So start to off we walked about 8 mins or so from atomic liquor which is a bar around the corner pretty good on too. The area has a lot of homeless around which is a bummer because the restaurant it self was so good! We had a reservation for 1430 for six people and arrived to be seated very fast. The waitress was great she was on it, always getting us thing we needed as we needed without having to ask! The restaurant was small in side but they have an upstairs and out door area which is nice for a nice day. The food was all great! Will be coming back to try more of the menu forsure! The food and service was exceptional! We were lucky to have gotten a reservation at the last minute on a Friday night at 7pm. Reservations are recommended! We got there right at 7pm. They were really busy, so since we had to wait a few minutes, we decided to get a glass of wine at the bar. (You can also eat at the bar and they have an outside area as well. ) We were chatting and watching the hustle and bustle, so the wait time didn't seem long at all. When we got seated it may have been a 25-30 minutes wait and they seated us at the front kitchen counter. They were so thoughtful and apologetic that we had to wait even though we had a reservation. We still thought nothing of it. But due to the long wait, they gave us a free green bean tempura appetizer after we ordered! As their token of apology for our long wait time with a reservation. We were really surprised and grateful. We ordered the deviled eggs, pumpkin soup, short rib steak and black rice and oxtail risotto. Everything we had was EXCELLENT! I wish I lived in Vegas just so I could gorge myself on food here every weekend. They specialize in small plates to share and each feeds 2-3 people. My very large party ordered at least 8 plates and absolutely everything was killer except for the beets. But hey, they can't change the fact that I think beets taste like a mouthful of dirt. Crispy chicken skins - hope you're not dieting, because these are too mouthgasmic not to order Bacon jam- served with havarti and baguette. It was really good but there's not a lot of cheese and we all agreed that this tasted like BBQ sauce. Devil's eggs - Don't be a big wuss like me and shy away from the caviar because it was AWESOME! Tastes like salty, crunchy poppy seeds on top. Tempura green beans - served with pepper jelly cream cheese. I could stop shoveling these in my face. You might want to order extra dipping stuff. Chicken thighs - served with the BEST white BBQ sauce. So tender and so good. Baked Mac and cheese - this is super creamy, served in a cast iron skillet. The "secret" is truffle oil. You'd think that in the midst of a global pandemic, with businesses closing down at an unprecedented rate, the service industry hurting from the loss of tourism dollars and locals unable to indulge in eating out as often - that restaurants would do their best to make whoever walked into their doors feel appreciated. Because when I'm able to take my dollar someplace where the food is comparable but where the service is noticeably better, guess what I'm going to do? Anyway, let's get on with the review. My wife and I chose this restaurant on a whim. We made reservations and arrived 10 minutes early and asked if there would be a problem with being seated early. The man checking us kn (who I'll now refer to as the host) said there wouldn't and sat us down. And that was literally the last thing he said to us until we were walking out the door after our meal. And there in lies the problem. You have two employees: a man (the host) and a woman (the server) and the place doesn't seem all busy as it was around 1pm on a Wednesday. We ordered our food from the server and she greeted us, made small talk and recommended a few dishes. She was a pleasure and a total contrast to The Host. He plated us, brought our initial water, came back a few times to take plates away and literally never said a word. I mean, maybe I'm being testy, but it's rude to me to not acknowledge me during the entirety of dinner. Maybe ask if we need anything, if everything is ok, thank us for dining in, etc. A group of women took to a table next to us and they were treated with the same deadpan service as we were. So it wasn't like I had insulted the man. He just really seems to hate his job. Anyway, the food was good. We had the steak, the burger, the deviled eggs, mac n cheese and pork belly. And everything was tasty and cooked quickly. The plating was really impressive and people on my social media accounts all asked where I was at. So that's a plus. Unique dishes and flavors in every single one of their dishes here at the Carson Kitchen! My top favorite out of the Chicken Skin, oxtail risotto, Rabbit Alfredo, and the beef was definitely the Chicken Skin. So crispy and flavorful without the grease. The smoked honey on the side was the cherry on top. Pairing went well together and we devoured it before another dish could come out. Lol. The rib eye was another favorite as well. It was very well cooked and tender and juicy. Not sure how I feel about Rabbit though but it was good to try if you're feeling adventurous! The bourbon brownie was also really rich and had a distinct bourbon taste. All these dishes just make you wanna try the whole menu here. Haha. They have an outside patio with artificial turf and a fire pit which was perfect since we brought our dog. They also have brunch in the mornings and the menu looked really good as well. We came in around 12-1pm and there wasn't really a wait. You can also make reservations as well in advance. Food and drinks are so good!! This is a must visit foodie destination!! The only complaint is this place does not believe in using the AC. It was so hot in here that my shorts and polo were wet from sweating so bad. I had to come back to the hotel to change outfits before going out. It actually felt cooler outside and it's 91 out today. I can't believe that I always forget to review this place. I've been you're probably four or five times and have brought friends from out of town here every single time to show them something different than the strip. This is a really nice restaurant that has individual meals or tapas style dining so you can share with your friends. We did the latter and ordered things such as the crispy green beans, pork belly, mac and cheese, chicken skin, and one of the flat bread pizzas etc. Every single thing on there was delicious but I probably could have eaten a whole quarter of the crispy green beans by myself. This place is so good and the service is excellent. our server was so awesome and sweet and she made sure that we were all taken care of outside on the back patio. Carson Kitchen never fails to delight. I happily overate at my cousin's wedding reception. The staff handled the event wonderfully. Our server was a kind young lady; that we didn't catch her name. The bartender made me a raspberry Moscow Mule that was dangerously delicious. We will continue to venture here to explore this wildly flavorful, ever-changing menu. I REALLY REALLY wanted to like this place. It's been on my radar for sometime now, and tonight was the night we were gonna try it. Unfortunately, it did not even come close to the hype. I will say the server was nice enough and I could see she felt bad about food taking awhile. Starting with the drink, we ordered a sangria that was alright. It is described to come with seasonal fruit, and only came with one orange slice. Orange isnt even a summer fruit. 5/10 Now the food: we ordered the Devils Eggs, Beet Salad Bacon Jam, Oxtail Risotto, and the Burger. Devil Eggs were good but nothing special 7/10. Beet Salad was very good it was the perfect ratio of toppings 9/10. The Bacon Jam honestly sucked the the ratio of cheese and Jam was off, there were no hints of bacon and the breads weren't even toasted properly 1/10. We liked the Oxtail Risotto but the rice was kinda hard and it turns your teeth purple 6/10. The burger is fine, wayyy to much grease and Aloli and it took almost 30 minutes after everything else so 4/10. What really took this experience down was that fact that the man that helped run the food broke a major sins of serving, which is he moved my water glass by grabbing the rim with his palm. So gross. Extremely Disappointed - Wrong Order and Poor Accountability - CHEATED - WONT BE BACK! I have been a dedicated customer of Carson Kitchen for many years and have encouraged many others to dine there but this experience was absolutely deplorable and unacceptable. I placed my standard order for two items that I have ordered for years. For the first time ever, my order was not prepared correctly. The server immediately said we will be glad to prepare it correctly which was fine. The manager Nikkie came over and said we will only replace one and I could keep the incorrect order. I clarified that I ordered two, they both were incorrect and both should be replaced as the server had initially offered. I also advised that I did not want the incorrect order. Nikkie became very combative and argumentative and said she would only replace one and would not take back the incorrect order. Therefore I was penalized for their mistake and was cheated out of one order. Nikkie refused to make it right, had a dismissive attitude and poor accountability. Mistakes happen, but refusing to fix them is just bad business, blatant disrespect and theft. I won't be dining or ordering from Carson Kitchen again, and I'd advise others to think twice before trusting this place with their money. I came for lunch on a sunday and we got seated right away, the restaurant is really cute and perfect for out of town friends. The service was exceptional, the waitress was great , I ordered a hamburger to share and it was just mouth watering. Incredible experience! This was my first time dining at Carson Kitchen and everything from the ambiance, to the food, the service, and even down to the music was great. The restaurant itself has such a cool vibe to it with the low ceilings and seating options. I love how smaller parties can sit at the bar and have a view of the kitchen, too. I came with a group of 5 total, so we sat at a table in the middle of the room and had a wonderful time. Also, the food was DELICIOUS. At the end of the meal, we all took turns rating the dishes and said our individual favorites, and all of us were so torn because everything was just that good. I appreciated how our server spaced out our dishes so that it didn't all come out at once. We ordered everything to share, so we ended up with 1-2 dishes per person at the table, and that was perfect. Cocktails were superb, as well. Sat at the chef's bar to watch the action- the counter doesn't quite have enough overhang for knee-room, but we managed to avoid losing any food on our laps. Took the server's suggestions: deviled eggs, black rice oxtail risotto, and NY strip to share between two of us. Everything was delicious, but we were too stuffed to try the desserts. They ask you before ordering if you have been there before and explain that their menu is designed to be shared. Which I don't think is actually true because the portions and plating styles say anything but share me. The watermelon salad is delicious as well. I have to remember to tell them no mint because my bestie is allergic to mint. There were 3 of us and here are the dishes we ordered, in order of favorite dish. Short Rib Steak, Baked Mac & Cheese, Secret Sunday Chicken sandwich, and Bacon Jam. The Bacon Jam had a great spice and flavor but a tad too salty for my taste. Everything else exceeded our expectations and was excellent. What we order could have easily fed 4 people but we decide to buckle down and stuff ourselves to the max. This place is a must try if you're looking for dinner outside of the flashing lights and only a 5-10 min drive away. read more

Carson Kitchen knows what they do well. Each time we have come here they have fine tuned their menu to get to where they are today. We had the Deviled eggs, killer shrimp and fried chicken skins to start. The deviled eggs were good, but out of the three starters we had this was probably the most flat. Although there was a small bit of smoke from the paprika and a pop from caviar, we didn't feel it stood as much as the others. The killer shrimp was creamy, crispy and had a light touch of heat with the picked jalapenos. The crispy chicken skins were better than before. More crispy and goes SO well with the spicy honey. My friends each had the steak and burger. They didn't give too much feedback but mentioned the burger and steak were cooked well and ate every bite. My partner had the meatloaf and said it was very tender and the molasses glaze had a lovely smokey touch. Felt very comforting and homey. I had the oxtail risotto. This has always been a favorite of mine. I am happy to see they made the portions smaller as it is very filling. I love that they use a wild grain rice as it adds some lovely texture to the creamy risotto and hearty oxtail. The chimichurri helps cut through the fat. We finished the meal with both the brownie and the bread pudding. The ice cream with the brownie is always a crowd favorite and the bread pudding is just *chefs kiss*. The bread pudding almost reminds me of a bananas foster with the creme anglais. This place will always hold a special place in our heart and cannot wait for our next trip to Vegas. We got to talking with who we think was the manager Rachel who really helped us with our decisions. We got the Devil's eggs, grilled oysters, killer shrimp, & meatballs. All were fantastic, the only one we wouldn't get again is the meatballs, there was a strong taste of rye seed & both of us just aren't a fan. We also got TWO desserts not because we're gluttons but, Rachel heard we were celebrating our anniversary early & we couldn't decide between the desserts so she sent us both. Located on 6th St and Carson and away from the hustle and bustle of drunk people. Indoor and outdoor seating available. We opt to sit outside. See photo. So relaxing. There's a fire pit so in the winter this would be a great spot to hangout. Service was great and the workers were very nice.
