After requesting quotes on Yelp, I got a slew of phone calls from different companies asking if I wanted to make an appointment for an estimate. At 8pm, Nick called and instead of pitching himself to do the repair, he gave us some suggestions as to what the problem could be and how to fix it. Following Nick's suggestion, we made a quick trip to Home Depot, bought the $40 piece, replaced the broken piece. The fix took less than ten minutes and just as Nick had said, the furnace was working again! Never, in my 29 years of home ownership, has a service person ever turned down an opportunity for a job that probably would've cost several hundred dollars (not including the initial diagnostic fee)!! Nick showed himself to be a stand-up guy who wasn't just looking to make a buck off me. And if in the future, I have any other HVAC needs, Nick will be the first person I call. When I pointed out that she was being rude, rather than trying to resolve the issue or offer assistance, she hung up on me. When your air conditioning is down, especially during the summer, you expect the company that installed your system to stand behind their work and treat customers with respect. Instead, we were met with hostility and a complete lack of professionalism. If the person representing the company--and identifying herself as the owner--treats customers this way, it says a lot about how the business operates. Hanging up on a customer is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company and will be taking my business elsewhere.
