The sausage was THE BOMB and better than anything else on the plate even though the shrimp and crablegs were seasoned amazingly! Honestly the whole plate was delicious! But I'd come back for just a sausage. I mean it was spicy and DELICIOUS!!! This place can't hold me in a "trap" but I think it might! This is going on my fave list!! Plus the older gentleman at the counter was warm and welcoming. He said it was a busy evening but remembered my order when I left my ticket in the car. Omg, omg, O-M-G, the food here is amazing. We thought the restaurant was a sit down but no matter, it still tasted great in our hotel room that was 30 minutes away. We splurged on the Big Dog Platter and it did NOT disappoint. Staff was very helpful and friendly. They were kind enough to give us dessert for hubby's birthday. We will be back for sure. This spot has been in my bookmarks on Yelp for a few months. I thought today would be a great day to support a black owned business for lunch. After reading a few reviews about the difficulty of finding this spot, I called to ask what they are located next to. I was told they were near McDonald's and in the same parking lot as One Price Framing. Based on this information I placed One Price Framing into my GPS. I can see why people would say it's hard to find-- there is no sign! I really don't understand why any reputable business would not invest in themselves and get a sign. Once I parked and Walked into a building that I had to assume was the correct location, I was greeted by a young man. He took my order. I asked for a shrimp plate and a lobster and shrimp plate. I had only previewed the menu on yelp pics- they are incorrect. On yelp it shows the lobster and shrimp plate as $23 it's actually $28. I attempted to order some seafood mac And cheese but was told they did not have that today. Can I be honest??? I HATTTTEEEEEE when restaurants do that. It's unfair for you to advertise having something and not have it available at all times. I mean did someone just wake up this morning and decide they were not in the mood to make the Mac and cheese? Imagine missing out on a business opportunity because you did not have Mac and cheese. Maybe I wanted to try it to see if I was interested in ordering it for an event. Ok- I digress. After placing my order and paying I was instructed to sit in my car and the food would be delivered to me. The gentlemen did ask which car I was in. This is where it really gets bad. I got in my car at 2:09pm. I am certain of this because I text a few friends talking about the restaurant not having signage. I waited, waited, And waited some more. At about 2:40pm I was frustrated and disappointed. I walked in the door and the young man said " you're up next- give me about another 15-20 min. " SAYYYYYY WHHHAAATTT??? ( what I was thinking in my head) . However, I remained calmed and walked back to my car as I felt my blood pressure rising. Another rant-- I don't understand why people can't respect people's time and show appreciation for people patronizing their business. I strategically picked this place to eat at because it's black owned. The thanks I get is a 50 min wait with a not genuine thanks and sorry for your wait. How sorry are you really? Sorry enough to pay me back for the time I sat waiting?? Of course not! Just so you know, I received my order at 2:59pm. If I was told up front that it would be nearly an hour for my food to be prepared I would have said thanks but no thanks. Honesty, and transparency go a long way. The food was hot and fresh, and very flavorful. The lobster was a little over cooked for my liking, but other than that I have no complaints. The food is good. I have to give credit where it's due. I ordered the trap lord plate which has a little bit of everything. There was 1 cluster of crab legs, 1 lobster tail, I think about 6 shrimp, 1 corn, and some sausage and potato.
