we showed up around 8:45 and they close 10.. I felt bad so we decided to sat at the bar. I know how it goes I was a server for 4 years but the bad attitude in this place is crazy to me. This may be a franchise restaurant but it is quite good. Had some reservations about a "chain" restaurant and I was very surprised. First of all the staff could not have been more friendly, helpful and genuinely service oriented, from the hostess to the server to the bus person. The menu had a good variety of offerings with moderate prices. My son and I both ordered house salads and an entree. We also received all the warm bread we could eat and my Diet Coke got refilled as soon as I had downed half of what was in the glass. Portions were enough to fill you up nicely and the food was tasty, well seasoned and the pasta in both dishes was done correctly, not soggy at all. Check for two salads, two entrees, soft drinks came to $38.00, not bad. Not your true Italian dining experience but good enough that I will return. I have eaten at Carrabba's from Virginia to Seattle. This is by far the worst Carrabba's that I have ever been to. Walking into the restaurant, you are hit with the smell of what I guess was old mop water. Then we get to the service. The dessert came first. The salad came and two bites into the salad, the chicken Bryan came out -slightly above room temperature. The server passed by several times AND still my wife had to ask for my drink to be refilled,which had to be brought by the manager. We finally gave up. We paid for our cold meal which the manager offered to "comp" and we left. The manager didn't understand that we didn't want the food "compped" -we simply wanted it done right. That was too much to ask. We suggested that rather than give us free food, provide better training to the server. But, as the manager was making excuses for the server, I'm guessing properly training the servers won't happen. read more

Our server Jake was excellent however, I can't say that for the entree. The chicken marsala was so overcooked, the chicken was actually dry. Three mushrooms do not constitute a Marsala wine sauce. We came here for my cousin's graduation dinner. It was decent - nothing too special or out of the ordinary, but nothing too terrible. I think the best part of dinner was the calamari and bread. The calamari was so lightly battered, and crispy. I loved that it had black pepper and the marinara sauce was also a little spiced up, so it didn't feel too greasy/heavy. The bread was served with olive oil, basil, sea salt and pepper. The bread was warm and I loved the olive oil mixture. Other than that, the entrees were only okay. We got the Chicken Trio - Chicken Bryan, Chicken Marsala and Rosa Maria. I thought the Chicken Bryan was TOO much. There was a huge chunk of goat cheese on it and all you tasted was the goat cheese. The Rosa Maria was too salty for me. But the Chicken Marsala was really good! So was the side of spinach.. it came with the garlic perfectly cooked - just the way I like it. We also got the chicken fettucine alfredo (one of the Founder's Pastas), which was also average. The service was really good and Russell took care of us really well. Chain restaurants are not really a favorite for me, so I didn't really have big hopes for this place. read more

Carrabba's has happy hour. I repeat, they have happy hour, and I thoroughly enjoy a good happy hour! And you can enjoy happy hour right at your table (instead of in the bar area, like most restaurants). My most recent experience here was during the 2015 holiday season. This was the best experience I've ever had at this Carrabba's. From the service to the food to the ambiance, I have no complaints. The service: I really wish I could remember our server's name because she was fantastic! Friendly, outgoing and on point the entire visit (so much so that we left her a 30 percent tip)! The food: Carrabba's serves warm, delicious bread with these herbs and olive oil. We always ask for more herbs because they are quite pleasing on the tongue. Remember that fantastic service? Our server added the extra herbs and it was perfect! She also recommended a few items that we tried: the scallops with spinach and wood-fired Italian wings. Those wings were saying something and when I server discovered that the scallops were on the small side, she had the kitchen make more. The drinks: It was happy hour remember? That means drink specials! Anytime I have a drink when I'm dining out, I'm always worried it will lack alcohol; not at Carrabba's! The bartender mixed the pomegranate martini perfectly. Overall, I usually always enjoy my meal at Carrabba's. I love the food (especially the bread and herbs). read more

Girl comes back while I'm trying to place the order with our order written on a piece of paper. She forgot to put it in. They put it in and I go out to wait. 30 minutes later I'm told 10 more minutes. An hour later it's still not ready. I ask for 2 tiramisus but no, can only do free soup to make up for the wait. Ask the guy to ask the manager for the deserts. Comes back, no tiramisu, just one apple pie. We cancel our order and I leave. We won't be doing this again. read more

Haven't been to a Carrabas in a long time and my other half didn't mind since he's still dufferingvfrom his teeth being pulled. This location off of Illif was busy to say the least. There were a few large parties and the wait was 30 minutes. It gave us time to unwind and chat a bit. I was surprised that 10 minutes went by and we were seated by the bar. Good choice! Two Sangrias and we were enjoying our evening . The best part was it was still happy hour and we got the larger size for the smaller size price. LOL,it was too cold for me otherwise I would have requested the pitcher. My spaghetti with extra,extra pomodoro sauce was pretty good. I wound up taking half home because they give you a small loaf of bread with olive oil and herbs to dip into and I ate too much . I was a bit full by the time my dinner came around. Our server was very attentive and made our evening pleasant. The bartender kept the drinks coming and had the diners at the bar laughing and having a good time. Overall, it was a good evening. I would like to come back on Sunday since Sangria is unlimited for $12.99. Let's see if I can talk my other half into it,lol. read more

This carrabas was terrible tonight, we arrived and I understand that there is a special wine and food tasting going on tonight. But we were seated, and for 15 minutes and the servers continued to walk back and fourth past our table like they had no idea what was going on. Not to mention conversing for loooooooong periods of time, heck the girl waiter serving the seniors next to us at the table stood there talking to he for the entire time about some history or whatever. Very little to say about this Carrabba's location, the quality and portion of the food has gone done quite a bit since my last visit ( before covid) I came in tonight 10/1/22 and enjoyed my app and my drinks until I realized that the managers and owners of this place do not care about the safety for their staff and their customers. I thought I was in chucky cheese the way children were allowed to run around the restaurant like it was their living rooms. Shame on the parents absolutely, the management of the establishment needs to take control of their restaurant. If it wasn't for our server (sadie) I would give this place 1 star I enjoyed my chicken cabanaro and the calamari but does not taste as good as it use to. And if you're going to run a restaurant make sure children are not running a muck when there are servers walking with heavy dish trays. That's a problem waiting to happen . Wow, the food quality at the Aurora location has REALLY gone down hill. So has the customer service! We picked up our order and had requested extra sauces for our pasta when placing the order. Upon receiving our order, we noticed that the requested extra sauces were not in the bag. When we brought it to the attention of the carside girl, she proceeded to harass us and "needed to see our receipt" before she would give them to us. The pasta was gummy, the shrimp were over cooked, and part our our order was wrong. This used to be a favorite with us, but we probably will never go back. So Disappointed!! read more

It has been years since my family and I had eaten at Carrabba's and we decided to try it again, as we were in the area. I cannot recall the last time I have been this disappointed in a meal. We each ordered a side salad with the house dressing. The salad arrived with wilted brown lettuce leaves and so little dressing, if any, that we were eating plain lettuce topped with a bit of Parmesan. My dad ordered the chicken masala which was decent in taste, although $19 for a 6oz piece of chicken and a side of broccoli is a horrible deal. I ordered the chicken trio with a side of asparagus. The photo looked nothing like what you receive. The point of the chicken trio is to have three separate chicken choices (chicken masala, chicken Bryan and rosa Maria). When it arrived it became evident it was ONE chicken breast cut into three small pieces, each with a different topping. One chicken breast and one soggy side of asparagus (an upcharge) for $26?! Not to mention the inside of my Chicken breast was still pink and I was only able to eat a small portion. Lastly, my mother ordered the Alfredo pasta. The noodles were cooked improperly and they arrived in one giant clump of noodles that were stuck together. The alfredo sauce was non existent, so we asked for more, which, sadly by the time we received more alfredo, my dad and I had already finished eating and her meal was cold. The alfredo sauce arrived to us looking like water with a splash of milk added. Sadly, it tasted exactly the way it looked and she did not eat it. We mentioned that the pile of cold noodles topped with water were sub par to the waitress and to add insult to injury, she ignored the statement only to ask if we wanted desert. Of course, we declined. This experience was enough to solidify to all three of us that we will never attempt a meal here again. OMG - worst experience ever. Should have been warned by the other reviews, but had fond memories of my first mussels in wine sauce from this restaurant years ago. Sadly, the kitchen staff was ... not the same. Had to request the wine sauce for the mussels, then it was oddly & cloyingly sweet. The broccoli side was overcooked & scattered on a over-large plate. But the pizza was the most disappointing. It looked good when it first came out, only missed the requested pepperoni. The waiter returned quickly with a replacement pizza, stating "they had one in the back" (??), but it looked like a shrunken, twice-baked pizza with loose pepperonis just tossed on top. That was last straw - we declined the burned pizza, paid and left for another restaurant. Not likely to try anoother Carrrabba's again. read more

Normally I love coming to Carrabbas, as it is a go-to for me and my husband when we want an guaranteed good meal. However today I was quite disappointed in what was presented. We came soon after they initially opened and the place was not busy. The waiter was nice and kept a steady flow of drinks. The issues we had came from the kitchen. My husband's side dish of penne pomodoro was cold. I requested mashed potatoes and what I got was mainly chunks of potatoes with barely any mashed. Now I can appreciate some chunks but not when every bite is just hard potato, some of which were as long as my finger. I had the Tuscan Grilled Chicken which came out burnt on the bottom. Instead of salad I requested broccoli and only received what appeared the be the dregs of a batch made, with no full pieces just little break-off pieces that was luke warm. This is not my first time ordering this meal so I know this is abnormal from what is normally presented. It seemed like the pasta and broccoli were leftovers from yesterday based on how they were served, and the rest they just didn't care how it came out. The only reason this score isn't lower is because the waiter was good, he took care of us, and I know that this place can do better. read more

At one time, this was one of our favorite restaurants to eat at, but it seems over the last couple.of years to have gone downhill quickly. This last visit this evening, my wife wanted to celebrate her birthday here. We went in and was surprised to find out it was not that busy with several tables and booths opened. Asking for either places, the hostess left to check what was available and came back offering us a booth in the bar area. We decided to go ahead and take this, however we now feel this was a big mistake. To me, waiting is a big issue and I actually check the time when we are seated. We saw a couple of wait persons running in and out, but at the 8 minute mark, my wife was getting visibly upset that we had not even been approached to ask for a drink order. She got up and stated we were leaving, and this was not a problem for me. Restaurant was fairly quiet as the crowd inside was low, but if they are either this short staffed and several open (and cleaned tables) cannot be used on a Saturday, then something is wrong. Wish they would consider thinking that their customers actually need service to pay the bills. While we were leaving, I noticed a few other customers who had been seated before us did not have drinks (and silverware was still wrapped, so no meals either) also, making me think they just do not care. If you do not care about your customers and making sure they are taken care of timely, then we do not feel you need our business either. You used to be good, but now...not too sure anymore (and I really had my eyes on that veal marsala). read more

I had the Pollo Rosa Maria and Mann.... when I say bomb.com I mean the elegance of the meal was appropriate for a chill Friday night. The chicken was full of savory juicy flavor,the The spinach would have made Popeye (the cartoon character) extremely proud if you know what I mean lol but overall i'll give it 4 to 4 1/2 stars. Why you ask? I felt that the presentation of food could have looked better. But it is expected and tolerable for a family oriented classy place. read more

Was looking so forward to taking my family to this restaurant again and without fail, it was a great disappointment. Lots of friendly employees but the food was LACKING to say the least. The food looked delicious but was cold as hell as if it had been sitting there the fettuccine sauce was watery instead of nice and creamy as if the sauce had taken a sabbatical. Was going to get dessert but was passes for fear of more disappointment. We go to this location practically once a week for their happy hour, which is the best! You can always tell when a restaurant has great management because their staff is excellent, fun, happy to be there and competently provide exceptional service- which is what you can expect here. The food is always fresh and amazing, calamari the best anywhere and half price during happy hour. The mussels are wonderful and also half price during happy hour. The Chicken Marsala is our favorite entree. Carla and Cole are the best bartenders in town, hands down! No matter how many people we bring along, we all have a great time. Great food, friendly staff, nice patio! My wife and I have been here for lunch several Saturdays this summer. We keep coming back because the food is ALWAYS good and the service is ALWAYS terrific! The staff is very friendly & helpful and makes this place feel like a family-owned restaurant even though it's part of a chain! We've got a Service Dog in-service & 1 in training and they love coming too because they're always welcome. When you first walk in, the restaurant you're greeted by a foul smell. We were then seated, none of the wait staff smiled. We were a large party and our waitress seemed like she couldn't be bothered. We placed our orders without any recommendations. I ordered the Alfredo with chicken, side Caesar Salad. I couldn't finish my salad because it tasted like fish. We had a very nice dinner here, a couple pizza, the lentil and sausage soup, the caprese salad (huge! Tasty tomatos!). And finished off with Tiramisu. Really very good, all around.
