The campground felt more like parking along a dirt road than an actual campground. There was frequent vehicle traffic through the area at different times of day and night, so it did not feel quiet or restful. The bathrooms were very poorly maintained, extremely small, and uncomfortable to use. The shower stalls also did not seem properly cleaned or maintained. If you are only camping, I do not think it is worth the price. There also did not seem to be basic camper amenities. I did not find a communal kitchen, and even getting drinking water was inconvenient. The water fountains were difficult to use. Overall, the property felt neglected and under-maintained. The pool and soaking areas were also disappointing. The pools looked grimy, and the "silence" signs were not respected during my stay. Every time I used the hot pool area, people were talking loudly. The dry sauna was fine, but not special enough to justify coming here; it felt similar to a basic gym sauna. The wet sauna was also not worth the trip by itself. I also had concerns about safety and management. On one very hot day, a dog was left tied outside near a tent for a long period while barking, and other campers had to help care for it. I did not see management respond, even though staff appeared to be driving around the property. On the morning I left, another guest behaved aggressively toward me near my van, which made me feel unsafe. The front desk seemed mainly focused on payment and access control, not on guest comfort, cleanliness, or safety. As a non-white guest, I also felt uncomfortable and out of place here, and I did not feel that management was attentive enough to create a safe environment. This place may appeal to some locals or repeat visitors, but based on my experience, it was dirty, poorly maintained, uncomfortable, and not worth the price. I would not return and would strongly recommend checking the property carefully before booking online. DEFINITELY NOT FAMILY-FRIENDLY.

It was a little warm on the patio since it was 98 degrees outside, but they keep it relatively cool on this mostly enclosed patio. Our server was great. She was so friendly and fun to talk to. She helped us figure out what we wanted to order and checked in on us just the right amount. You can tell the food here is very fresh and homemade. We started with the Deviled Eggs, which are really special. I love how they serve them over a bed of crushed up potato chips as they give this dish some salty crunch. Next we had the Beet salad, which is marinated beets over a whipped cheese. The beets do have a strong vinegar flavor, but it's balanced out beautifully by the cheese. My wife ordered the Mushroom Bolognese, which was probably the best dish of the evening. This is an incredible, vegetarian dish that is so meaty without any meat. The finely diced mushroom sauce is so good along with the handmade noodles. Also, adding burrata to it gives it a perfect creaminess. I ordered the pork chop, which was also excellent and enormous. It did take me a lot longer to eat since it was a little hard to cut, the compote on top added a great sweetness, but I feel like it could've used more. Also, the polenta and grilled asparagus was awesome. Lastly, we got the Rice Pudding for dessert. It comes with a hazelnut crumble and a dolce de leche sauce. Normally, I feel like rice pudding has a kind of thin, milky consistency, but not this. It is think and has a wonderful texture. It is probably the best rice pudding I've ever had. The nuts give a satisfying crunch and the dolce de leche sauce is light and sweet. Disclaimer: we did order one dish we really didn't like. It was a special salad with endives and lentils. We wandered around Ashland every day, decompressing from the rat race, enjoying its lovely coffee shops, restaurants, and gorgeous Lithia Park with its trees, duck ponds, and stream. We shopped at clothing and jewelry boutiques, gorged on ice cream and candy, and chatted with locals. We even took a day trip up to snow-blanketed Crater Lake, Oregon's only National Park, an easy two hour drive. The main reason we were here, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (back after a two year hiatus due to COVID) took our holiday in Ashland over the top. We will be back.

DISGUSTING CITY PRACTICES SCARE AWAY VISITORS!…read more I parked in a city owned "Free" parking lot, all the spots where regular square spots in a square parking lot yet when I came back I saw a ticket on my windshield that said "Parking Citation for HEAD IN PARKING ONLY". These scam artists gave me a ticket for backing up into my parking spot instead of "head in". There was NO SAFETY ISSUE in this lot with backing up into your spot, the City of Ashland literally preys on visitors who don't know and miss the tiny sign that says "Head in parking only" since it doesn't make any sense and they use that as a way to just make profits for the city. This city is so worthless that they have a "no smoking rule" yet 3-4 people were smoking cigarettes next to our outside dining tables all the same time and I called the cops, 20 minutes later they still were smoking and no cops ever showed up to enforce the law YET these lazy SCAMMY SCUMMY Ashland loosers picked on easy prey, and are going around giving tickets for people that back up into their parking spots so they can make an easy buck. I was visiting here often but now I am so disgusted with their practices I'll keep my business away and so should you!
