I am constantly on the hunt for the best beer pretzel and this one was IT. So fluffy and yummy and the cheese sauce made it even better. My husband also enjoyed his buffalo burger and I got the nachos for the meal. Service was quick and pleasant. Homemade root beer was good too! This place was amazing! My gf and I were in town for 3 days, we went to Carver 3 times in 2 of the days. The beer was tasty, the bar staff was very friendly and the food was... Absolutely delicious! The soft pretzel they have right now for oktoberfest was pretty much perfection, so much so that we decided to return for dinner. I had the steak sandwich, omg... I could eat that everyday. My gf had the Buffalo burger which was also very tasty. The house made rootbeer was also a very nostalgic and pleasing. Shout-out to the best bartender, Stephanie, she was extremely friendly and informative when we asked about the area. Only came for two beers which were enjoyed. We opted to stand at the four top outside bar due to COVID, but benefited from the view of the 1800s Durango store fronts and backdrop of Colorado Mountains. I had the New England Hazy IPA (good) and Erin enjoyed the Scotch Ale. read more

Service was near excellent. We came in with a large group coming off the CO Trail. Our server and the bus staff were on top of almost everything, water refills, clearing plates, etc. Unfortunately, our server didn't check in on us after our meals came. I was told they wouldn't cook bison less than medium to well, "no pink." I switched my order to a beef burger and asked for medium-rare to rare. It was cooked medium-well; no pink to be found. Either the cook doesn't know how to cook anything less than medium-well or they choose to not cook any of the red meat medium or less. Even medium should have a hint of pink. I don't drink so can't comment on the beer but the root beer was quite tasty! read more

We had great food and service here tonight. I had the Italian Cheese Melt with tomato basil soup and it hit the spot. Others at the table tried it and had food envy even though they loved their burgers as well. We split two desserts that were also very good. Lily was our server and was both sweet and attentive. Every time we eat here, there is always something that goes wrong with our order/food. My son was enjoying his meal up until he threw up. That was when we noticed his milk was spoiled and didn't want anymore of anything. We told the waitress that his milk was spoiled and was given a new one. We weren't charged the milk. I gave it a one star because this isn't the only incident that it has happened whenever we eat here. read more

We simply visited Carver Brewing because it was their happy hour before going to have Thai food later in the evening. We had heard good reviews and those reviews understated how good this place is. Every beer we tried was fantastic. I'm not a hop head but their double IPA was off the chart good. The Barleywine was spectacular and dangerous. We all agreed that it should be enjoyed along with a salted caramel ice cream. The other beers were just as good. We did not have a full meal but did enjoy the pretzels and cheese dip. These service was spot on and friendly. If you are in Durango, and like beer, then you owe it to yourself to visit Carver Brewing Company. read more

Since my family was only in Durango for one night, I did tons of research to find a restaurant in historic Durango that would appease my husband and three young boys. We decided to come here because of the great reviews and it was within walking distance of our hotel. I ordered the bacon and blue burger and it was absolutely the best burger I've ever eaten. We went on a Monday evening the last day of July. Surprisingly it's and we were told it would be a 25 minute wait. Turned out to be more like 10 minutes which was a nice surprise! Service was great! My family loved the wings, and big homemade pretzels with a white queso dip. Yum! I tried the broccoli cheese soup and it was a little thinner than I expected but a really good hint of beer flavor. My husband and son got the steak sandwich and they gave it a 7 out of 10. They said it was really good, just a lot of bread and wished they had more steak on it. The burger was good. I personally loved the buns they are on. I ordered the macaroni and cheese entree. It was ok. It had thin twirly pasta, not macaroni. It's topped with a lot of bread crumbs - maybe a little too much. Not what I was expecting, but still good. We checked in at the front for lunch and got on the list. It was a 30 minute wait for a table of 5, and they text us when our table was ready. Everyone was nice and friendly, refilled drinks and checked on us frequently. One guy gave us some nice tips on taking a walk by the river which was really close by. read more

What a great place to share a few brews and great food with friends. We had 7 people in our party, and everyone had something different and not a single person was disappointed. I had the Cuban and it was delicious! My husband had one of the burgers - best he's had in a long time. One friend had the street tacos, which I'll have to come back for!
