We needed our stairwell carpeting replaced due to staining. We had at our disposal identical carpet from an adjacent room that was soon to be converted to hardwood flooring. So we asked John to remove the stairwell carpeting and replace it with strips of carpeting taking from the adjacent room. John was very helpful even though this was a small job and we weren't purchasing any new carpet from him. Regardless, he scheduled the job quickly and his staff did an excellent job in picking the best portions of the extra carpeting for the stairwell replacement. I can't say enough about Carpet Corner! Their level of service and response exceeds any experience I've ever had with a contractor. We were renovating our rental unit and Jahan (John) gave us some great LVP options for the floors. His prices were fair and his employees started the job quickly and did meticulous work. The results were beautiful. However, the story doesn't end there. Late in the process, we decided to do a gut renovation on the guest bathroom. My regular contractor was overloaded and not very responsive and we needed to get the unit back on the rental market. I remembered that Jahan also does bath renovations so I reached out. Mind you, this was over New Years weekend. He again gave me a fair price and his contractors started that Monday. They completed the job in 13 days flat! The job included gutting 3 layers of old drywall and plaster, new drywall, lighting, removing old tile and opening up the shower wall, and new lighting, tile and flooring. The difference was amazing and the work was high quality. The new floors and bath definitely helped us rent the apartment only 4 days. I wish the story ended there but unfortunately only a week after our new tenant moved in, the toilet line clogged and we ended up with the bathroom flooding plus water coming under the wall into the kitchen. We were terrified it would mean major mitigation work. After my plumber cleared the leak and cleaned things up, I called Jahan the next day. He came by a few hours later and reassured us that the damage wasn't so bad. Because the water came out of the toilet seal, it unfortunately got under the LVP so the brand new flooring had to be replaced so everything could be dried out. I decided to go with tile in case it happens again. We selected the tile that same day and Oskar, the tile guy started and finished the job the very next day. We were very lucky the floors had mostly dried and there was no damage to either the baseboard or drywall. I've never seen a contractor so responsive and quick. They minimized the inconvenience to my tenant and got the job done literally the day after I called. Try finding a contractor to get you out of a jam like that! Bravo to Jahan, Oskar, and the crew. When I wanted to replace my carpet with hardwood, I googled, searched, reviewed, pored over articles and reviews and read again. Decided to get quotes from 3 places. They were all great but decided to go with Carpet Corner because 1) while the prices were somewhat comparable, Carpet Corner's price included the baseboards which made them cheaper and 2) John was so attentive and recommended I come down to the store to look at various samples (the others just wanted me to choose based on what they brought). Mike and his excellent crew just finished renovating all 3 of my bathrooms and my laundry room. He and his crew always showed up when they said they would be nere. His pricing was very fair and he did not try to hit me with any unexpected increases. Our downstairs bathroom was a challenge as we removed the shower threshold and created a roll-in shower. Mike's shower door guy, Carlos, says that Otillio, the tile guy, got all of the angles perfect. I agree. No leaks. For our master bathroom we used a large format tile that required the floor to be re-leveled (you could feel the slope in our bathroom before). It came out perfectly. I will say that our bathroom floor SPC flooring and high end carpet install wasn't 100% seamless as we had some leveling issues with our sub floor and the carpet order was just short requiring a revisit, BUT, Mike and his team made sure that everything was installed perfect to our liking and was in constant phone and text communication with us. Sure, go ahead and consider others as I did before choosing Carpet Corner for our wood floors. But it will take a lot of time reading and charting everything on Yelp and elsewhere followed by on site estimates (four in my case. I seek high quality so for me it was worth the trouble.) OR just go ahead and call Carpet Corner and you will come to realize as the process gets going that you made a great choice. Ask for Jahan. Jahan's estimate was 15% less than two others and 20% more than one. Jahan provided important and/or correct information that the others had not. At the end I was amazed that Jahan's telephone estimate virtually matched the final cost. It ended up costing more only due to unexpected significant damage to the original floor that was hidden under a carpet. Jahan very kindly did those repairs at cost. His brother is probably great, but the classy Mr. Jahan was over the top terrific. Finding wood similar to our 1948 adjacent floor yet appealing to us was almost impossible but Jahan just would not give up and at the end called a supplier that turned out to have just enough left of the only grain and color I liked out of the 1000 (seemed like that) samples Jahan brought over. And he remained pleasant, actually unusually nice and even fun, throughout. Their man that laid our floor was really a craftsman and did our floor with literal perfection in the board positioning and including filling the very difficult to match 1948 damaged floor with new wood. There is no sign of the open (no wood) 18x18" or so areas now covered with wood. Also, the seam between the board ends and our irregular stone fireplace looks hand chiseled as the wood comes up against the stone with no gaps - genius work. He also was particularly nice, as was his cute little wife who assisted him. All in all, an exceptionally great experience with Carpet Corner. read more

But please don't do what I need and fail to either: 1) do a pack-out or 2) move at least most of the stuff out of the way. I felt awful. Wish I could give more stars, this was such a great experience from start to finish. Mike went over everything in detail before the job and kept in touch during the three days it took to complete. I bought a home that had brand new laminate planks along with sheet vinyl in the laundry room and bathrooms. I wanted them all replaced with floating waterproof vinyl planks. José and his son Josua did a wonderful job. José has been with Mike for many years and is really detail-oriented. They were very careful while moving the furniture. The prep also involved pulling up two toilets and pulling out the stove, refrigerator, washer, and dryer along with a large heavy corner entertainment center. They arrived either on time or early all three days and left late afternoon/early evening every day. If they took any breaks, I sure didn't see it. Really hard workers -- very conscientious. One of the attached photos shows contrast between new and old flooring and the other shows where the hallway merges with the bathroom and laundry room. Since the hallway had the original laminate planks removed, but in the other two rooms, the sheet vinyl remained, I assumed there would need to be a separation between them due to the difference in thickness.
