending them to others looking to get into an EV. If you're in the market for a well-maintained EV and a smooth, no-pressure buying experience, this is the place to go.

Tried out other cars I liked but found out the advertised price is not the actual price. +$5k of wheels and ceramic coating, and fees as an additional cost. It's mentioned in the listing that this may be the case, but it's always the case on every car. What I REALLY didn't like though was the "extra" DMV fees, which is not allowed. Those are fixed costs...Last, when asked about the manufacturer warranty, it was overstated. We did like our sales rep, inventory, but the pricing strategy was really not ideal.

The online listing made the car sound pristine, but in person, it had a long list of issues: broken trim, missing parts, mismatched tires, rusted rotors, and a non-functioning rear screen. These flaws weren't disclosed in the ad. Worse, the dealership attempted to charge $5,500 for paint protection, theft deterrents, tint, and other add-ons that were never discussed beforehand, despite claiming "no hidden fees." Their fine print later revealed these were pre-installed and not part of the advertised price. I waited more than 20 minutes to speak with a manager after raising concerns but willing to negotiate, but no one followed up, so I walked out. This place banks on uninformed buyers accepting inflated prices and vague add-ons. If you're a serious buyer, read the fine print, ask hard questions, and be ready to walk. UPDATE 6/28/25: After buying the same make and model at a different dealership -- one with FAR better integrity -- I want to reflect back at my experience at this dealership and their practices. First, salesman wanted me to negotiate on the final price, not the vehicle price. That's a classic dealership tactic as it protects the sticker price for their metrics, have an easier time hiding add-on profits, and it creates a false impression of flexibility. Ultimately, this is bad for the buyer because transparency is lost, it protects their margin and limits one's leverage. I knew that's what they were aiming at, so I held the line on only negotiating on the sticker price. Again, LOOK AT THE PICTURES AS TO WHY!! In spite of what I just said, he proceeded with the oldest trick dealerships do: "cool-down" or "sweat-you-out" tactic. This is done to make one feel uncomfortable or impatient with the ultimate goal of getting one emotionally invested in staying and "finishing the deal". By doing so, they wear you down so that you're more likely to agree to their numbers just to be done. There are other reasons too but this is a big one. ~20 minutes of waiting, I told one of the salesmen that I've been waiting a while for the manager and will leave in 5 minutes if he doesn't arrive. True to my word, I left. I never heard from them after that (they had my contact info) which tells me they would rather wait for a less informed, emotional buyer to foolishly agree to the unfair price of this car AND overpriced mandatory add-ons. Here's my take away from this dealership: 1) High-pressure, low-integrity dealership model: They prioritize margins over relationships with a focus on flipping cars at inflated prices. They also rely on delays, confusion, and "manager invisibility" to outlast smart buyers. 2) Poor reconditioning = Cut costs: The car's condition (damaged trim, mismatched tires, rusted rotors, broken screen and so on) says they're not investing in inventory. They're pushing it out as-is and hoping no one notices. 3) The "Fool Tax" strategy: the biggest one for this dealership. They keep cars on the lot long enough to find someone unaware or emotionally invested. I was never their ideal buyer. I was informed, direct, and clear. PLEASE TAKE MY EXPERIENCE AS A WARNING. AVOID THEM. I AM SPEAKING AS SOMEONE WHO DID NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM. IMAGINE HOW I WOULD FEEL IF I DID. UPDATE 4/1/26: Since my visit, California passed SB 766, aimed at deceptive practices like misleading pricing and add-ons, the same issues I and many others have raised here. After 10/1/26, dealers engaging in those practices will face greater scrutiny. If you believe you were misled or defrauded, consider filing a complaint w/ DMV Investigations and keep all documentation. In Jan 2026, Yelp placed a "Suspicious Review Activity" alert on this dealership's page (see pic). Read it, then look at how many good reviews come from accounts with 1-3 total reviews here, versus those with a much longer review history. Draw your own conclusions. IF YOU FOUND A VEHICLE YOU LOVE AT THIS DEALERSHIP, PLEASE STAY AWAY!! THEY WILL USE YOUR EMOTIONS AGAINST YOU.

No pressure tactics, no surprise fees, fair pricing, and a quick and easy transaction. It's refreshing compared to the typical used car dealer experience, and I genuinely appreciated that. The Bad: I drove off the lot and immediately noticed two warning lights on the dash: charging port fault and airbag. You know how cars flash a few lights on startup and they disappear within seconds? That's what I assumed. Besides, you're spending $50K+ on a car and you don't expect to drive away with these active warnings. I simply trusted Zed on that. Both turned out to be real issues. $1,400 paid to fix it. During my inspection, one of the Falcon Wing doors hesitated when opening. Zed said it was probably the sun, shade, or dust interfering. I took his word for it. It wasn't. $650 quote from Tesla. One week later, a steering rack warning appeared. $4,000 quote. Total damage in week one: over $6,000 on top of the purchase price. My Take: I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he didn't know about these issues. But either way, it's clear these cars aren't being thoroughly inspected before they hit the lot. I'd give 3.5 stars if I could, but $6,000+ in repairs within a week makes 4 stars hard to justify. Would I buy from here again? "Maybe..." But next time I'm bringing my own inspector, spending more time on the test drive, and checking every light, every panel, and every moving part myself. Bottom line: Good dealer. Smooth process. But do NOT skip a thorough pre-purchase inspection. Do NOT assume the car is in good condition because you're having a good experience during your time at the dealership.

I ignored other reviews and purchased my dream car from OC Autosource...a Bentley Continental GT Speed "Limited Le Mans Edition" (#7 of 48) coupe. Though the car had been in his hands for weeks, he apparently never bothered to have a mechanic look at it. I paid for a PPI (Pre-Purchase Inspection) after buying it (my bad, don't make this mistake) and learned the truth about the car. The front grills had sustained damage, breaking off the tabs that hold them in place and subsequently been GLUED back on. The front left wheel had a crack in it which caused the tire to steadily lose air pressure, ultimately triggering an alert on the car's dash. This alert effectively froze the computer, making it impossible to use the navigation, listen to music or do anything else. I returned to the tire shop 3 times for refills, seven days later the alarm was triggered again, On my third visit they discovered the crack in the wheel. The exhaust system was loosely hanging on...missing brackets that secure it and prevent it from hanging low. The car has a 20 speaker, $7500.00 sound system but the blown speaker in the dash made it painful to use...like nails on a chalkboard. When I provided Tony proof of these flaws, he assured me he would make good on the repairs and "..do the right thing" and I believed him. I had everything fixed at a cost of $2637.79 (parts & labor) and now enjoy driving the car. Weeks passed and Tony never contacted me until I posted a review and filed a BBB complaint. 24hrs after posting my initial review & filing a BBB complaint, I got reimbursed the total amt for the aforementioned repairs. But because Tony asked me to "...remove all the negative you put out there" I feel this was mere damage control rather than his desire to do the right thing because I received more messages from him within 24hrs of posting my review than I received in the preceding 4 months.. I promised him an honest review on my first visit to OC Autosouce & that's what this is. I always keep my word. If you intend to purchase a car from OC Autosource, I suggest you demand a PPI be conducted before you buy. Have the cost of any repairs necessary be deducted from the purchase price and handle the repairs yourself. JMO...I could be wrong.
