They told us that we would be seated in 20 minutes, and it was over an hour. No apologies. It smells awful. Do not recommend.

I attempted to order food from this location via uber eats. On the app I could see my driver had arrived and was waiting at the restaurant. Order was delayed, then delayed again and again. Now a 40 minute delay. I called the location and the first person I spoke with didn't know where they were, what was happening and transferred me to Autumn, who has clearly never been helpful or problem solved anything ever, probably not even simple arithmetic. When I told her my order was delayed, Autumn said she would check on it. Waited a few minutes, she came back on the line and has no idea what I was asking. After I reminded her about my delayed order, now an hour, she said my order had been stolen, this was happening a lot lately and that this was "now on me," and there was nothing she could do! Seriously crime is that bad people are hijacking uber eats drivers to steal pasta?! And I'm expected to believe this? When I asked Autumn if they could remake my order again I was told there was nothing she could do and this was no my problem. Perhaps this dog eat dog customer service mentality is the only way Autumn can survive in this spaghetti stealing environment?! read more

My wife and I had a dinner party with 17 of our friends here last night. This is something that we do throughout the year at different restaurants around town. That being said, Carrabba's was absolutely one of the best experiences that we've had. It's Friday night at prime time and they never missed a beat. For start to finish the service was excellent and the food was great as well. Everything came out together which is hard to do and it was all correct. Now, the only thing that I can say is the Cesar salad was a bit disappointing last night. It actually didn't seem that fresh. Job well done Carrabba's and we can't wait for the next time. read more

Went at 8 PM (closes at 10 pm) and host seated us in a booth next to another table. After about 10 minutes a waitress brought food to that table and glared at us. My husband smiled at her and we assumed she was taking our order next, but she continued glaring, went to the host, and had a big discussion with him while looking at us. He then went to a second server, who also looked at us and shook her head. They're doing this openly in front of us as we watch, so we got up and left after about 15 minutes with no one ever approaching the table. I went back in to talk to the manager, who seemed to know what was going on, but didn't say a word, just listened to my rant without offering any explanation. There were several servers standing around the kitchen area, and only 3 or 4 tables in the whole restaurant, so I don't know what the problem was, other than they wanted to close early, in which case they should've locked the doors. read more

Delicious food as always and in spite if the manager making a mistake by pulling all of his wait staff aside for s LONG conference on how to seat a large party, our waiter managed to make up the lost time with attentive see and a winning personality! I am not usually one to complain because I myself am a server, but I came in yesterday for lunch and was one of two tables in there. The server seemed to be intoxicated or overly high and could barely keep his eyes open, probably why he didn't give us his name( around 30-40 years old short hair and facial hair I think). I ordered a Prosecco which I NEVER got, and the food was mediocre at best. I will be back just out of hopes that things get turned around. read more

Eaten here twice and has been delicious each time. The first time was with a group of four and our waiter was so nice!! He made lots of conversation with us and one of the guys I was with jokingly told the waiter it was his birthday and even told the waiter he was joking but after we finished our meal he brought us two slices of cake (big enough for two of us to share one slice) for free! read more

I went to Carrabba's last Friday afternoon at about 3:00 for a late lunch/early dinner with a friend. At that early hour, we were seated immediately, and our server came right over to take our drink orders. I ordered the Chicken Marsala, which was the best I have ever had! I ordered a glass of chianti, but our server told me their house red blend was on happy hour if I wanted to try it, so I tried it and loved it! It was very leisurely and relaxing at that time. I'm sure later in the evening things pick up, but I think it would be worth the wait. I will definitely be going back. read more

Food was great! Our server, Hannah, was awesome! I definitely recommend coming here. I got three of the small plates, which is perfect if you are small like me. I got the meatballs and ricotta, really tasty, and Apricini, which is like little balls of fried risotto and fennel sausage, delicious! The small plate lettuce wraps were ok, didn't expect the sweetness. We also got the minestrone soup, really good too except it had too much cabbage. Stay Away! Dangerous food ahead. It has been years since I have been to a Carrabbas and last time it was pretty good, so the wife and I thought we would try this one since we are passing through Mobile on vacation. The waiter was a pretty good guy. He had a great sense of humor and was very reassuring. I shared with him that I have horrible restaurant Karma, and I never order steaks out because I can never get them done like I order. He assured me that I was in the right place at the right time. So I ordered the Johnny which is a Sirloin Steak and Chicken with goat cheese and sun dried tomato puree on top. I also got a side Caesar Salad. My wife ordered a Caesar salad with shrimp. The problems started with my salad. When I opened up the napkin and took the eating utensils out they were covered in dried food. I had to ask to get some clean silverware. Then there was the salad itself. It was completely drowned in dressing and was so salty I had to spit it out on the plate. I am not sure what the deal was with the salt but I had to send it back. Again the waiter was nice and offered to get me something else, but I really wanted a Caesar salad so I told him just to make sure the main meal was good and we would be all good. Unfortunately the meal just kept going downhill from there. The main plate came out and I cut into the meat. I had ordered the steak well done but when I got the steak it was medium rare. Not even in the ballpark. In many ways what was more distressing was the chicken was still pink inside and was also clearly undercooked. At this point I just sent the food back and asked that it be taken off the bill. Even at this point I would not have been happy but I would not have left pissed off. Unfortunately at this point the manager felt he had to get involved. He came over and barked at us and was trying to be intimidating in to getting me to order something else so he could charge me for it. He spent all his time telling me "we make more steaks here than anywhere in Mobile and we never get them wrong." Well I got news for you. You got this one wrong so why do you keep telling me you are perfect? Or he would tell me "I can slap a steak down and have it well done in 4 minutes!" Well I have no idea how you can do that short of microwaving the steak, and I am not paying $23 for a microwaved steak.The arrogance of the manager was staggering. I really got the feeling he felt we should pay something for just being in his presence. Not to mention that when I tried to bring up the undercooked chicken he just kept ignoring that. I really didn't want to get food poising and that is what I assume was on the horizon there. I had to argue with him further to get my meal removed from the bill. I really felt at this point that I shouldn't have had to pay for a thing, but we did pay $20 for a shrimp Caesar salad plus a drink. I really felt I got royally ripped off. I cannot imagine I will be going back to this chain any time soon. The ironic thing is if the Manager had not been a douche bag I would have been open to trying it again. After all anyone can make a mistake. But it takes a special kind of jerk to brow beat a customer for their own mistake. read more

Good overall, but a little mixed on this trip. Have always found Carraba's pretty enjoyable with respectable Italian fare for a chain and normally pretty decent service, but have not been in awhile. 5 minute wait on a Friday night was kind of a nice surprise. Got a booth for two right away. Drinks good. Appetizer (bruschetta) very good. My entree, Filet Bryan - fantastic, with sautéed spinach - great- and spicy macaroni- ok, but nothing special. Wife had Chicken Sorentino, which she said was lousy, kind of a gooey mess. Service was about a B+ or A-. We didn't eat the bread, which looked good, so we asked if we could take it home; waiter said it was easier to get us another loaf (?) and wrap it up with the wife's unfinished entree, which made no sense, but then failed to do it. After a total train wreck with a fillet two weeks ago I decided to give it another try New Year's Eve. Had to wait 20 minutes at our table just to get watered down mixed drink that I sent back. Our server was a scatter brain and delivered our bread to the table with no oil for the seasonings. Then to top it off one of my guests finds a massive hair in her food!! The so called owner stepped over to make more excuses about the bar having issues but never offers a complimentary drink, just sucks up and moves on...oh well, won't be back to this location again. Worth the drive to Pensacola to avoid this dive with an owner that has no clue how to run a restaurant! read more

This is the third time at this location. Three strikes and you are out. The service was Ok but the server we had was the only one for the whole bar area. The Caesar salad was cold but was mainly white lettuce and had some brown edges. As the meals came they were slightly warm . I can eat anything but my wife sent hers back I guess reheat ! Try warming the plates like other restaurants do. I also do not understand why a restaurant of this size on a slow night would seat everyone right next to each other. The table of eight men that you seated everyone next had gotten loud and the profanity was to much ! Spread groups out ! By the end of the meal the server was cold and seemed put off! Had to send the Pollo Rosa Maria back twice to get it right and when it came back the third time the chicken was undercooked. Manager tried to hold his ground that it was prisciutto....there was no prisciutto! I get this meal every time I go to carrabas.....this was awful....fail. read more

HORRIBLE Customer Service!!! We were in town for work and decided to try Carraba's for the first time here in Mobile... Let's just say we were definitely not impressed!!! We were initially seated in the back past the kitchen area and away from every single person in the restaurant. We felt like we were not being treated like everyone else and like we were frowned upon. We were eventually able to be moved to a booth. We ordered and then we're unimpressed with our salads and food. The lasagna was portioned like an appetizer and the famous chicken parmesean was not a very appetizing plate. It definitely did not look anything like the menu picture. Good chicken but not appealing. We were not offered grated cheese, we had to ask (everyone else were asked as soon as their food arrived) and when she brought it out, she had said it was not working correctly and instead of her switching it out with a different one, or tapping it on its side, she proceeded to open the grater and rotated the cheese with her bare hands (like 10x). I was like "No she didn't!"... We were in awe that the service was so horrible & had discussed how we were being treated and then I apologized to my fiancé about having such a bad experience and I had said I would pay for it once we received our check. Our server came to the table to remove plates and pick up my card without ever asking if we wanted dessert, if we needed anything else, or if we would like our check... She never asked, she just picked it up and ran my card. I never even saw the amount I was being charged until she brought my receipt. Oh did I mention the Margarita, the first was okay, then the second was 3/4 full. I've been to 46 states while traveling for work and we eat out all of the time and I've had both good & bad experiences at different places but this was the overall worst experience ever! read more

Taking off a star for two reasons: 1 there was some dried up food on my menu, 2) I ordered a creation meal -classic and new and the menu states it comes with salad or soup AND a side so i chose Fettucini Alfredo and ate a few bites, it was good but i really just wanted the protein. When the bill came it had a $2 up charge and when I questioned it he aaid it was the Fet Alf... Now the good stuff: the bread was hot and fresh and the seasoned olive oil or dipping was excellent. We started with caprese salad and I have to say it was one of the best ever and iIhave lived in Europe! My husband had a salad as a meal which he scraped the bowl clean so guess it was good. Like i said above i had the creation thing so two samples of entres: proccuito (sp?) wrapped pork medlions in chianti sauce and chicken bryan with fantastic creamy goat cheese and sun dried tomatoes and OMG the flavor exploded in my mouth! Great food but service was a little slow considering the place was practically empty.

I haven't ate here in years because south Cali doesn't have any. I just knew I was going to enjoy my visit since its been so long. Well service was great and the food came out in a timely matter. But once my app came out the shrimp diavolo and they were over-seasoned soaking in oil. I picked all of the breading off. Next my salad came and the lettuce and they tried to cover it up by placing overdressing it. Now my salmon was final. It looked great but as soon as I cut it, it went from to good to bad. The salmon was under cooked and over seasoned with lemon pepper. So I sent it back and all the did was reheat the same piece of fish, I was so upset. It's obvious they don't know wat they're doing in that kitchen. The waitress was really nice though so I didn't take it out in her. But I think this will be my first and last at this location. read more

Went here for dinner for the first time Saturday night. The only good things I can really say are the waiter kept our drinks full, & they gave us a free appetizer.. which is why I didn't complain more than I did. My first problem was I ordered a salad with my pasta and asked what was on it, I asked for no carrots. Well, the salad came with carrots, no big deal really I know mistakes happen but since i dont eat carrots and there was alot, I asked if it could be fixed. Server took it back, fixed it, & brought it back. About 30 seconds after I received my salad our food arrived which brings me to my biggest problem.. my food was cold. Like, really cold. Everyone else in my party had steaming hot food but mine felt like it had been sitting out for a good amount of time. I really didn't want to say anything because I'm definitely not that type of person but i didnt want to pay $17 for cold food either so I nicely asked if they could just warm it up, I told him I didn't want anything free, I didn't want it remade, just warmed up. When he brought it back I told him I was sorry & I hate to be that person. Then he says... well you did get your food right after your salad so that's probably why it got cold. What?? First of all I wouldn't have got my food right after my salad if my salad would have been correct the first time. SECOND OF ALL, MY FOOD WAS COLD WHEN IT HIT THE TABLE. I TOOK A BITE AS SOON AS I GOT IT. DONT BLAME ME. And in the end, I got a warm (probably microwaved) bowl & still not hot pasta. Oh well, I just got a to go box and warmed it up at home. I still tipped my server 20% and my food was good when I got it home but I won't be back. I'll stick to Roma Cafe for my Italian food. read more

Consistently very good. servers are always among the best in town. We like to sit in one of the cozy booths. Spiedino de Marie is super. They always bring hot bread and their own concoction of dip..yum. They don't take reservations but you can call ahead and get on the list; it can save you 15 or 20 minutes. read more

Chain..dirty...waiter very odd. The food was marginal at best. Standard tasting sauce, spaghetti came with no meatballs so he takes back throws meatballs on it and adds even more sauce. I had my food delivered. The Chicken Trio and the grilled asparagus were burnt and tough as shoe leather. I ordered chicken soup but received vegetable soup. The bread and dessert were okay. The salad had maybe 2 croutons and a small pinch of cheese and was very unappetizing. I'm a Dine rewards member and asked that my discount be applied. October 4, 2014 Visitng Mobile area while attending Bayfest, we chose to have lunch at Carrabba's. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Our server, KIM, was AWESOME and very friendly and very experienced. She knew what we needed before we asked and made sure we had everything. We order the calamari for an appetizers and it was delivered, fresh hot and was yummy. For our entrees, we had the Pork Chop Marsala and Conchiglie Ai Formaggie with chicken and they were both fabulous. The salad, soup and bread with dipping sauce sides were also very delicious. The portions were so large we had leftovers and our outstanding tiramisu made with marscapone cheese...., and Kim made sure items were packed with utensils and napkins so we could enjoy later at our motel. This was a very nice dining experience and we would definitely dine there again if in the area. read more

Went to Carrabba's on July 12, 2016 for lunch. I had the Tuscan Grilled Sirloin Marsala and my wife had the Tuscan Grilled Sirloin. Both steaks were cooked to the correct doneness and the sides were good. Our waiter checked on us constantly and kept our drinks filled. Definitely would return here in the future. read more

Went on a date here and experienced some seriously mediocre Italian cuisine. I love white sauces and my partner loves red sauces, but we were both pretty underwhelmed here. The service was a little slow, but it was a busy night. The meal was just the let down. It was just not very tasty. I wish it had been because I was so excited about it. Definitely going to stick with people who know the correct pasta for a sauce and the proper way to make a sauce. Just disappointing. read more

Had been curious about this place. Took me about a month to give in and try it out, From what I experienced here food wise, I should have waited longer. One thing I noticed about the decor is it seemed not to go with the restaurant liked I had hoped. My food was average and I felt overpriced. Took my wife to this Carrabba's for our 40th anniversary because this has always been her choice for special occasions. Tonight was so disappointing as we ordered drinks during happy hour only to find out later that I paid $4.50 EACH for 2 skinny pilsner glasses (probably 10 oz.) of domestic draft beer, are you kidding me? Not to mention $30.00 for a middle-shelf bottle of California Cabernet that we buy all the time for less than half that price! I ordered Sirloin Marsala ($18.29 without the Marsala sauce) that was so tough I had to saw over and over with my steak knife to cut it and they now want $3.80 EXTRA CHARGE to add the marsala sauce on top of the $18.29, REDICULOUS. My wife ordered Chicken Marsala that wasn't bad but both house salads were just saucer's with pitiful looking chopped yellow lettuce with stems, some pepperoncini, a couple olives and no offer of fresh grated parmesan cheese on top as they've always had in the past. We noticed also that the restaurant no longer has the atmosphere and ambiance as in the past; like linen tablecloths, tabletop candles, fresh grated parmesan cheese, pepper mill ground black pepper, etc, it now looks like a neighborhood mom & pop cafe. The place now is just bare wooden tables and booths with only salt & pepper shakers and a drink list on the table with 5 star restaurant menu prices. We have heard other people talk about how it has gone down hill like some other restaurants and sure enough we find out that it's more than just rumor. For a $100 40th anniversary dinner, it was nothing but DISAPPOINTING! We won't be back and definitely won't recommend it to others, there are much better restaurants in Mobile. read more
