Centrally located in the heart of Times Square. This location is on the second floor and you are greeted very warmly upon arrival. I highly recommend the delicious homemade chicken soup that is made daily, it also comes with delicious slices of bread . It's a hearty soup delicious for lunch or dinner. Went to the Carnegie Diner in Midtown Manhattan for Mother's Day and the experience was very nice. A lot of families had the same idea. The food was great. The service was excellent and the motif was interesting. Because the restaurant was on an upper floor without any windows, they had a huge screen showing a live shot of the intersection of where the building was, so it was like you having a view. Pretty cool. I do have to say the Bloody Mary was not the best. I am a Bloody Mary connoisseur and I would love to give them some ideas to make a great drink with little effort. It's not easy to locate as you need to take the elevator to the second floor which makes it likely to be less crowded. It's a cute restaurant with great service and the food was typical. I had southern chicken waffle which came with a fruit salad. It was tasty. My husband had a tuna salad sandwich which he enjoyed but complained that it was a bit skimpy with the tuna salad. read more

Stayed at the hotel nearby and had easy access to Carnegie. Overall, it's a great bang for your buck considering the location. There's a huge selection of food and drinks, which is a plus. I especially liked that they offer $10 margaritas with different flavors and all the ones we tried were solid. For food, I ordered a hamburger and chicken tenders. The burger and fries were definitely the highlight, while the tenders were decent, nothing crazy, but they got the job done. I'd definitely come back here to grab a drink or a quick bite, and I've been hearing good things about their breakfast, so I'll be trying that next time. read more

This restaurant was located on Times Square. You have to go inside an elevator to the second floor to locate this facility. It was a little bit hard to find, but I was able to locate it. Unfortunately, they do not have any views of Times Square in the restaurant, which was a bummer. I sat at the bar, hoping for fast service, but it took very long to get the bartenders attention. Everyone was complaining around me and offering the bartender $20 so they could get a glass of water and coffee when I finally did receive my food. It was good but it's a place where you need to go with time on your hands, I ordered the croissant with ham and cheese. It was delicious. I LOVE the location on 8th ave and am hoping this one is just newer meaning it needs more time to develop. I ordered the California sandwich and the chicken was so rubbery I couldn't eat it. My dad ordered the impossible burger. The server told us they were out of the bun it comes on. He changed it to bread and they came over multiple times to tell us that's not how it normally comes. We knew from the first time they came over. It read as more of an incompetence than care. It took a while for the server to come over for me to reorder. They took the sandwich off the bill. I think this is a new location and has only been open a few weeks, so they are still kind of working out the kinks. Came with my buddies and we got some beers to go along with some onion rings, chili, pastrami sandwich, and turkey club. The food was pretty good and the portion size was big enough to split a sandwich between two people. I thought this place was related to the Carnegie Deli, but I had no idea Carnegie Deli has closed and the menu here specifically states they are not related to them. Needed a brunch spot in/near Times Square on short notice. Yelp search and found Carnegie. It's clear and repeated that they are not associated with the fabled deli. However, the decor is bright and colorful, full of the life of the city and artwork reflecting the arts. Also, a live video feed of Times Square which was fun to watch Birds Eye view. The food was delicious and generous portions. Our table enjoyed a tropical crunch waffle, chocolate chip waffles, standard everything bagel with lox and such, black coffee and standard flavored coffee drinks. I VERY SPECIFICALLY asked the waitress at the front who seated us if they had the plant-based menu to avoid what ended up happening, and she looked me directly in my eyes and said yes. When I get to the table, order a drink and proceed to down half of it, and am ready to order the vegan Yeero sandwich, which I had tried at another Carnegie Diner location and loved, I am informed by the server "we don't have that" nor did they have almost any of the other main plant-based entrees besides the Impossible burger, which I didn't want at all and wasn't even seasoned. Angry and disappointed was an understatement, because if I had known that from the moment my date and I walked in, I would have turned and walked out. The prices are ridiculous. A breakfast of eggs , bacon , potatoes + coffee will set you back over 30 dollars and that does not include toast or a tip. The menu prices for everything else are equally outrageous. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE AND BELOW AVERAGE FOOD! Read below: This place was extremely disappointing. My partner and I weren't looking for anything fancy or special, but mainly wanted a place that offered breakfast and lunch options. We were immediately seated and greeted by our server who gave us water and menus then disappeared for a very long time. My cup was very dirty and I had to flag the waiter down to get a new one. During that time we noticed another party came in and were seated and our waiter took their orders before us. He finally came by and we placed our order. My partner ordered pancakes to start and when they arrived they were burnt at the bottom. I ordered mozzarella sticks and they were alright. The waiter once again took a very long time before coming by again to check-in. My partner let him know the pancakes were burnt and he told us he would take it off the bill. We received our entree and we did not see our waiter again. I ordered the shrimp spaghetti which was bland but eatable. My partner ordered the double cheese burger which had half a patty on the top and a half a patty on the bottom. My partner also said the sauce that was on the burger was not good. They did not eat the burger and barely touched the fries. The waiter passed by multiple times and could clearly see my partner was unsatisfied but did not bother to check in. Our water was never refilled the entire time we were seated. The waiter finally came by to ask us if we were ready to pay and I began telling the waiter about the burger my partner received. The waiter's reaction was lackluster and uncaring. We ended up paying so we could quickly leave. The restaurant wasn't busy when we came in so I don't understand why the service was so poor.
