Boy was I wrong! For two unpainted parts, a hood and bumper, I was charged $1400. I had asked for them to be painted off the vehicle and installed after, makes sense right? Instead, Chris insists that he'd want to paint them ON the vehicle, for better fit. How that makes any sense, I dont know, must be another excuse for his shotty paint job. Following picking up the car, it looked great, until the following day. I had driven ONE MILE, to go home from the shop. I had a big chip on the top of the hood, paint peeling along the seam(which he claimed was from masking tape), paint crumbling under the hood, TONS of overspray and to top it off I had grinder marks on my wipers. Along with the missing hardware under my hood. THIS, this is where I became livid, when I brought the car back to be fixed.. Chris claims that the vehicle I've had for 8 years, which has NEVER had damaged paint under the hood, was inevitably going to chip. Nevermind the fact that it never has, this man spent more time trying to convince me that I was stupid than to actually fix the issue. He claimed that my hood strut would forever damage paint and it was no fault to the quality of his paint job. This is to the point that he returned the vehicle, WITH DAMAGED PAINT AGAIN, but now added a rubber sticker to where the hood strut would touch. To finish things off, he claims he made NO MONEY off of me for the original paint job and tells me he could've charged me MORE. Now following his "repair", my car has a damaged hood, yet again. Come to New Star if you want to pay a premium for a Maaco paint job and get scammed. Nevermind, Maaco would probably have done a better job.

My car is new and I crashed the driver side door. I felt hopeless, not knowing what it will cost and if the job was going to look right. I took my car in on a Thursday morning, I was called on Friday by the owner stating my car was done. It looked like new again. I was estatic to see the beautiful work done. I will start this absolutely horrific review by saying I previously had given Porsche of Larchmont…read morea negative review about my experience but had taken it down after what I first thought was a rush to judgement and the possibility of being incorrect in my assessment. I now know I wasn't even close in what I needed to put into writing for potential customers to see. My car had overheated on July 13th. I had it towed to Porsche of Larchmont as opposed to my usual service center at Porsche of Danbury because of the location of where it overheated. After the car had sat there for a short time...I was told the engine would need to be pulled so that they could further diagnose the "engine problem". the cost to pull the engine would be around 5,000.00 to just diagnose the issue according to them. I was then given a cost to repair the issue which would run me about 10,000.00 total for the engine being removed and repairs. After another several weeks of waiting and my repeated attempts at calling them and leaving messages (none of which were ever returned), I finally called and refused to leave a message and stayed on hold until Ryan, who initially spoke to me, got on the phone and said that they never really pulled the engine, even though they said they needed to, and quoted me for repairs including the engine having already been pulled to diagnose the problem. He then said they "would really have to pull the engine now" and the cost to repair the car could be around 27,000.00. I never had an engine light come on...the car overheated and now I was being quoted 27000.00 more for repairs. I told them to put the car back together and I would have it towed to Porsche of Danbury. After having the car brought to Porsche after 6 weeks of ineffective care at Porsche of Larchmont, the water pump was replaced, and I was told the car was good to go. I drove it off the lot but heard something strange and returned it. They said they would take another look. I was headed out of town for two weeks and told them there was no rush in getting the car repaired( I only offer this information because Porsche of Larchmont is questioning the length of time for Danbury to do repairs even though Larchmont Porsche never fixed the car or returned calls for 6 weeks). When I returned, they called me and said the problem was that the repair work done at the Larchmont Porsche was done improperly and parts were put into the engine in reverse and that once Danbury repaired and replaced a defective part installed by the Larchmont location, the car is now in perfect running order. I will post the email from Porsche of Danbury at the bottom of this review. When I spoke to the service manager at Porsche of Larchmont over the past week...he questioned whether Porsche of Danbury was being forthright and denying the faulty work done by his own mechanic...he even said that if the parts he put in the car were defective...that they should be covered under warranty...completely ignoring the fact that work needed to be done to reinstall the non-defective parts that were installed improperly by his mechanic...only questioning whether the Danbury Porsche dealer was being honest. I now will be taking the Porsche of Larchmont dealership to small claims court to recoup all of the money they charged me at their location and the additional money charged by Porsche of Danbury to correct the faulty work performed by Larchmont...DO NOT GO HERE! Btw...I posted this review on another site and they responded...what they said goes contrary to all the evidence presented...they had no photos they provided...and the issue with the Danbury Porsche work is all for labor for the improper installation by the Larchmont dealer, not to mention that there was never an engine light and they supposedly had one. They don't even mention their absurd estimates they gave or the fact they never removed the motor although tried to charge me for such before getting caught and admitting they never did so. I would have responded there but had limited space there. Here is the email from Porsche of Danbury... Hi Mr. S, Please see attached pictures of your 2008 911 Turbo repair as discussed. We confirmed both camshaft adjustment solenoids were replaced at Porsche Larchmont. During further diagnosing/disassembly based on the fault that we had we found the passenger side bank 2 camshaft solenoid was installed in the incorrect orientation (180 degrees off) causing oil starvation to the bank 2 camshaft adjuster. You'll see the "alignment pin" on the camshaft solenoid crushed due to the improper installation. If you have any further questions on this please let me know. Thank you

I've held off posting this review until my saga with Middle Village came to a close (~7 months). If you're considering buying a car from Middle Village Motors, just don't. There are plenty of cars in the city and plenty of better places to buy them. Ray Chomicki sold me a flawed car, wouldn't help me get it fixed, and then tried to buy it back for less than half the cost less 6 months later when his mechanic wouldn't work on it. Ray from Middle Village Motors sold me a car for $6,000 in April. Within days, issues mounted that only continued and worsened through the summer, resulting in 5 breakdowns/tows. When I approached him to help (I was even willing to help pay for repairs!), Ray would either say my car wasn't covered under his warranty or give the car to his mechanic (Highway 79 on Metropolitan), who would "run the error codes and find nothing". After 6 months of issues, complete replacements on parts that had nothing to do with the car's problems, and tedious phone/email tag, Ray offered to buy the car back for $2,800, just under half of what he sold it to me for. I took the car to a different mechanic who quickly and easily troubleshot and fixed the issue (had to do with the fuel system/dirty injectors and sensors). The car had other issues, too - I could keep writing - but the point here is that MVM could have done the right thing, realized they sold me an unfit car and made it right by either fixing the car or issuing a refund. Ray's resolution was essentially charging me $3,000 for being gullible enough to buy a car from him. Yes, I admit I was gullible and made mistakes in this process, but no, Middle Village Motors was not very upfront or helpful with the issues pertaining to the car that they sold me. I want to say the folks at MVM were downright dishonest, but I don't want to discount the possibility of incompetence. Save yourself time and money, don't buy a car here.

We are from NJ and I was a bit hesitant to travel to Yonkers to look at it but it was an easy ride and pleasant experience. From the moment we made first contact with their coordinator Rachelle, through our contact with the Sales Rep, it was smooth sailing. We paid cash and they did not upsell thousands of dollars to the price. They had a lot of nice/upscale cars on the lot, not old/beat up cars. They have a one bay detail and mechanic garage area on the lot so they serviced it before we drove it away. On the way home, no issues... car is rock solid and in fantastic condition! They used some shady place called westlake financial which is an another mess with their crazy practice. I don't know how these people sleep at night knowing that they took advantage of young kids.
