I drove 2 hours here to check out a Corvette. To my surprise the Corvette that I was looking for where no longer located here, but another 3 miles away at Carr Chevrolet. The services here were so amateur and snail slow. First the salesman Eric that was helping us did not know anything about what he was selling nor how to even sell it. I understand that he might be new, however he should know the basics of how car sales are like. He asked us for too much information, like how each of us needed two references; meaning four in total. There was also no negotiations about the price. He just kept going back and forth with paper work to his manager. We were dealing with paperwork for two hours. Not including the the extra few minutes after we came back from eating. In the end they made us do all that paperwork to not negotiate on lowering the price. A total waste of time and gas. read more

If I could possibly give them 0 stars I would. We came in here on Sunday (Superbowl Sunday). We were interested in looking at trucks but we were not necessarily buying that day. Calvin greet us at the door and asked us what we were looking for. We explained a truck and our price range. He then went and got the manager who is also the guy who does all the "numbers" I think is name is Justin or Jason or something like that. He said he had 1 truck that fit what we were looking for. They both showed us the truck and then had us test drive it with Calvin. Once we came back they tried to talk us in to the sale that day. We felt the price on the truck was high and we told them but we would need to consider it. Calvin played the what if game with us but once the manager came back he made it very clear those what if wouldn't work. They wanted 16,990 for the truck but the manager was willing to lower it to 15,990. We did have a trade so they spent a little time to put some numbers together and run our credit. The sales guy came back with numbers written on computer paper. It would be 15,990 for the sale of the truck and they would pay of the load on our care. They said max 5% (which was high for our credit) and then our payments were like 267 for 84 months. We told them we would not agree to anything until our mechanic checked out the truck. They granted us 24 hours with the truck as long as we agreed that if everything checked out that we would buy the truck. We agreed to this and decided to met back at the sales lot at 5:00- 5:30 the next day and they would have final numbers for us. Everything with the truck was fine but when we showed up at 5:15 they did not have our final number ready. At one point the manager asked if everything went well with the mechanic and we said yes but that the front speaker were blown and his response was "well that sucks". He had quite the attitude about it. After a hour of waiting they finally got us our final numbers.. Here is where things went down hill and fast. Yes they were paying off our load BUT they were rolling a portion of it in to the new truck loan WHICH WAS NOT DISCUSSED. The truck was already being sold to high but I let it go because they were paying off our loan. However that clearly wasn't the case now that they were presenting "final" numbers. I explained this to Calvin and he seemed confused.. He was not a part of the number conversations really so he decided to go get the manager. Once the manager came in it was clear he was not happy and he had a attitude about it. When he walked in he said " so we have a issue" I explained to him that there was clearly a misunderstanding. I mentioned what we thought was happening based on EXACTLY what they told us. He then said " well your car is not worth the amount of your loan and you know that" My response was " neither is your truck". He then proceed to tell me Kelly Blue book isn't accurate really but then showed me the a old quote for his truck using Kelly Blue Book? Really? He then said he was doing us a favor by selling us the truck cheap and that he didn't need to do the deal. I simply told him neither did we. He went on about how we were not going to find a truck for that price in that condition.. The thing is we can, we had, and we would again which is something I told him. Through the whole thing he had a terrible attitude. We left there and ended up a mile down the road looking at a truck that was a year newer, same miles, and completely loaded. The sales guy was upfront and extremely nice. Overall I will never ever go here again. Stay away from here. read more

Stereotypical salesman experience (barf). The dude who "helped" me talked a million miles an hour and just didn't listen to me. I also hated that he said, "I never like to start off by asking what your budget is because I just want to find the right car for you." I'm sorry, but I have a budget and you're not going to convince me to buy something more than I can afford...If you want my business, then try to find me what I want in my price range. I'm at a USED car, duh! When I first got there I said I was looking for a Subaru Outback, or Forester, or a Nissan Rogue, when we went in to the office to look at the inventory, he tried getting me into a Lexus. Seriously dude? I came in with a '97 Outback, do you think I want a Lexus? Then, as I was driving out another salesman stopped me and tried his hardest to get me to stay and buy something. It was freaking hot, I wanted to go, and this guy wouldn't give up. I would say to avoid this place. read more

I recently replaced my p.o.s. Chevy S-10 with a Toyota Tacoma that I discovered at Carr's Used Auto store. Ironically, I bought that S-10 from Carr Chevy just down Canyon road, and I never wrote a review for that experience. That's okay, the Toyota purchase mirrored my Chevy's purchase, so consider this the review for Carr Chevy too. I really don't have anything to point out that is earth shattering. They have a great selection of used vehicles, everything from the simplest budget sedan to a few sports cars (I think I saw a Corvette) to a decent selection of pickups. Lee, Marty, Cameron and Travis were all very accommodating to me. I am entirely satisfied with my pickup, and I'm pleased with the price and terms of the deal. That's really it! No 5th star because of a friend that complained about them recently and, well, I refuse to give Kuni BMW down the street a 5th star, so Carr doesn't get one either. It's my review. read more

If I could give this place a negative rating I would. I was going to buy a Toyota Celica from these guys about 2 years ago(I've held back the negative review) They were super nice at first then they got really pushy into getting me into this particular car. I ended up liking the car and I was able to get my payments to about $150 a month so I thought I would give it a shot. I took the car home and drove it for a day or so ,well the oil light started flashing (SURPRISE) I drove over to them and made them aware of the situation and called the lean holder LUCKILY Carr had not being paid on the loan yet... I told the manager that I needed this resolved or I was going to back out of the deal. They attempted to put die in the oil to see where the oil was leaking from ,after 2 days oil light came on again!! I came back and they said well let's take it apart and we'll get back to you (didn't offer a car to drive or anything) At that point I was fed up and decided to look for another car elsewhere, I came back to Carr to let them know I was backing out of the deal and that I needed my down payment back...well they didn't fully reimburse me and kept about $300 of my down payment and said they were charging me for the days I had the car... Keep in mind the only reason backed out of this deal was because I had no other choice due to their lack of honesty and lack of service not because I wanted to) The conversation got so unprofessional that I ended up leaving to cool off , came back the next day and for part of my down payment back. ( as I was leaving the bald manager with tattoos made a racist comment towards me saying "you Mexicans do this shit all the time" I have never been treated this way by any other company and I would like others to be aware of the lack of service and honesty! I found a car on Autotrader and headed to Carr to check it out. When I arrived, I was greeted by Edgar who took me straight to the car. I asked all the questions I needed and he took me inside where he gave me the keys to go back and check it out on my own. I went back in to ask to take it out and Edgar set me up with Juan who continued the friendly service throughout the ride along. He let me drive how I wanted and where I wanted. I wasn't restricted to a certain path that some dealerships force you to go on. I ended up buying the car and traded in my old car without any hassle. I feel I got a good deal and certainly appreciated my experience. When I need to buy a car again (hopefully no time soon!!) I will definitely head back to Carr. read more

Hi I bought three cars from Carr the first time I got a pretty good deal I bought a Honda Fit with high miles... it lasted along time... second time they kind of screwed me on the financing and sold me a bit of a lemon thought I thought I gave him one chance to redeem themselves and they sold me another lemon and a crappy warranty that's $2,500 for 30000 miles that's stupid... once you buy your car it's so long sucker... And they're not very sympathetic to your car needs until you need another new one... I will never go back to you dealership again... Lot of douchebags read more

I purchased a carr from this place and it was a great experience until my tags expired and I never received my new tags. When I first purchased this carr I was told to take it through DEQ and bring in the slip and they would get my tags. Never received them and made multiple calls I was told to come in and they would give me a trip permit. I went in today and some guy who doesn't even sale cars was helping me and he went in to talk to the person that sold me the car just to tell me sorry we don't cover that! Excuse me then why did I give u my DEQ slip months ago and u said that you would get the tags. So now I have wasted my time yet again. I have to go back through DEQ and then to DMV. Brought in my less than 2 year old car to get some work done. All cosmetic due to my car being badly scratched in a parking lot hit and run. I brought it in on Monday and was told it would be done that Wednesday. I didn't end up getting my car back for two weeks (10 days later than specified). When they finally called I showed up to see they forgot to remove a scratch. Not a major deal any other time but after the lack of communication in the first place this was just the icing on top. I ended up just hanging out in the waiting room while he buffed it quickly instead of risking my car being MIA again. Less than one month later my rocker panel is falling off (which is what they removed to paint). I come back and they basically tell me to leave my car and they'll get to it when they can... No estimate or anything. I'm pretty good about uncontrollable circumstances interfering with work but this place is just excuse after excuse and they can't own up to anything. My car was hit on Black Friday by another driver. I went through her Insurance to have damages fixed. I was referred to Carr Autobody by her insurance company. The insurance company called me on Christmas Eve to let me know according to their estimate it would only take 2 days to fix. So, they wouldn't cover my car rental any longer. Due to the time of year, repairs were taking longer than expected. Carr covered the cost of my rental after Allstate refused to pay. The experience with Allstate was horrific. Luckily the Manager of Carr was the only helpful party in this ordeal. I got my car back in tip top condition. They cleaned the interior and washed and waxed the exterior. Carr really did a superb job and covered an expense that the Insurance company should have! Where Allstate dropped the ball, Carr picked it up. Thank you! read more

Carr Auto Body in Beaverton is the worst auto experience I've had in 50 years. When I made an appointment 5 weeks out, I was told 1 or 2 days for a simple bumper-cap spray and replacement. When I dropped off the car Monday morning, I was told they had the part, and to expect 2 or 3 days. My car then sat outside in their lot for three days, because they did not actually have the part until Wednesday. On Thursday, after I called, they finally got around to it, and did a completely unacceptable paint job on the bumper. The color was way off, and it was textured from bad clearcoat. I asked that it be redone, and was told they couldn't get at this re-do until Monday. Now it's Tuesday, they have had my car for nine days, and AJ, the manager, won't even give return a call and commit to a date, much less a time when they might be done. I would not recommend this company to my enemies. They are incompetent, and have zero interest in customer satisfaction. No-one I know will ever take a car there. read more

They conveniently went out of business the day I drove 2 hours to trade in my lemon they sold me. I was told they would take my car in as a trade in. Since they were closing they sent me to Carr Nissan. Another horrific experience from the manager that was transferred from the used car lot to Carr Nissan! Supposedly this car was the only car I qualified for on their used car lot. Now I know why! The repairs are going to cost more than the blue book value on the car! I had only owed the car for 3 months before things started going wrong. The extended warrenty that I purchased for $2500 didn't cover any of the repairs needed. What a surprise!This company did NOT follow through on what they promised. They haven't heard the end from me yet! I don't trust car dealerships, and that goes double for used car dealerships. I've had nothing but bad experiences with them in the past and I was VERY hard on the sales staff, managers and finance. I asked a billion questions and was rude more than once. In the end, I walked away with a much better deal than what I intentionally signed for, a car that has done nothing but make me smile for the last month and a loyal customer to Carr. I waited until my first payment was due to post this to make sure everything went exactly as I was told and it has. I will recommend them to everyone I know that is looking and can truly say they will be treated as good as I was. Thank you everyone! read more

They treat you like a human being and understand things happen. Rick will be completely honest with you and not push something on you that you don't want. Extremely bad experience. We were very clear that we were only looking for cars but not ready to buy that day. The salesman Guss was nice to work with and we found a car we wanted to consider seriously. But the salesman, was running back and forth with offers and counteroffers for about 90 minutes. We could not accept the final price they offered so we were getting ready to leave. That's when the manager realized the deal would not work out, and he came out and yelled at us. He called our trade in car a 'piece of shit' and told his salesman to walk us out the door. So much for customer service.... I was rushed through the sale of a vehicle which they obviously were aware had been body-worked in addition to having several other issues. When confronted, the sales manager actually ducked out at the time he had agreed to meet with me to discuss the situation. I spent my time returning to their lot three or four times days after the sale. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and politely offered several opportunities for them to somehow remedy the problems, even partially. I wouldn't give this place the luxury of getting a -5 rating because that's too high, there is a salesman there named Alex who took it upon himself to completely lie to the bank about our income, which then would tell the bank that we make enough money to take home the car, we told him the expectations that we wanted out of the car and his response is, "if we're gonna do this sale we're gonna do it my way". I was absolutely disgusted by this man, he went on and on about his past relationships and venting to us about his personal life and that's not what we went in there to do, he then gave us a car that we didn't want, but we took it home because we needed something, the car turned out pretty decent, got us from A to B, but then we got a call about a month later saying that the bank did not want to give us the loan because our income and what was written on the piece of paper, did not match, which we were not aware that he wrote those numbers down in the first place, so I complained to the manager and he then decided to get in my face and try to tell me to leave, and his co worker, don't know his name, also don't care, started cussing me out, and I didn't budge anywhere, I told him that you can't lie to a bank and tell them we make double our income and then expect them to believe it, if you go into this dealership DO NOT, and I repeat DO NOT do business with Alex, I promise you, request someone else because he is a sleazy salesman, he will be completely rude and he will probably tell you lies and try to just get into your wallet, he does not care anything about the customer! I purchased a '96 Mustang from Carr Used Vehicles. The negotiating process was straightforward and fair. The vehicle would not start the next day and temp gauge was reading high. Without question Carr repair the vehicle (replaced the alternator) and verified the gauge was just out of calibration. I am fully satisfied with the vehicle and service I received. This one star rating is not for Carr as a company, but for Dennis the salesman. I bought a Nissan Altima and have had no problems with the car itself. However, I have been dealing with loan problems for weeks because he incorrectly filled out the paperwork in order to get my loan approved. Apparently he filled out my length of employment much longer than I have been working at my current job so that the loan would go through and he would receive his commission. I have been on the phone constantly with the credit union, trying to fix the situation that Dennis got me into. If you buy a car from Carr Used, DO NOT do work with Dennis. read more

If I could, I would give these con artists no stars! They took my information and told me they were going to run a soft inquiry to get some loan numbers for me. Instead these dishonest scumbags ran 31 HARD inquiries on my credit report!!!! Every single one of the loan inquiries they ran were for different amounts. I also had told them I wanted to do no money down, and was only interested if my payments were in a certain range. They came back to me every time with a down payment amount and a payment higher than what I said I wanted. Are you kidding me? This is not how you run a business. As we went to leave (fed up with their scam), they tried to get us into a different SUV The thing was infested with ants and the other salesmen were eating their lunch in it (this must be the norm, as most of the cars we went to look at had trash and cups left in them) Also, the guy helping us kept making comments about shady business ie. If the car we wanted was out on a test drive, we could sign the papers and buy it out from under the other guy, or how some of the cars on their lot had been hit by their own people, but they keep that from the prospective buyers and refuse to fix them or lower the prices. I will NOT be getting a car from you guys ever, and anyone who ever says they are going to you, I will be more than happy to share my story of regret with them. LIARS! read more

buyer be beware! only buy a car here if you absolutely love it and have done your research. the owners of carr automotive should ask themselve, "would i buy a car from this place." never in a million years would be their response. this is a very good example of your stereotypic used car lot. the sales people will do the old run back and forth to the desk managers office hidden behind a wall. i used to sell cars new and used. this has to be the most unprofessional place i have ever walked in. first, they will lie to you. on my mom and dad's graves i rest my hands and swear they will lie to move a car. here is what happened to us: i called in and spoke with jj -nice guy- told him we were lookin at another vehicle exactly like one they had listed. i asked if they could match the price. he said yes. i said we will come down and have a look. we actually liked the car. jj when we arrived directed us to alex. i have no idea what alex was on. the guy could not shut up and listen. nice aesthetic seeing his cigs and rockstar drinks on the messy desk. others in the office said he loves rockstar energy drinks. alex smelling like cigarettes, talking a mile a minute walked us out to the vehicle. the car had not been washed. it's oregon so we sort of let that slip. this is the only lot i have ever been on where the sales people do not wash them prior to showing. we drove it and liked it. we went into alex's office. alex, was very wide-eyed telling us everything about himself and more and nothing about the car. finally, i told him what jj said about matching. alex then ran to the managers desk to "see what they could do." he said, unfortunately the car had been discounted and they could not go any lower. this was lie#1. i would have been happy if they matched the price. so, jj was on this lie. i get it they want to get you in. with that said we did our homework on the car. lie #2, i noticed water spots on the hood and could see the minerals had sort of baked a bit probably from not being washed after rains followed by the sun. alex said they would come out no problem. i have seen these and knew they would need a mild buff and polish. alex said he would set us up with a detail. alex who now has walked away from us twice to smoke cigarettes ( we could see him out the doors smoking away- came back and started to tell us very rapidly about his ex wife. we ended up purchasing the car. it had a little less miles than the other. so now we do the financing thing. i already new they would try and extend the terms to make the payment look less. i was also a mortgage exec. for 6 years. i know how financing works. my wife told alex the car was almost out of gas. alex said he would give us a gas card. he did not. i asked about the detail and he said he would meet us over at their detail shop and buff it out himself. i would never let this guy touch my car. when he first saw the water spots he tried to rub them out with his fingers. not good for the paint since the car was very dirty. lie # 3 and 4 - i called jj and another manager two days apart. i was told by both they would have some one call and take care of this. we already knew they would not call. as i mentioned if you want to walk through a guantlet of smoking salesmen and really love the car then go for it but be very very careful. they do not care about you at all. they just care about moving cars that is it. they will lie to you and i promise you their word is about as good as a roll of wet toiletpaper. this is a shoddy bunch and the owners of carr automotive goup should be ashamed. discusting place. I would advise going to a reputable dealer even if you have to pay a bit more. you are simply a mark when you enter the lot. read more
