Take my frenchie here to get his nails cut and service is great when they take him to the back and put him on the table to cut his nails. He's very high energy and placing him on the table is the best way to accomplish his nail trim. Sometimes staff will follow through with my request of placing him on the table, other times they won't and will cut his nails in the front which causes him to panic and makes him hard to control, they cut him and he bled once. I took my 5 year old sweet toy poodle to this place for the 1st time and they seemed nice then when i picked up my dog the lady that gave her back to me said my dog had been aggressive to her while getting groomed I was shocked because my toy poodle is the sweetest animal ! I was upset at my dog then when we got home I picked her up to put her on the couch with me and noticed that those people had cut her skin! I called them back and no apology but just that the cuts were not bleeding!! Yeah no wonder my poodle became aggressive with them ! her pink skin was being cut ! My dog was in dire need of grooming services and this place didn't disappoint. I only heard of this place from a friend who has taken her dog here for years. Overall I had a good experience. The place is small, clean and well-lit. The ladies in the front were friendly and courteous. At the end, my dog was happy to see me and he looked adorable with the bandana and sweater he had on. I have been bringing my two dogs (Princess & Fireball) here since 2000. My dogs practically grew up with them. Princess is a teacup poodle and weighs 3lbs. Fireball is a malitpoo and weights 5lbs. I literally trust them with their life. Sure sometimes my dogs may come back with a small cut but shaving can also cut your own skin. They really love the dogs that comes here. I moved to the area last year and I haven't had the best luck finding a dog groomer. I have a maltese poodle mix. Every place I took my dog to in Rancho was too pricey and charged me more than what I was quoted on the phone. I've ended up making appointments in my home town for whenever I come home for the weekend. I found this place and they were able to take my dog the next day. I really like that their drop off time is between 7-10am as to making an actual scheduled appointment. Their prices are great and they charged exactly what they quoted on the phone. Also, they groomed my dog just like I asked and they did a wonderful job! They were very busy and I still received great customer service (smiles, speedy, I was in and out!) I have found my dog's new groomer! Will be back! read more

I give them 5 stars! My dog is bad with other dogs around as she has been attacked to the point of almost dying. She wasn't in any distressed and I love the haircut. She was a happy dog when I picked her up. But best of all I needed services the same day and as soon as possible as my daughter was having an allergies to my dog's hair. sooooo this update is for when i brought my other dog (Bandit) here. I specifically told them that he's not good with dogs, but he's great with people. So the first time Louie (in the picture) got groomed it was at petsmart and he was SUPER happy when he saw me pick him up. Personally i didn't like the work they did so i looked elsewhere. I really like how they do grooming here, but Louie was kind of scared when i picked him up...ignored it. When i come back Louie did not want to walk in and the lady dragged him...i ignored it because i saw him as being a brat (which he isn't at all) so idk WHY i assumed that. This time i brought both Louie and Bandit. Louie is kinda hard to read so i assumed he was just scared of other dogs..but Bandit oh you can tell when someone made him feel bad. He's really playful and loving and he was literally DOGGING ME. The rare face he makes when i yell at him...(keep in mind, my dogs are my babies) anywho, they should know how to control a pet without making him be uncomfortable. The young lady there is great, she's super friendly ( idk about with dogs) and the older lady sounds like she HATES dogs....sooo i realized I want my dogs to go in and leave happy.. So after that i decided i'm going to try Doggie Couture. The only reason i put 3 stars is because 2 stars is "i've experienced better" but this is the 2nd place i've tried so i can't really say that...but also I rather pay more and have my dog treated with love. read more

I have been taking my dog here for over a year now (about every 2-3 months because I'm a broke college student) and the service has been excellent! Every time I go to Carousel, the employees are very friendly and they have been very kind to my pet. They bathe, groom, trim nails, and even throw in a little bandana for my dog. They are also very reasonably priced compared to other local grooming businesses. Overall, I really enjoy their services and always have a happy, well groomed pet when they are finished! read more

I used to really love this place but the last time I was there, I noticed some things that upset me. First of all as soon as I walked in my dog literally pooped and was shaking. I thought he just didn't like that loud blowers and decided to go ahead and have him groomed. When I picked him up he kept shaking his head and his ears stunk, I took him back in and asked them about it. They explained to me that they put alcohol in his ears to clean them and sometimes it loosens ear goop. So they wiped it out and I went home. I got home and about an hour later was petting my dogs ears like I always do and he let out a loud yelp, I took him to the vet and they told me that alcohol should NEVER be put in dogs ears and that when the groomer did it, they scratched the inside of his ear and it was infected. So needless to say, having my pet groomed made me spend over $100 in vet bills. I would not recommend this place anymore. They clearly don't know what they are doing. I hope this is due to new owners, I used to really like this place. read more

We took our Bichon there for 6 years and never had a problem. Jeri is wonderful and very friendly and kind. I also have a 10 month old goldendoodle who has gone approximately 4 times. The first couple of times were great. Jeri even commented on how she had no mats....the last time I took her Jeri wasn't there and a tall blonde girl (who had been bitten by a dog the day before..I wonder why??) came to the front and started reprimanding me about my dogs mats...I shouldn't have to explain myself, but we brush her all the time and take very good care of her....She continued telling me that she is going to have to be shaved next time and she was quite vocal and agressive. I had my bichon there as well and usually cost me 68 dollars for both. She told me it was $83 took my money slammed it in the cash drawer, and didn't even give me back change. Needless to say I was taken back and didn't say anything to her. My goldendoodle came cowering out and coundn't leave fast enough. This bothered me all weekend and I decided to call Jeri on Tuesday. She didn't work that day, but the same girl answerd (the tall blond) She asked if she could help me and I decided to confront her...I said yes, and started to tell her I was offended by the way she spoke to me but before I could say anything she said....Same to you and hung up on me!!! I hardly got anything out except it was her that offened me...she didn't even know why! She just hung up. Needless to say after 6 years of going to Carousel Pet Grooming approximately once a month with two dogs, I will be going elsewhere. I guess they have so much business they don't need mine! The ecomony must be wonderful there. read more

I would seriously give this place 0 stars if I could. I had made a same day appointment for my 10 lb dog to come in. I was pretty excited because I had heard some good feedback from some friends. When I had arrived I had told the what I assume was the owner that my dog is afraid of the tables since he had recently got neutered. She had told me that it would not be an issue. So I took my dog in and he was uncooperative a bit. Then the groomer lady said to me that she doesn't want to work on my dog simply because he was squirmy and did not stand still. So I offered to place a mouth guard on my dog just in case. Within 2 minutes of being in there trying to calm my dog down the groomer told me that she did not want to work on my dog because she was afraid for her life that my dog was going to bite her. Mind you that my dog is less than 10 lbs with a mouth guard on!!!! She had the nerve to tell me that she has the right to refuse service to anyone and that she didn't want to work on my dog. I wasn't mean or rude to her in any way and she told me that!!!! I was trying to be cooperative with them and that is what I get!!! So I just walked out furiously and told them I be happy to take my business elsewhere. Save your time, and go elsewhere! I try to support local business but this place really pissed me off! I have told all my family, friends, co workers to avoid this location. There big lack of customer service!!!!! read more

My only issue with this place is how long the wait is. I probably won't come here anymore because of my dog being there for almost 5 hours in a cage. How long the wait for the dogs to be stuck in a cage there is ridiculous. I'd rather go some where that has actual appointments where my dog isn't stuck at the groomers for longer than an hour. read more

Do NOT take your pet to be groomed at Carousel! They are butchers! My beautiful gray Schnauzer came home with a 3" gash on his right upper torso which took weeks to heal. Five months later his fur will not grow back in that spot. I brought him to Carousel because of the low prices, but regret having done so. I have since gone back to my previous groomer which charges more, but my pets come home safe and unharmed. Shame on these people for what they did! read more

Just took my poodle in and they did a fantastic job on him for a VERY reasonable price. The ladies are awfully sweet and its obvious they have a great passion for dogs. The only issue that you might have with this establishment is that they don't accept credit/debit cards and that since they run everything REALLY old school (pencil & paper records) you might just get lost in the books. That said, I fully recommend this place for your pet grooming needs and I will continue to bring my dog to them. read more

I love love love this place, I've been taking my mini toy poodle here for the last 7 years and every time i take her , I'm always greeted with a friendly smile. This last Tuesday , I took my dog in for a haircut and when i got her she was very excited and unfortunately pooped on my seat in my car. I went back to grab a paper towel but instead one of the employees came outside and started to help me clean it up and even sprayed to disinfect etc. Overall I wasn't expecting for any help just a paper towel given but just the fact she came outside and helped me was a very nice thing to do , great customer service. Both times so far its been a great friendly experience, there down to earth and seem to love our pets, which to me is first on my checklist, second there humble and honest, I always feel like a valued client and will continue to go there as long me and my dog feel were valued and appreciated, They do a great job on my Pit Bull, he always comes out happy clean and tale awaggin, As he is my Service Dog his interaction with people needs to be a positive one so his performance isn't hindered. Ive read a few negative comments on hear that even if true appear to me to be the exception and not the rule. We had just moved to our new house and my 4yr old toy poodle needed a grooming bad I saw this place so I took my little dog there the lady that took her in seemed nice to me so I left my dog there with out a worry, came back to pick her up and the groomer that handed her back to me said that my dog was agressive while getting groomed I was very surprised because my poodle is one of the most loving dogs & that has never happen with other grooming places that we have taken our dog to, so I said I was sorry about that to the groomers went home with a nice clean looking dog when I got home and went to pick my dog up to put her on the couch I noticed a cut on her inner thigh then another cut this one bigger on her ribs and another one on her leg! they were bright red and about to bleed! I called the place back and no apology they just said it was ok because no blood came out No Wonder my dog was agressive to them, they were cutting her none stop!! I felt horrible for taking my poor dog there. read more
