Great experience getting carpet for the house from John and his workers at Carpet Corner. The positive takeaways - my guy John is really good with communication, he gave me an awesome deal, his installers did an excellent job, and they made sure to follow up to make sure I was happy with the job. So after I first contacted John, he stopped by to measure the space of the house, then later I went into the store to check out the selection he had, which was pretty extensive, and found the Shaw model I really liked with good thickness density and a three color flecked pattern. Few days later he brought the sample with the swatches to the house so I could pick out the color I wanted. One thing John did I liked was that he gave me options instead of pushing specific carpet based on price or by manufacturer, which was how a few of the other vendors I checked out did things. So John gave me a great deal, I called later to schedule the install, then his two workers came by on a Friday morning and finished the whole house by Saturday evening. Carpet looks great, its super plush, and he threw in the upgraded padding so its extra soft. It ended up looking a little grayer than beige, which I ended up liking anyway. So at this point I was pretty happy. But then there was an unforeseen plumbing incident at one of the bathrooms the day after the carpet was installed, and I was trying to dry the carpet for a few days before realizing the padding underneath was probably wet. I was dreading having to call John and asking him to come back out and having to pay more, but what ended up happening was he called me to follow up to make sure the job went well, and I told him what happened with the carpet, and he sent out his guys and replaced the wet padding the next day at no charge. This review is totally overdue. Mike helped me get a gorgeous flooring throughout my whole house when I purchased a new house. He gave me the best quote out of many quotes that I got. I even went to get a quote at a place where it had over 200 reviews and had 5 stars on Yelp but Mike gave me much better quote and his service and professionalism was unbeatable. The previous owner gave me a difficult time to see the place for measurement during escrow but I wanted to get the flooring done and move in as soon as escrow closed. But Mike was patient and dealt with my schedule changes without one complaint. And when the day came, he got the flooring and the job done within timeframe. He even did the molding. We were looking to change the carpet in two bedrooms and looked into a few businesses including Carpet Corner. We were helped by John, who was very friendly and helpful, and when we saw the palette that seemed like the right fit we arranged for John to make a house call and bring the samples with him. After measuring the area, he was able to quickly produce an estimate & verify that our desired shade & style was in stock. Within a day he was then able to schedule our install which was only about 7 days out. We signed the agreement & paid 50% deposit all electronically and we were good to go. The installers who showed up for the job were polite & efficient. In by 11:30am and out by 6:00pm. They were able to move some heavy pieces of furniture and put them all back in place unharmed. Notes: there is a service fee of $250 if you require the installers to move furniture that John told us when we first spoke with him. It was worth it. Also, they weren't the lowest quote we got, but they weren't far off all things considered. John was easy to work with, the estimate was more than prompt and scheduling was much quicker than the competition. Finally, their color & style selections are very good and if you're not looking to spend a fortune, they don't try to upsell you. Truly customer service oriented. John is an amazing professional! He takes the time to listen to what the client is looking for and provides options and recommendations to fit their budget, timing, etc but ultimately leaves the decision to them. He is objective and tries not to bias a client too much in one particular direction even if he might have a preferred option or opinion. I had a pretty challenging project where I needed a complete remodel done in about 3 months for a ~900sqft place that was a second/rental home. I solicited quotes from at least 5 different places and John was the only one who generated something in writing with a clear plan. Once the initial funds were deposited he and his crew got to work right away. I was located un Northern California at the time so I was worried about being able to monitor the progress of the project to make sure it would finish on time. But after working with John for about a week, my concerns were laid to rest. He was in constant communication and always sending me pictures of the progress. I trusted him to make calls on purchases when I was unable to return his call and he was blocked. I never felt like he was going to "get me" in the end with a sneak fee or something, but you never know until the end. However, when it was all said and done, John not only delivered on time but at budget. I have had friends and family go through remodels and I was not expecting to have such a pleasant experience or result! I honestly cannot express how sincerely grateful I am to John and his team. I first met John and Mike when I needed some wood florr surfacing and new carpets to our townhome that were were putting on the market. They did such a good job on the resurfacing of the floor while knowing that we only had a thing layer of wood to work with. The carpet that we also went with with the help of John looked great we were able to sell our townhome in 9 days! While working with them I found out that they are not limited to just carpet and flooring but they also do pretty much everything. So when we bought our new home couple of months ago and wanted to remodel our den and bathroom I didn't think twice but to call John back. We had ivory travetine tile installed on the floor and bathroom shower. We had the walls painted and added recessed lighting. This was all coordinated by John and the people that they contract with perform excellant work I couldn't be more happy! Just needed the metal transition bars replaced from where the carpet meets the kitchen and/or bathroom floor since some metal spikes were starting to protrude and kids were stepping on it. Amazing work! Excellent Service! One of our rooms had water damage caused by a broken water pipe, and the carpet was damaged. We engaged Carpet Corner for replacing the carpet. John met with us, and was VERY knowledgeable and gave us great suggestions for flooring. After removing the old carpet, they found out that floor the was uneven. The new flooring that we had chosen was not carpet - but tiles, and those could not be laid on an uneven floor. John owned problem and suggested evening the floor out, before they put in the new flooring. He undertook that responsibility as well. His team did a fantastic job with the new flooring. The team worked diligently and completed the entire effort in a short period of time. They were very good with cleaning up after. The room looks brand new now. Throughout the process, John kept us informed - every step of the way.
