Alway great food ! You walk-in and smell the delicious sauce . We started with the artichoke appetizer they were very delicious a bit pricy for four pieces. I had a special braciola with an Italian sausage, meatball and gnocchi it was all good. The wife had the chicken polo sorrentino it was awesome! That with a few cold beers on tap made for a great dinner! Nice outside patio. Service was also great friendly, polite! We just ate via the Lewiston jazz festival so we didn't get the restaurant experience. But i think we ate the 2 best items they served. Rice ball with gorgonzola sauce was so delicious, enough to share with 2. The crispy outside and the soft center made it great. The next were the stuffed peppers. The cheese was perfect not mushy but firm enough to make it perfect to eat. Also there was salami inside so it made a different twist on the taste. A little spicy but worth all the sweat. On our honeymoon and wanted something really good for dinner. We found this place searching for Italian food online. Omg! Everything from the service to the food was amazing! We started with the Arancini and they were both large and soooooooo good. I had the stuffed veal chop (with prosciutto and cheese) and it was incredible! So juicy, flavorful and delicious! The potatoes were crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. My husband had the salmon filet with risotto florentine and asparagus. He loved it. Delicious. We arrived on a nice summer evening, with reservations, in anticipation of a nice meal. Even with reservations, we waited for approximately 30 minutes to be seated. As we were being escorted to our table, the person seating is was asked if a side salad came with the entrees to which she replied she wasn't sure but thought so. If not, one was available for a small charge. Upon being seated we we're greeted in a reasonable time as there were 6 or 7 wait staff serving approximately 10 tables on the patio. Water and requested iced tea was brought out and a large pizza off the menu was ordered. The server said they would not sell a large pizza to patrons remaining to eat in-house and would only sell them to go. The "reason" for not selling them to the dining room customers was, "Covid made them short staffed." Remember, they already pre-make the dough so and will cook the dish in the oven for the to-go orders and the smaller size they will sell in-house,so how being short staffed is the reason is baffling. I asked if I could order it to go but remain and order an appetizer. The response was no. In turn, the appetizer was still ordered along with two entrees. It should be noted the entrees ran from approximately $17-$45+. Back to the salad for a moment: There was no reference of a salad with the dinner or an offer to add on on. Our server left to place the order. THAT WAS THE LAST TIME SHE STOPPED BY OUR TABLE WITHOUT BEING CALLED OVER! Another employee brought out two toasted croissants with an olive oil/garlic tray adjacent for dipping. This was tasty albeit limited in quantity. (Still our server didn't check in even with my empty glass on the edge of the table and her walking by numerous times) Our stuffed banana peppers appetizer was brought out (again by the different server) and those to were tasty. (No server still to check on us) Our entrees (fettuccine bolognese) arrived ( yup, brought by someone other than our server) with no request to refill the empty tea glasses. This was a flavorful dish but very basic. (Still no check-in by our server as she scurried by numerous times oblivious to the empty drink glasses. After we finished eating, we had to flag down the server to get our check. She never inquired about our meal or still if we needed anything else. Final thoughts: Good food but pricey. HORRIBLE SERVICE which defeats the hard work by the chefs and kitchen staff to warrant a return trip. read more

It was so good we came back the next night. A small gem tucked away in Lewiston, NY. We made reservations not knowing how impressed we would be. From Eva (she made that much of an impression seating us ) to our server Jessica BOTH evenings were a 10 plus star. We tried (between both nights) 4 of the 7 appetizers. All four were amazing. The artichoke francese my favorite while my partners was the arincini. Dinner for both nights were also unbelievable it must have been since my partner had the same meal twice. A very big thank you to Charlie for his amazing job on our dietary restrictions. The Osso Bucco was just like Italy and that's a feat in itself. My best friend and I stopped in Lewiston for dinner after a day at the wineries. She wanted Italian so we tried this place instead of going to one of our usual haunts. I was surprised when I saw the menu. They didn't have what I might have gone for after a long day out - something hearty like a spagetti parm perhaps. The food was more on the high-end line and was pretty expensive. I adjusted my expectations and figured I'd be getting a more elegant dish (like the delicious specialties at Cecilia's). I ended up ordering the lobster ravioli in a gorgonzola cream sauce for $28. They brought over a small bread basket and then after a long wait they brought our dishes. Teh bread was delicious; it was actually the highlight of the meal. The lobster ravioli was disappointing. The meat must have been very finely diced because I didn't taste any lobster - which quite frankly, I didn't care because I would have just as happily have ordered cheese ravioli. I just thought it was outrageous to spend $28 on five raviolis and not even taste the protein. One positive note - the sauce was delicious. I looked for the waitress for a while to see if we could get some more bread or order an appropriate side (like garlic bread) because it was a crime to leave the sauce on the plate.... but it was not meant to be. Terrible service! After tasting some of their delicious items during the garden fest, my family ventured to Casa Antica for dinner on July 14th. It was busy as there was an Artpark concert, so we were seated outside. We waited 20min and no server came to our table. The owner was visible too and failed to see that we still had menus and no water, drinks, etc. After waiting 20 minutes and seeing that both tables next to ours were attended too, we decided to leave and make other dinner plans. On the way out my sister thanked the hostess for the table but that were not greeted by a server and leaving. The owner was standing there as well and did not invite us back in or make any other effort to fix the situation. This is my second time visiting Casa Antica, and it never disappoints. This place is well maintained and clean. Bathrooms are spotless. They recently opened downstairs for private parties. The clientele are of mostly regulars and the visitors turn into regulars. We went with a group of 13 and we had a great waitress. They served us this great bread with dipping sauces it was awesome, then the appetizers came out cant remember everything we had not one bad thing. Then My beast came out a 24oz bone in rib eye with roasted potatoes and veggies. That steak had so much flavor and cooked just right. Then Cannoli and espresso. We loved this place. The restaurant is in an old home. We did not have a reservation but they were able to accommodate us. I would recommend calling for a reservation if you can. We started with wine, appetizer of calamari and zucchini, and garlic knots with house made toppings (one was green olive and garlic, the other was spicy peppers in olive oil). The entrees we had included filet mignon, stuffed chicken, lobster ravioli and sea bass. Everything was delicious. NEVER AGAIN. They charged me $88 for a steak. A 35-ounce bone-in ribeye, granted, but still utterly ridiculous. I have eaten in steak houses in Montreal, Charleston and San Francisco and I've never been charged such an exhorbitant amount. Before you say, "well, dumb*ss, you should have looked at the menu first", I did. It was a "special". But not the kind of special where the waitress reads it out then leaves the card with the details of the dish and the price. No, it was the kind of "special" where you realize when you get the bill that you got f**ked because the waitress never told you the price and you foolishly assumed it would not be the cost of an entire dinner at a reasonable restaurant. Bill for two people: $223. And we don't even drink. $12 cheesecake. Even at inflated in-restaurant prices, that should not be more than $7. The owners must be out of their minds. Also, the patio is way too big for the kitchen. I waited an hour for my meal. Just greedy owners trying to maximize profits from beginning to end without consideration for customers. I would recommend going to Carmello's instead. The steak is better, the salad is better and you won't need a second mortgage when the bill comes. read more

Stopped in at a little after 5:00 this evening with no reservations and the outdoor seating area had 90% of the seating outdoors open. We were told they had no room to take a party of two outside, once again 90% of the tables outdoors were vacant. Passed by at 6:00 and only 2 tables had people sitting at them; apparently they are doing VERY WELL and don't need customers, especially locals that helped them survive on drive up. read more

I have been here twice in the past year, the first time when I left I originally rated 3 stars but refrained bc it could of been an off night.. went there again last night and it was definitely a 2 star experience.. we sat on the patio and they sat us right against the opening of the gate, so there was people passing through right behind us the entire evening (if you are going to try and play this up to be an intimate setting - try to not sit people in the middle of an entrance) Food: the portions are skimpy for what you are paying for - I had veal parm yesterday and it looks more like veal soup with how much sauce they put on it - then as for the veal, they were Deff not cutlets, it was grizzly and only had 2 little pieces (I would assume it was the scraps of the veal chops that I originally ordered but they were out of bc it was a special) .. truly wish I had pics but it was a bday and was not focused on that Even the bread basket and dips that everyone gets when they are seated (but we had to ask for?) have seriously went down hill - got two pcs of bread that was soaked olive oil.. What a nightmare for service!! First of all - 2 posts written to wait for seating...after waiting 10 minutes we entered the resturant. The hostesses proceeded to not seat us but walked to the door when others had also gathered. Finally we are seated and she cheerfully says she will send someone over. 6 servers walked back and forth past us! No one even acknowledged our presence. (The resturant was not busy) there were several tables empty or I would completely understand the wait and possibly the complete neglect. Finally the hostess resurfaces to bring drinks to another table. I wave her down as she also was about to walk past one more time... I asked if someone could please come take our drink order and our food too at this point. We waited another 5 minutes then left. Food was average and way over-priced. There were three sharp shell pieces in my spaghetti - each 1/4 inch square or so. I was able to remove them from my mouth before I swallowed them. Had I swallowed them, I'm sure they would have torn up my digestive tract. They also didn't have the sea bass that we had travelled there for. I'll never eat there again. This is my summer review of Casa Antica. The food was good, portions generous (had the ante pasto for two and the scampi special for both of us). The waitstaff is always very friendly and attentive. Very good service. That said, I won't take anyone there, or suggest it, for a summer meal. The air conditioning is so terrible we sat and sweated through this meal and it's happened twice. The staff says the main air is out and they're relying on the little wall air conditioners. That was the summer of 2018 and this year, too. I've learned my lesson: eat here in the fall and winter. It's not worth paying over $50 a plate for two specials and then have to sit and eat them while you sweat. read more

My sister talked me into coming here one evening after work and I'm so glad I listened. We had the margherita pizza which was absolutely delicious. Light and crispy. The bartender Jim Gordon was extremely attentive and friendly and is happy to serve. We were joined later by my bro-in-law and nephew and sampled the meat platter that had melt in your mouth charcuterie. My sister and I went back a week later and tried the floured and fried calamari and it was hands down absolutly the best I've ever had. It melted in my mouth like butter, not at all like chewing on a rubber band like you get at so many other places. Got the same great service from Jim again.
