"Carstar" alone has 17 just in a 10 mile radius and yet intentionally keeps some of the branches/locations off yelp. I'm adding this one due to a good experience, including good service and a quality repair of a minor parking lot ding. Total was $6257.65 but State Farm covered all but the $500 deductible. BEWARE: SCAMMERS I brought my car in for a fender bender. No frame issues. No axle or wheel issues. Needed new right front fender and repaired passenger door. Only after I agreed to the estimate and paid a deposit for them to start did they end up saying that based on the repairs they also had to recalibrate the eyesight system. In order to do that, they had to remove the windshield tint and the housing unit for the Eyesight system on the ceiling, and then reinstall both. 1. They charged me for all of that extra work. And when I pressed them on how all of that could be necessary based on the damage, I was told only "it's necessary" 2. That did not sound right to me, so after the car was finished I took it in for a regular service appointment at the dealership where I bought the car new. I showed them the itemized invoice. The shop foreman, the service tech, and the service manager all agreed there was absolutely no way all that extra work was required. 3. The dealership even tried contacting Carstar on my behalf repeatedly over several months and Carstar refused to take their calls or call them back. 4. Not only did they bait and switch me, they also damaged the Eyesight housing by stabbing their pry tool against it repeatedly and failing - all part of the unnecessary work. 5. Not only are they dishonest and careless, they're also lazy. They didn't even reassemble the Eyesight housing unit correctly, and because the step they missed required them undoing the reassembly and doing it again, they just said screw it and left the part in the cupholder - again, all part of the unnecessary work. read more

WARNING! I would highly NOT recommend not to take your vehicle here to this place, and I will share why into detail. My friend had a car accident during winter becaues of the snow and her car needed body work, so we toke the car here thinking, this place is located in bellevue and good sized shop, they should be ok right? Worst decision ever. She brought her car in during February, and did not get the car back till July. 5 months, that's enough time fixing and should fix every thing on the car right? Nope. When we first got the car back, the back bumper does not fit on, you can clearly see there is still a large gap between the fender and the bumper not to mention it is also noticably a different color, meaning they got an aftermarket part just to put on. There is still paint droplets that were dried out and dents that were still there not fixed. Also the tail light that was cracked, they replaced it with another one that HAD A PIECE THAT GAME OFF THE LIGHT(basically a hole). My friend spoke with the employee there and the answer she got was "we can't fix everything perfectly." We dont need perfect, we know you can't fix it perfectly, but a bumper that does not fit on, and paint droplets that dried out because you were careless? That employee was giving bad attitude to my friend already, and ok so I decided I'll help call them and speak with the supervisor instead. SAME EXACT ATTITUDE, no wonder the employee there have bad attitude, when the supervisor is the same. But after a long argument with them, they decided to fix everything. After another month or so when we finally can pick up the car, they did fix the droplet, they did not replace the bumper with an original, just put in another bracket just so the bumper will latch on better, the light is fixed. Ok, so we're ready to leave with the car right? After another month or so when we finally can pick up the car, guess what? They scratched up the car near the bumper light, it was not there when we brought the car in, we even have pictures of that exact area before we bring it back in for the fix, because we toke pictures for the light. The supervisor actually had the balls to tell me, "we did not do it, we have cameras in here so we did not do it." Really? Jon is the supervisor for anyone wondering, so we confront him about it, and of course he gave us more attitude, the attitude when you speak to them and they pretend to look around and space off not caring. My friend was already sick n tired of this place, bring in a vehicle that could be easily fixed, for 7 months, thats how long they take. We argued with them, we dealt with them, we had to go there and bring the vehicle back and forth, for 7 months, just for scratches, dents, and a broken tail light. Sure this place might have "fixed" the car, but to deal with them for 7 months? Everytime we go back and read to get the car, its not ready to be picked up because they messed up their part or they caused more damaged to the car? The attitude of the employees here? Trust me, don't your car here, its not worth your time, its not worth your energy. I do hope this place hire better employees, especially to replace Jon and Derek. read more

The receptionist is really friendly -- she was the only good part of the experience. I had to wait for an hour for an estimate despite having an appointment. They said I would have the estimate after 4 business days. I still do not have the estimate nearly 2.5 wks later despite calling them twice. This is for a simple, minor fender bender. All communications with store manager (Boe) were excellent. He was efficient, highly knowledgable and kept me in the loop along the entire time from the time my car was dropped off until it was picked up. He dealt with scheduling my car rental and handed all repair costs with my insurance company so I didn't have to worry about a thing. Overall, a good place to address an unfortunate problem. Their front office area: well organized, accommodating, personable. Mike Maines: experienced, knowledgeable, efficient use of time, had an estimate within 30 minutes of scheduled appointment. They're busy which is not surprising given the challenges of driving in this region of the country. Confirmed insurance claim and scheduled repairs within 3 days of accident. Due to volume of work CARSTAR could not start repairs until three weeks later. Auto drop off and loaner pickup was convenient. Estimated time for repairs one week to 10 days. I called twice to receive updates. Wish that Mike Maines had taken the time to call me first. Quality control issues required a few more days to address. Total repair time period 10 business days. Results: excellent work, car washed and a couple personal touches ... all good. I would encourage anyone in the Bellevue/Kirkland area to consider CARSTAR Collision Clinic in Bellevue when a situation presents itself requiring auto body repairs. Our Insurance Co. made an appointment for Aug. 2, 2021, at 7:30 to have our car repaired. When we called, Car Star (Derek), we were told to bring it in. Later on Fri., July 30, Car Star called and said do not bring in car until Aug. 23- 3 weeks later. We were assured the car would be top priority and we would be called if any problem. We would have it in 3 days. Derek called on Fri. Aug. 27- sounded as if he had just started working on it and had found more damage and had to order parts. Promised would be ready next week, probably by Wed. Sept 1. He told us he would send the updated estimate- NEVER SENT THE ESTIMATE AND NEVER GAVE US A WRITTEN DATE AS PROMISED. Did not hear so called today Sept. 2 and asked when we could pick up our car. Obviously Car Star had not even begun the repair because again he mentioned the painting. He said maybe not done by tomorrow Sept. 3. When I called our Insurance, we found out the start date given them was Aug. 27 so Derek had no intention of beginning the repair. It was changed several times with the latest at Aug. 30. End date was Sept 2, then changed to 3rd and now changed to 9th. Derek never gave us these dates. In other words he lied to us and figured since it was an insurance job, he would be paid so did not have to be honest. So far we have never been given the pickup date nor the final Estimate. We will not do business with this company again. We just hope that the repair is good and everything complete. If we get the car on the 9th, it will be over 5 weeks since we went in for the estimate and over 4 weeks since we were promised our repaired car. I got in a car crash right at Christmas. Took my car to Car Star. Eric gave incredible customer service. He kept in touch by email to let me know exactly what stage my repair was in. When I picked up the car to my surprise they had cleaned the car inside and out. Eric then helped me reprogram my NAV system. Eric took my rental car and got it back to Enterprise. Getting in a crash is really upsetting but each employee at Car Star was helpful and on top of everything. It was the best part of this unfortunate experience. Took the vehicle into Carstar and couldn't have been happier with the experience. (Note to Todd: Yes, I REMEMBER it was Carstar in Bellevue, WA that I took my car to...how could I forget the Hawaiian shirts, plethora of crashed up Range Rovers littering the lot...and you're right around the corner from my office - the reason I chose to use this shop in the first place...). Awful. Avoid this place at all costs. I had to take my car back in two times, and bring a male with me so they would listen to me. The workers are all super scuzzy. When I went to pick up my car the first time, they had the backseat out of it and the battery unhooked, yet gave me my keys and said I was ready to go...when they installed my back seat, they did not get the seat belts out, so the backseat was useless to me and my child who rode in a carseat - had to have a shop remove it and pull the seat belts out and reinstall the seat..the hood was not properly hung, they had overpray all over the rubber of the car, the paint was orangepeeled & they left a trim piece off my car, no kidding! Car went back to the shop 2 times. They tried to bully me until I bought a man in with me - then they listened to me...ricidulous in this day and age. Do not take your car here. read more

This place is great! They did everything right. My car got hit pretty bad on the expressway and the other person's insurance adjuster recommended this place to me. While I didn't have to pay for it, I can say that they completed the work slightly under the estimate, one day ahead of schedule, and handed me the keys to a spotless car (inside and out). On top of all that good news, they were exceptionally nice both on the phone when checking my car's status and in person. They knew what the status of my car was without having to put me on hold and just couldn't have been nicer. They will also help with a Car Rental for you. All accidents suck, but these guys make it about as easy as you can get. read more

I sent my daughter here to get an estimate on a small repair for her car, called to tell them (Fred, specifically) we'd like to proceed with the used part they offered to order, and was told I would get a call in the next two days to let me know when they could get it in. After a week, I called and left a message asking Fred to call me back. I never heard from them again. Maybe our repair was too small for them to care about? They are quite negligent with the vehicles in their possession and refuse to correct their work. We took our vehicle back multiple times to no avail. It could have been a horrible experience, but they turned it around. I needed some body work done. Originally, it was supposed to take 3 days. After 5 days I hadn't heard anything. 7 days into it they were were finally done. When I asked then to "help me write a positive review on yelp" and the manager did! I told him I was prepping the car for sale and I needed the wheels reconditioned. He worked with his vendor to get it done at 1/2 the price of another shop I was looking at. Also gave it a fantastic detailing and because there were a few scratches on the bumper, a buff. Frankly the car looks better than when I bought it. read more

When you work the hours that I do, it makes it much easier. Carstar Eastside Auto Rebuild is quick, well priced, and very helpful! Recently my car was hit on the driver side and left it in a less than optimal condition. My friend recommended Carstar and told me to get a quote. I called them and got a very reasonable price, but I called my dad who has been in the car business a while just to make sure it really was a good deal. My new car got hit and run in the parking lot of my athletic club. I used this place because I got an extra 100.00 off of my deductible because it was a preferred shop by my insurance agency. I am leery of these kinds of places like Maaco or R&R because I have never been pleased with the work in the end. There always seems to be some kind of issue. But they gave me a quick estimate, they were friendly and they had my car in and out in three days. I had about 2000.00 worth of damage to my new 2012 Cadillac with a special paint job. When it was done it was clean inside and out and everything was pretty much the way I left it, including the radio station. :) I had to take it back a few days later simply because the door panel was not snapped back on tight enough but they took my car right then, apologized and fixed it right away and explained to me what happened. They even cleaned the car inside and out AGAIN for me just for that small fix. They handled all the paperwork with my insurance company with no issues. Since it winter I have not really washed the car to see if the paint is a good match etc. But so far I am pleased. They were, friendly, fast and close to my home. I recommend them. Form arranging a rental car, to working with the other motorist's insurance company, to personalized calls and emails to guide me through the process and keep me up to date on developments, John was outstanding. The insurance company was balking at the cost and wanted CarStar to use some used parts, etc. John negotiated on my behalf. Took my car in a little less than a year ago and I am not happy with them at all. I took my Mazda to them to get my front fender repaired after getting backed into. When I picked my car up it looked fine but upon further inspection I noticed bolts not completely tightened. They also stripped the finish on my car. I took it back the same night and asked them to fix it but they did not. I would recommend that if you do take your car here you make sure everything is 100% before leaving. read more

Horrible, horrible experience. Do not take your car here unless you want it returned to you damaged. After our one month old brand new vehicle was hit we took our car to Car Star in Bellevue for the repairs. While the repairs themselves were great, our vehicle was given back to us with scratch mark on the infotainment screen, a stained cup or can ring on the cargo cover, white buffing substance on the trim and inside of the car, dust ALL OVER the interior and to make matters worse, overspray or something similar all over the vehicle. When we told them about the overspray they unhappily agreed to look at the vehicle and told us they'd clay bar it to get it off. After keeping the car all day they called and said it wasn't overspray, but tree sap. Which a) we don't park under a tree and b) tree sap doesn't spray your car with fine particulates. They never clay barred the car, didn't even wash it and now our car still has this particulate all over it. Very negligent handling of our vehicle. I expected better. read more
