The lady here was very nice and they have some shaded tables to eat at. I hate to give such a low rating, but the carne asada burrito I just got was straight up BAD! From the first bite, gristle meat and super salty, like so salty it's like they're trying to disguise that the meat might be old. Seriously never had such a salty burrito. There was plenty of meat, but most of it was either chewy or gristle. The tortilla where the fold comes together was super tough, almost too much to bite through. I think it cost about $12 and I tipped $2, really wish I picked a different truck. Been going to this place for years. Their carne asada tacos are always tasty and filling, and should be eaten with the fresh green onions and red sauce. Their horchata is more on the cinammon-y side, where you can taste all the extra sugar and sludge at the bottom. Their prices have gone up due to COVID and they are also cash only. I always recommend the carne asada tacos if you come to this truck. Staff is also always friendly and quick. I'm giving four instead of five stars solely on their location. It's on Sonoma Boulevard and in an auto shop parking lot, so I automatically know it isn't the safest area. But I'm usually fine sitting on the wooden picnic tables that are there. However, on my most recent visit, I was approached by a seemingly drunk male in broad daylight while I was waiting for my food whilst standing next to my car. If not, you will be parking on the street, which doesn't feel very safe. Review from a real Mexican. Horrible food. I have ordered twice from here and each time the experience was terrible. First time I order the Lengua Tacos. The Lengua was dry, hard and overcooked. the tortilla was hard and stale. Second time I ordered the Regular Beef Burrito. If you dare to open up the burrito, it looks like wet dog food. The beef was dry and over cooked. The rice was overcooked and super soggy to the point it mushes together. The hot sauce has no flavor at all and it's almost uneatably spicy. It's honestly one of the worst hot sauces I have had and I've had some terrible hot sauces. Taco Trucks are like Ice Cream...everyone has a favorite flavor. Guadalajara takes the prize in my book for Top Taco Truck. What sets this truck apart from the dozen or so other trucks that dot Vallejo? They all churn out Infant-sized burritos, they all are extremely kind to the wallet, and they all are conviently placed so that you never have to drive very far. Three words: proportion, proportion, proportion. Just like Goldilocks, I found out that too much of anything can be problematic. I've had burritos that've had three microscopic pieces of meat served with a bucket of guac/salsa other times I've had an almost PURE meat burrito sans cheese, beans, etc. The folks at Guadalajara do it JUUUUUUUST right and for that they have earned a loyal patron for life (or as long as they stay in business). p.s. get the salsa. Whenever i leave the east bay and I'm passing through Vallejo, this is the only stop I'll make. The super burritos at his place are unmatched, even after searching for an equal for over 4 years that would be closer to home. The burrito is $5, is more than enough to fill me up, and comes with a radish for unknown reasons. I thought the food here was decent taco truck fare. We sampled a burrito and tacos. The carne asada was a little gristle-y but still tasted grilled and yummy. The pastor had bite! I came here during my lunch break from clinical. I happen to randomly came across this burrito truck driving aimlessly to somewhere that had a lot of restaurants. I order the super steak burrito and I enjoyed it. The steak was marinated well and the rice was dang dry and there was a type of sauce/salsa they put inside that made it taste even better compared to other burrito trucks/restaurants that make their burritos dry. Different style and flavor than most of the other trucks in Vallejo, and the food is definitely not bad. I just prefer the style of the other trucks. The red sauce they use is too overwhelming, they smother it over all their tacos, and the green onion tastes funny, I prefer the roasted chili peppers or regular onions. Also, they charge tax on their orders, which is pretty weird for a cash-only taco truck. Anyways I ordered the al pastor quesadilla and it was beyond my expectations. This thing was huge and messy but so delish. The meat had been grilled with onions and then the cheese melted and then on top it had sour cream, lettuce and hot sauce. If you don't like onions be sure to tell them.
