Huevos Rancheros and Sun on the Lake juice
    Renee N.

This hidden little spot is located in the Lakeside Village within the Desert Shores neighborhood. Small and intimate setting with tables outside only. I met up with my good friend and fellow Yelper from Reno, Nevada. We had the place to ourselves initially but it did get busier. The weather was perfect so sitting outside was perfect. They serve breakfast, lunch and also cater. I decided on the Huevos Rancheros with rice and beans. I also ordered the Sun on the Lake which was mango, pineapple, orange juice and coconut water. A very refreshing drink to start the day with. My Huevos were tasty and filling. Their salsa's are so delicious too plus homemade. Service was friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our experience here. I will try lunch next time.

Served burnt toast! Chef and server should have known better than to serve...

Plus side, food arrived hot and fast. Moderately priced. Downside, burnt toast. Had to ask for a remake when they shouldn't served it in the first place. Had to ask for EVERYTHING! Not pictured, pancakes but not butter or syrup. No salt or pepper on the table.

After a morning appointment, I stopped here for breakfast. Most of the seating is outside on the patio. They have fans and heaters to use depending on the season. It was 70º when I was there and the patio was a delight. It is all covered so there won't be sun shining in your face any time during the day. The patio is a very relaxing place. I was soon brought a menu. I ordered the Mexico City burrito and black coffee. With that section of the menu, you can get your breakfast as either a burrito or a crepe. In a short time, the burrito was brought, The dish and the burrito were very hot. The Mexico City is filled with chorizo, scrambled eggs, jalapeños, guacamole, and cotija cheese. This makes for a very hearty breakfast. The weight of the burrito with that good filling makes it a large, shareable breakfast. The coffee is served inn a colorful cup and the coffee was great! I didn't know this was here until I happened to be in the plaza a few months ago. It gives me a reason to go to Desert Shores.

Chef Manny and his crew are always amazing! Thank you for your kind and attentive service. The food is consistently great and always fresh--definitely a place I look forward to coming back to.

This chorizo omelet was perfect in every way.

This spot was lowkey and quiet which I loved. The service was fast and the salsa was delicious. I even bought a container to bring home with me. There is only outside sitting so be mindful of this on windy days.

So I looked at reviews before going but didn't see a spot for its only outside dining. It was cooler out when I visited so it was not pleasant. It's a small place and they do have heaters. Didn't help. Staff was friendly though. Ordered the choriqueso because I saw a picture on here earlier and it did not look the same when it arrived but it was still good but very very oily. We ordered the breakfast tacos. No flavor. Very disappointed. Chips and salsa was nice though.

Delicious place to eat and enjoy family time, date brunch, alone time, or with a small group of close friends. Very calm, quiet and relaxing intimate vibe. Outdoors. Cute little dining area. Nice waitresses. The food is very good. We catered my daughter's quince dinner from here and everyone loved it. We come here when we want authentic flavored homemade Mexican food. They also have a Birria that is t on the menu but just ask and the chef will bring it out. It's a lot of food so you might be able to share. Whether you are visiting or a local, you should take a bit of time to stop by and grab a quick bite, dessert, or even just a smoothie. You won't be disappointed. Make sure to arrive early tho bc they close by 3pm.

Found this little spot on a Sunday and I'm so happy I did! It's a little hidden gem but the flavor is bold and delicious. My favorite was the patio seating and how transformative it feels. We ordered the surf and turf chilaquiles and the chorizo skillet. Both were delicious. The salsa had amazing flavor and depth. Service was great and attentive. The server recommended various house favorites and he didn't disappoint. The skillet was perfect with the chorizo and the perfectly cooked potatoes. The chilaquiles were flavorful and the portion was perfect. They were both topped with cream and queso fresco which sealed the deal. Both were delicious can't wait to go back and try more of they're menu.

    The Mexico City Breakfast Burrito
    Jen H.

What a great find for brunch after our son's soccer class! The homemade salsas were amazing, especially the Arbol (red) which was spicy & flavorful! I had the Mexico City burrito that had eggs, chorizo, pico de gallo, cheese, and avocado. One of the freshest & best burritos I have ever had. My son had his own breakfast plate with potatoes, scrambled eggs, and bacon. The breakfast potatoes were perfectly seasoned & cooked. Our female server was very nice, but the tall Latinx guy (older with a mustache) lacked customer service values. I politely asked him for a to go container, and he never came back (probably sexist). The restaurant only offered patio seating. I have to mention how great the coffee was too!

We needed a central-ish location for brunch on a Sunday morning, so we Yelped! to find this new spot nestled in Desert Shores right on the lake! There's a lot of parking on the weekend, because the offices are closed, so we had no issues with that at all. We did make a reservation, just in case, and we were seated right away upon arriving. All the seating is outdoors, and in Vegas in August, that's rough. The menu is pretty standard for brunch, lots of breakfast and lunch options. We did breakfast burritos, chilaquiles, and taquitos, but we also tried a smoothie! Prices are pretty average for the area, so no sticker shock, and the food was decent. Aside from sitting outside, it was an ok experience. We would visit again during a more weather-friendly season, for sure.

Love coming here! Best breakfast burritos and chilaquiles I've had in Vegas. Outdoor seating, great service and reasonable prices. Outdoor seating only but with ample heaters to keep you warm during the current cold weather. Oh yeah, they serve Thrifty's ice cream!

    Large Asada Salad Bowl

I'm visiting Vegas, and my local friends wanted a Mexican brunch spot--so we found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a shot. Now, this is their new go-to spot, and I'm definitely coming back the next time I visit. They start you off with chips and salsa, which were good, but I wish the salsa had a chunkier texture. We ordered a large choriqueso, and it was amazing--way better (and cheaper) than the one we had on the Strip the day before. The shrimp tacos were also incredible. I only ordered one, and honestly, I should have gotten more. For my main, I got the large salad bowl, and it was huge. Not only was it super filling, but it also tasted great--way better than anything you'd get from El Pollo Loco. The service was great, and the staff was super friendly. Overall, this place was a win, and I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking for solid Mexican food in Vegas!

We both ordered The Rosarito ($11.00 insane value), and it was truly exceptional. The crepe was filled with flavorful fresh ground chorizo, fluffy scrambled eggs, rich guacamole, and melted jack cheese. It was perfectly balanced! I would say it was savory, slightly spicy, and incredibly satisfying with that beautiful golden, crispy exterior and soft interior. It came with a choice of soup or salad, and we went with the soup which was a warm, hearty, and well-seasoned broth that complemented the crepe perfectly. We also had the chance to try The Sonora as a second dish to share. It featured tender carne asada steak, roasted tomato salsa, fresh guacamole, and jack cheese wrapped in the same delicious crepe. The steak was juicy and well-seasoned, the salsa added a bright, smoky kick, and together it created a bold, Mexican-inspired flavor profile that was just as impressive as the Rosarito. What made the experience even better was the incredible service. Our server, Lili, was absolutely phenomenal . She had amazing customer service skills and she anticipated our every need with genuine warmth, attentiveness, and a smile that made us feel completely cared for. We also got to meet Elizabeth, our talented crêpe creator, who clearly pours passion and skill into every dish. Jenn and her husband have built something truly special here. The quality of the ingredients, the thoughtful flavors, and the welcoming atmosphere make Crepe Expectations stand out. We will absolutely be coming back (probably tomorrow) and are already recommending it enthusiastically to all our friends and family. If you're in the Las Vegas area, head over to 9500 S Eastern Ave Ste 180 and you won't regret it. This is a hidden gem worth every penny and every minute.

Even with a busy crowd, orders were moving quickly, which I appreciated. The space itself is also a plus: a decent number of tables, plenty of parking, and even games like Jenga to keep you entertained while waiting. We tried a variety of items: the Marsh Brûlée Waffle, Banana Brûlée Crepe, Crème Brûlée Crepe, and a Nutella crepe with Oreo crumbs. The crème brûlée elements were actually the highlight--they were generous and had that nice caramelized sweetness you'd expect. That said, the crepes and waffle themselves didn't quite hit the mark. The crepes were thicker than expected and lacked that light, delicate texture that really makes a crepe shine. The waffle was similarly underwhelming. Another small detail--the graham cracker crumble was very chunky, which threw off the texture a bit; a finer crumble would've blended better. Overall, while the service and atmosphere were solid, the desserts themselves didn't fully deliver. With a few tweaks to texture and balance, this spot could be much stronger.

I decided to go back a third time, excited to have the same great experience after a fun night out with my husband. We had just left the Ryan Garcia fight and noticed that Wha's Crepe was open until 11 p.m. We headed over and arrived around 10:45 p.m. It was a bit of a drive, but we thought it would be well worth it. When we walked in, we were excited that we made it in time. However, when we asked the young man at the counter to take our order, he told us that last call was at 10:40 p.m. We were surprised, since the place was still open for another 15 minutes. We kindly asked again if he could take our order, explaining that we had come from a long way. He simply said, "No." There was no empathy or understanding--just a flat-out refusal. We felt turned away in a way that felt demeaning. This whole experience has made us not want to return.

SERVICE: 10/10 She's a very friendly and hardworking one woman show so please be patient. She makes every dessert and orders as fast as she can and it comes out really good so it's worth waiting for. I don't think she took more than 10 minutes to make our crepes and waffles... CAN'T GO WRONG WITH CAFE MONG!!!!!!!!!

I tried the avocado toast here and overall it was pretty good. The portion size was generous and…read morethe ingredients tasted fresh. That said, the toast itself was a bit hard, which made it difficult to cut and eat comfortably. It also took quite a while for the food to come out. I felt like other peoples drinks were prioritized before my order. On the positive side, the place is very clean, easy to find, and there's plenty of parking, which is a big plus. The staff was also really nice and welcoming. I'd consider coming back, just hoping for a slightly quicker turnaround time and a softer toast next time.
