Then, when I got to checkout, they again confirmed that I was uninsured and suddenly told me that I had 6 cavities. I asked why the dentist looking at my teeth said I had 4 and the lady at check out said the dentist had mispoken on how many based on the scans? They quoted me approximately $2,000 for the recommended dental work. Going from 3 to 4 cavities during the exam to 6 at checkout, along with a $2,000 treatment quote, felt extremely strange to me. The whole situation just felt off, and I became suspicious enough that I did not feel comfortable moving forward without another opinion. I went to a completely different dental office, had new X-rays taken and a full exam, and they told me that I have zero cavities. I had them double check as I was shocked to hear this, and also then after explained the situation that had occurred here. And they again confirmed that no, I had no cavities. I understand that dentists can sometimes interpret things differently, but the difference between being told I had 3-4 cavities, then 6 cavities, being quoted around $2,000 in treatment, and ultimately having another dentist find none at all is pretty shocking. I'm extremely glad I trusted my instincts and got a second opinion before agreeing to treatment. I would not go here and am at a loss of words for the situation Toothopia nearly put me in.

I recently completed my second round of Bioclear treatment with Dr. Calleros and could not be…read morehappier with the results. I first learned about Bioclear as I was nearing completion of Invisalign treatment with my orthodontist, Dr. Amy Gimlen. I had several "black triangles" between my upper front teeth as well as exposed areas along the gumline from recession. I had previously been offered veneers or crowns for my six upper front teeth to address these issues. I have been very diligent about caring for my teeth--Waterpik, flossing and brushing three times daily, plus professional cleanings every three months--and other than the recession and black triangles, my teeth are in good condition for my age. I therefore wasn't enthusiastic about grinding down healthy teeth for veneers or crowns, and I also had concerns about their long-term maintenance and replacement. When Dr. Gimlen suggested Bioclear and referred me to Dr. Calleros, I did some research. I learned that Bioclear uses specialized matrices and heated composite to reshape and restore teeth while preserving much of the natural tooth structure. With proper care, the restorations can potentially last many years and can often be repaired or refreshed if necessary. After a consultation with Dr. Calleros, I felt it was an excellent option for me. I initially had Dr. Calleros treat only my two upper central incisors so I could see the result before proceeding further. She closed the black triangle between them, and I was so pleased that I returned to have six additional black triangles treated--three on each side. She also completely restored the visible areas affected by gum recession on my upper teeth. The result is remarkable. The black triangles are gone, the gumline areas look excellent, and my teeth still look like MY teeth. They retained their natural color rather than having the unnaturally bright or "neon white" appearance I wanted to avoid. Everything blends beautifully and looks very natural. Dr. Calleros is a highly skilled and experienced dentist with excellent hands, tremendous attention to detail, and a superb bedside manner. I am a retired anesthesiologist, so after a career working with healthcare professionals, I have a good appreciation for excellent clinicians and well-run practices. Dr. Calleros clearly meets that standard. I was equally impressed by the collaboration between Dr. Calleros and Gimlen Orthodontics. Dr. Amy Gimlen and Dr. Scott Barlow worked to get my teeth optimally positioned with Invisalign before the Bioclear treatment. The two offices communicated extremely well, and that teamwork contributed significantly to my final result. I still have some black triangles and recession involving my lower teeth, and I plan to return to Dr. Calleros to have those treated as well. For someone with black triangles, gum recession, or similar cosmetic concerns who wants to preserve as much natural tooth structure as possible, I think Bioclear is an excellent option to discuss with a properly trained and experienced dentist. I feel very fortunate that Dr. Gimlen referred me to Dr. Calleros. Finally, the staffs in both offices are fantastic--professional, friendly, accommodating, and genuinely committed to excellent patient care. My thanks to Dr. Calleros, Dr. Gimlen, Dr. Barlow, and their wonderful teams. I highly recommend Dr. Calleros.

Every single detail is top-notch: the client service, the advanced technology, the admin & customer service, the decor, the generosity, the oasis of positive energy and excellent talent - it's extraordinary. I just had an implant put in (#19) several hours ago. This involves local numbing and a series of 5 progressively larger drills into your jawbone. I literally walked home afterward, felt no pain during or after and didn't even take an Advil. It is because of Dr. Calleros' expertise, holistic approach, impeccable team, excellent bedside manner - she is simply the best. It's women-owned and women-run. I love men but the vibes in this place are just NEXT LEVEL. Pristine, high-tech, no-nonsense, great energy. As if it wasn't perfect enough, they give you your own personalized TV and let you set your pandora station while you have your dental work done - and then they offer you a lavender or eucalyptus warm towel to dab your face!! Every. Single. Detail. Huge kudos and thank you!! ps - I think I have written 2 reviews for anything, EVER, so this review should speak volumes about my authentic believe in this practice.

WOULD RATHER LET MY TEETH ROT THAN COME HERE…read more TL;DR - Terrible customer service, patient care AND shady billing. Familiarize yourself with The No Surprises Act - Providers are legally required to give you an up-front cost estimate before performing work you'll have to pay for out-of-pocket. If they skip that step and bill you months later, that is THEIR mistake. It's on them, not you. I'll start on a positive note - Vy, the hygienist is an absolute gem. The salt of the Earth, really. She is compassionate, kind and gentle. Her care for patients is palpable and I wish she didn't work here so I could continue to be seen by her. Everyone else? Absolute crooks who dgaf about patients. It's all about sales. This place tried to stick me with a $1,000 bill SIX MONTHS after my appointment for work they never told me would not be covered by insurance. When I called them out, their "solution" was taking ZERO accountability (no apology) and "generously" offering 30% off... meaning I'd still pay $754 for THEIR mistake. Only when I cited the No Surprises Act and threatened legal action did they take accountability. Here's my experience summed up for you: Bait-and-switch Invisalign treatment - I came ONLY to create space for a missing molar implant. That's it. No cosmetic reasons, my bite or alignment was not causing any pain. I only needed to create space for an implant, nothing else and I made that VERY clear. Dr. Sidat sold me $5,000+ of Invisalign without outlining my care plan. She never told me I needed my wisdom teeth out first, or that it might not even work and that actual braces would be a better route. After TWO full sets of trays (with only 3 included in my care plan), their oral surgeon (Dr. Michael) bluntly tells me it won't achieve my goal at all. Pressure & contradiction of treatment plan: Dr. Michael contradicted Sidat's plan, dismissed my request for sedation for wisdom teeth extraction, and continued to pressure me into having my teeth pulled THAT day. ZERO bedside manner, zero warmth and lack of care. He should consider a different career path. Lack of transparency: Without a word, Dr. Sidat vanished and Dr. Bae took over my case. No explanation. No transparency. Just pretending like nothing happened. Mind you - I had never met Dr. Bae or seen her before. Painful, botched work: Dr. Bae did fillings and resin work while I was clearly in pain (wincing and wiggling in chair). I had to physically grab her wrist and tell her I needed a minute to which she did not say a word or apologize. Instead she sat there like a dog waiting for you to throw a ball. She just wanted to get back to work. My tooth is still rough and not smoothed over from the work she did. Then, after that, she gave me my retainer which didn't fit. She blamed me and said I wasn't wearing my trays long enough, wasted 45 minutes trying to hack it down, and eventually had to rescan my teeth. Dismissive arrogance: When I told her this entire process was extremely frustrating and how I felt like I was not being heard by Dr. Sidat and Dr. Michael, and now her, she told me I was "overthinking." The final straw: The $1,000 bill ($933.61 to be exact). At my January appointment, I was told my cost would be $142 after insurance. Six months later, I receive a bill for $933. Management refused responsibility, told me informing patients of out-of-pocket costs is just a "courtesy," and hid behind layers of front desk and billing staff. The manager, Scott, didn't even bother asking what happened or try to understand. They are dishonest, predatory, and shameless. I'd rather pull my own teeth out with pliers than give them another cent. If this review saves even ONE person from dealing with these crooks, it's worth it. Last thing I'll say is look at my yelp profile - I pride myself in NEVER giving 1 star reviews, in fact this is my first one, because I know how shitty it is. But I'd give this place 0 stars and put them out of business if I could.
