They closed at 7 o'clock that night and I wanted to test drive one of them, they were more than happy to stay late just so I could test drive the car. My wife and I were recently forced to purchase a new vehicle as our 2nd one has been in various states of disrepair. With winter coming, kids in school, and two jobs to go between, we needed to find a reliable vehicle at a reasonable price ... and soon! Unfortunately, a new car was out of the question for our budget. About a month ago we took the plunge. We started looking at used cars that could fit our whole family (us, two kids, and a couple of dogs). At first we started looking at Dodge Magnums, but their value was too high, even used. We refocused our search for anything used, under $10k, and 4-wheel drive. As I was planning on getting a loan through USAA, I went to their website to apply for an initial loan request. I didn't realize it before, but they actually hook you up with views of cars for sale at certain dealerships that qualify for their sales program. I would learn more about this later, but suffice to say that USAA is selective in the dealerships they work with and the whole buying process becomes a lot easier! I found a 2004 Jeep, 4-wheel drive, leather interior, heated seats, and very clean, all for about $9,000. We also found another advertised for about $8,000, but with more miles. I was able to directly apply for a loan using that information and arrange for a test drive that same evening! The entire buying experience was really great. After my wife and I took separate test drives of the same Jeep (the first one), we felt really good about how clean it was, how solid it felt, and how well it drove. The price was already within reason, but just slightly out of our limited monthly budget. They were willing to work with us on the price, taxes, and our deposit to fine tune the overall financing cost so that we could get within our target of $150 a month, which really made us feel better about the whole deal and could be something we could handle without killing us to make payments. The gentlemen showing us the vehicles and working on our financing were really great and personable, and also I'd like to say they were very knowledgeable about Jeep engines and maintenance, specifically (which jived with our own knowledge of previously-owned Jeeps we've had and research we've done on the Jeeps we were looking at; they knew the difference between the reliable 2004 in-line 6 and the more powerful, if less reliable, V8). We were also able to get a free CarFax to look over (you can get it from CarZone or directly from USAA before you even go to the dealership), which had a very detailed maintenance record, and that was very reassuring. The buying process was relatively quick and easy, and we drove away with the Jeep that night. The next weekend we took the family on a road trip to Apple Hill, and we fell even more in love with our new (to us) Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Edition! Of note: they got us a free smog check the very next day, hooked us up with a new disc cartridge for the CD changer, and when we discovered the freon for the A/C was going out (2 days after purchase) they were able to recharge it for us for free with absolutely no questions asked. This, to me, is a great sign of a dealership you can trust. We weren't nickled and dimed, and we weren't given excuses about why something was wrong, or trouble about fixing something we couldn't have known about. If I need to make another major family purchase like this again, I see no reason why CarZone wouldn't be the first place on my list to go to! By the way, they have two locations on Kietzkee with, obviously, different vehicles to choose from, and they're owned by the same people so you can work with either lot to get what you need. The one we worked with was the smaller lot, and their building is, for lack of a better work, kind of a shack, but the quality of their service made us feel right at home! read more

Well this review will be about the car I didnt buy. Sounds crazy but let me explain..... so I come in to check out a car I fell in love with online. Infiniti g37. Unfortunately the car sold the day before. No biggie theres a ton of cars to look at and two different lots. Francisco showed me around at everything that would work for me and fit the budget. He even introduced me to the whole crew edwin, and the managers. I liked several different cars. So I tried buying a nice honda civic. Well it didnt work, my credit wasnt very hot. And thats no ones fault but mine. I didnt buy a car that day but I know where I stand so ill save up and ill be back to purchase only from them. in the end I stayed for about 30 mins just simply having good conversation with the guys.Thanks for making me feel like im apart of the family carzone. Our vehicle broke down with the same issue 4 times within the first 35 days. They kept taking it back and saying their mechanic fixed the issue. They could never even tell us what the issue was. We knew more then they did just by taking the car to AutoZone and getting a diagnostic with a scanner done real quick. Final straw was the 4th time it broke down. Unfortunately we will be paying for whatever repairs need to be done out of pocket. For now. I cannot begin to tell you the service we have received since the purchase. They have even hung up on me when I called to ask for the manager's name. They act like CarZone 1 and CarZone 2 are not ran the same, however, both are owned by the same person. We went in there today with cash to buy a truck and a car after we went in there earlier today and they told us that our credit wasn't good enough to finance. So we came back with cash. The salesman that we talked to "Chewy" pawned us off on some kid who didn't know anything. We kbb both the vehicles and they were very overpriced on what they were asking so we offered them top kbb price and they wouldn't even budge. We looked at a car and the tires were splitting, the steering wheel was broken and the alignment was off. Not the best place to buy a car. The sells manager was super arrogant saying that the "cars sell on their own" basically not giving room for business. Also, the manager told me that my credit score was way below what it actually was and I felt like they were using that to their advantage to make the sell with high interest/monthly payments. Not what I expected and was really disappointed with the customer service. I wish I would've looked at the reviews before driving from California to this place. Untrustworthy. Inquired about a reliable vehicle with low mileage at a great price. I exchanged a few emails with Phil and made an appointment for the next day. When I walked in, Phil said, "oh I tried to email you...the vehicle was sold yesterday." First off, how do you "try" to email someone? I was open to seeing other vehicles in that price range, but they were all either old or had too many miles on them. I'd stay away due to my experience with them. I went to test drive a couple cars at first and they couldn't get one started and another one they had locked the keys in the car. Right there I should have walked but gave them a chance. I bought a car drove 5 miles and engine lights and stabiltrack service lights came on. I reported and was told they would take it to the shop and fix the problem. I asked to switch cars since the paperwork had not been processed and sent into my bank. I was told give them a chance to get it into the shop and fix it and in 2 days if I still didn't want it we can switch it out. 2 days went by and when I saw another vehicle i would rather have I was told they can't do that now cuz they already sent the paperwork in. Right there was one lie. I received the car back and drive another 30 miles and same lights came on. I asked them where they took the vehicle to get fixed and was told they never took it to a shop they just replaced the battery, lie number 2. They gave me a loaner and told me they will fix the problem and they have a appointment set up for Friday at the GMC shop. On Friday I called around trying to get an answer on where the car was being sent to so I can check up on it. I was then told they made a mistake and the appointment was for Monday at ho tech motors,lie number 3. Monday I contact hi tech motors and they were closed for a 3 day weekend during the holiday so I contacted car zone and guess what oops their mistake the set up an appointment on Tuesday not Monday lie number 4. On Tuesday I contact hi tech motors and they said there was no appointment at all from them and when they need a car worked on they just drive it in and drop it off. Finally Tuesday late afternoon the car was dropped off to get fixed. During this time I spoke with many different ppl within this company trying to get this problem resolved from the very start when I was told if I wanted to change vehicles I could with no problem and then lied to. I was told they will do what they can to help resolved this problem but never budged at all except them making 6 grand on a car that will sell for the same price. The car tool 2 weeks to get fixed and the shop said drive it around for a week or so to see if the lights come back on and then they know there's someone wrong in the engine. I was told they drove the car all around to test drive then car but when I hit the car back and took a picture of the check engine light on it had the mileage in the picture. When I looked at the car mileage after getting it back the mileage only change 11 miles, lie number 5. I've dealt with budget motors right across the street and they were great when I bought my charger. I bought a car from internet motors 4 months ago before buying this car and something went wrong with the fusion we bought and they switched the car out and gave us another with no problem. You would think that car zone would do the same. They would receive their car back which they can fix and sell for the same price and sell a more expensive car to keep a customer happy that's was lied to over and over again by the sales people representing this company. Well they wouldn't do it at all. They said they would try to work with me and then they contacted USAA. Usaa contacted me on the other line since I had mentioned everything that was going on with the car once purchased and I was on 3 way. They even tried to hustle usaa by saying I was in their office yesterday and they want to make things good for me. I was never in their office the day before at all lie number 6. Car zone said they would call the owner to see if they can work on something to make things right and we hung up. Car zone calls me back in 30 seconds saying that they need money down for this to go through. So in 30 seconds you called the owner told him the lies I was fed to see if things can get right. Lie number 7, they didn't even pay attention I was on the other line with usaa listening to everything the whole time. So they did so call fixed the vehicle but like I said the mechanic told me and gave me a print out there can be a deeper problem but won't know until I drive the car a lot. So these are all the problems that I had and I would have gave a good review if they just took responsibility for the bs I was fed and the lies I was told and switched out the car but all they cared about was making more money then they should. I wish I can communicate with the owner but I've been bounced around through so many ppl I wouldn't be able to believe that I'd actually be speaking with the owner if they did call me. So again I'd stay away just to protect yourself from something happening to you cuz even the loaner car that they gave me had lights coming in after driving it a hundred miles or so. My bank usaa heard the problems then talked with them also and they suggested the same thing stay away and they will out in their report of the situation. read more

Thanks for selling me a lemon! I bought my first purchased vehicle here, a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer in early December 2017 for $10,900 at 122,000 miles. It looked to be in great condition and had a great carfax report. No credit, paid cash I saved for years. Traded my 2006 Chevy Aveo for $600. They didn't tell me the tires were too big (they grab the fender when you turn all the way) until after I had bought it and was leaving the lot. Told me to come back if I need anything and they'll hook me up because they want repeat / loyal customers. Fast forward 4 months to March 2018, the tire grabs the fender while I'm taking a curve on the highway going 65 and causes severe damage to the front end. Almost is inoperable and very unsafe. Cracked ball joints, bent control arms, broken tie rod, worn shocks and brakes. I bring it back to Carzone and they tell me Im SOL because I didn't buy the $1200 warranty and point me to Rick's Total Car Care across the street. So I spend $500 for repairs on the front end, bare minimum to get by. 3 months later June 2018 I spend another $820 on the front end and it still needs more work. Another $800 -$1K. Now today going to leave work and it doesn't start. I get a jump from a coworker and still doesn't start or even turn over because the starter needs to be replaced. I can't do anything because NV lemon laws don't apply to used vehicles. So now only 800 miles, almost 7 months, $12,220 later, I can't drive my recently purchased Trailblazer and feel so foolish and screwed. I wish there were a negative 5 star button for this review. Don't trust Carzone and don't buy a vehicle here no matter how good it looks or how good its inspection/history looks. read more

We just settled with my daughters insurance company and have cash in hand to buy a vehicle. We found the exact same 2012 Red FJ cruiser TTE at car zone. Twice the miles but we are interested. The car had to be jump started to test drive it, and it had a brand new battery in it, and brand new terminal cables on it! That was my first inclination they sold damaged vehicles. Reading these reviews makes so much sense now. This FJ is a not so easy vehicle to find, so we were willing to work with the dealership to make sure the car was repaired and not a nightmare of an electrical problem) The blower for the heater and the lights (was test driving at night) kept going off intermittently. They called and told me they replaced the battery and a cell was bad that was causing the problem so it was all better. So we drove back dow from Tahoe to check it out. We noticed the weather stripping was coming off and some panels were loose on the hood near the antenna and the opposite side, The car is very overpriced so we asked if they could fix all these issues and come down 1000$ or we take it like it is for 2000$ less. I've been pricing these cars for years. It is borderline ridiculous priced for the mileage. We have 2 other ones in our immediate family. The sales manager was rude, arrogant and seemed dishonest. He wasn't listening to what I was telling him about the electrical issue and how I will take there word it is fixed, he kept interrupting me to try to sell the car to someone else go was already ready to take their stuff it's me buy it. Please friends don't buy a car from carzone on kietzke Ln. Bought 2 cars at the beginning of March. I have already had to have my power steering pump replaced and my air conditioner fixed and the car was a $14,000bpaid in cash. It should have been checked out and fixed before going on the lot for sale. Also neither one was smogged and we had to take the cars back to have that done. We have been asking them for a month and a half for the EDRS so we can register our cars online and they kept telling us DMV is closed so it doesn't matter. Went today and confronted them and we got our paperwork. What a f***ing nightmare. Also an employee named Pablo called me one day and treated me so rudely, I was shocked. Told his boss Derrick about that today and all he said is we are done here and he shut the door in our faces. Please if you need a car go somewhere reputable. I went in to look at a vehicle I saw online. I waiting out in the parking lot looking at the truck by myself for over 15 minutes before anybody even looked in my direction. They were all up on the porch of the dealership, smoking cigarettes and laughing, paying no attention to myself of the other customers on the lot. However, that wasn't the worst part. The worst part was when a salesman finally came over to me and asked me if I needed help with anything, and continued asking me questions all while having a lit cigarette in his mouth. After telling him about myself, he belittled me and made me feel like my money wasn't good enough to be spent at the run down dealership he works at. My husband and I went here because they advertised a few different makes of SUVs that we wanted to test drive and compare to our older suburban that we would have traded in. The first thing the salesman told is was that "he was new and didn't want to screw up" and asked if we were going to finance or pay cash. Then were told we needed 1/3 of the price as a down payment. We asked if we could drive a couple different vehicles. He left, came back and told us that unless we were going to buy that same day we couldn't test drive anything. So, we called a mechanic that was extremely reputable, who we did a thorough background check on, and set him up to go check out the car... CarZone agreed.... When we sent the mechanic to check out the car, CarZone would only allow the mechanic to look at the car from the TOP of the engine... They flat out refused to allow him to hoist the car up and do a thorough exam.. They said that "when they do that, the mechanics always say there is something wrong with the car, and then they can't sell it. So, to have our mechanic hoist the car up and take a thorough look at it from underneath......, "Uhhh, That ain't happening". They said they had their OWN mechanics that we could take the car to, to be checked out by them... Duhhhh...., what idiot would do that??? So, after a week of talking about the car and getting excited about the purchase, we had to nix the deal... Thank God we had the sense to do our research, and follow our instincts. read more

I got approved for financing but kept being pushed for more of a down payment. They refused to budge on the price even though I would be putting a lot of money into this car. As I was declining to pay the price, which was well over blue book, I was told I wouldn't find another car like that for as low priced. I finally got my money back after my lawyer wrote a letter that I forwarded onto the owner after the general manager Beau threatened me with a repo on my record after the car was returned to them because it could not pass smog promising to take him to court if my money was not refunded since the vehicle was returned to carzone. I will not do business with a dishonest company and as far as I'm concerned the matter is resolved. I had applied for credit on their website and after a phone call, was approved for an auto with 1500 down for a 7995 dollar vehicle. I entered the lot and looked at several vehicles and test driving two of them....I found 1 leaking and one with front end wear. The salesman went into the office and after a few minutes, came out and told me the vehicle was too old for the bank financing and they would need 3000 down. I decided to decline. As I was walking off the lot another salesman offersd me a newer vehicle with financing that they could approve but the cost was 2000 more than the vehicle I was trying to buy. I still declined.
