So if there are empty tables for 2 and the party in front of you has 6, you are waiting until they sit. This place is just insane, in the best way. Their lines are long, the place is busy, a little old looking but honestly it's so SO worth it. Tip: get there late morning on the weekend to save time in line. Taking a look at prices you think it's pricey for a diner feel, but they are well worth it. $13.95 for a half omelette that's the size of your face! And only $3 more for a whole one. I love the generous portions and homemade cooking feel. The bacon is thick and delicious. My only suggestion, I wish there was more fruit when you substitute them out for the hashbrowns. The BLT is good the bacon or sausage breakfasts. Omelets are so big I can never finish them especially with the hashbrowns. After watching a 3 year old scarf down as much as he could of a cinnamon roll I ordered 1 to go. We were glad that we opted to share the dish as the portion was quite generous, in fact even though I only had 1/2 I could not finish my share! Enormous portions! I honestly don't think I've seen portion sizes this big. My brother ordered the half size (3 egg) omelette which looked as big as the full size (6 egg) omelette. The plate was literally overflowing with food. Hash browns hung off the sides of the plate. The biscuits were equally as big. Although, they looked more like a cornbread than a traditional biscuit. I got the three egg and meat breakfast which was good. The bacon was excellent and probably the best part of the breakfast! The hash browns were good but I'd like them more if they had been served with the traditional consistent crispy top layer. These bad boys were haphazardly tossed on the plate so the crispy parts were hard to get to. The good thing about the pile of spuds was the fact that it kept the heat in. The service was friendly and the food came out hot and pretty quick. There were no frills and no pretty presentation of the food, just a lot of food! What a great place! I've been to many places where they have huge portions, but the food is just okay. Here, the portions are enormous and you want to eat everything...you just can't. For starters the cinnamon roll is huge and delicious! It should have been a clue when the waitress said she likes to take one home for her family...because it could feed a family. I'm a pretentious gal who regularly eats at and enjoys all of the super hipster brunch places of Portland. There's your disclaimer. This place is gross. Not the food, the place. The carpet has probably never been cleaned. It's so extremely discolored and...just gross. The counters are gross. The tables and booths are gross. It's the least clean place I've ever eaten at. And guess what! I loved it. I walked in ahead of my group of 7 and asked for a table. They put a bunch together, and even though it took 15-20 minutes for us all to show up and they were as busy as I'm guessing they always are, I received no dirty looks. Great service all around. I love cinnamon rolls, so that was a no-brainer. Oh, man. This one was BIG. I know people always say that and I always roll my eyes. This one was HUGE. It's served on a dinner plate. It's 5.5 square inches, and 3.5" high, covered in a massive amount of frosting. The outside is dry, so don't waste space in your stomach on the outer layer. Go right to the gooey center. We also shared a 10" pancake. It was great! Super thick and fluffy. Not the best pancake I've ever had, sure, but definitely better than your average place. Hashbrowns weren't as crispy as I like, but they were delicious. Bacon was great and eggs were...you know, eggs. I'm docking a star not for the grossness because the ick factor is part of the charm. I'm docking a star because there are two single occupancy bathrooms, and they're gendered. That was just ridiculous. Allow folks to use whichever bathroom they feel comfortable using. All establishments should be held to that standard. By the way, my drivers license says I'm female, and I used their men's bathroom and got a dirty look from the man who saw me walk out. Food is just ok. Grapefruit juice is the equivalent of watered down country time lemonade....not much flavor and definitely fake. Hashbrowns were across between mushy and chewy. All I can figure is the undercook them and then left them under heat lamps? The breakfast sandwich tasted okay. Biscuits and gravy was more like opening a can of gravy and pouring it on a biscuit. I really did want to love this place I'd say it's more of a one to two stars on the food but didn't have the heart to give it a lower rating because the workers are really kind and attentive. Ok. I didn't want to leave a review but I gotta. This place is probably exactly what certain folks like: I had a friend who always said "I don't know I just really like bland food". If this is you, CC is for you. The portion sizes were just gigantic (three egg omelet is a HALF ORDER). There was no salt or pepper to be found in my food, let alone any other seasonings (paprika, garlic salt, onion powder, some herbs, these are our friends). The omelet was 17 dollars, huge, and the main seasoning was cheese. I would say it is great for families with picky kids and not a lot of money, but breakfast for 2 was $50. So it's not even good for folks on a budget. I'm sure this is what some people want, but I'd recommend looking elsewhere if you want something with flavor and good quality. read more

I loved my first time in... straight forward menu, good prices, excellent food... what more can you ask...
