Home of the best sandwich I've ever had. Their "Bronx Tale" sandwich, which is chicken breast, sundried peppers, pesto, fresh mozzarella, and hot capicollo currently stands undisputed high at the top of my sandwich podium. I don't think it's possible to have a better combination of ingredients than in this sandwich. Not only is the combination perfect, but the ingredients themselves are clearly picked with care. The chicken breast, clearly made fresh in-house, is not too greasy, which is crucial as it serves to absorb the grease from the remaining ingredients. The pesto thankfully isn't too salty. The star ingredient, however, is the sundried peppers: sweet and not too salty - the perfect complement to the hot capi. It's a popular place, as it should be, but it's clearly a well-run operation, so the line always moves. The sandwiches aren't cheap. However, if you get them on a hero, you're essentially paying for two good-sized sandwiches, so it's not lacking on value. read more

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS SANDWICHES!! I learned about this place taking care of one of my patients and the parents were so excited to go here after I was done and were talking about it amongst each other. So I asked who and where was this place and is it really that good. The father said "OMG YES my stomach is growling now" lmao so I said I need to go and see what they are talking about. TO MY SURPRISE AMAZING; from the bread; to the fresh meats to the mozzarella and sauces! Such a good place. Staff here is super friendly. Sandwiches are fantastic. Club music is pumping in here. The only reason I wasn't dancing is because I was too busy stuffing my face! Great Food, Great Service, Great Espresso...need I say more? I have been going to Casa for years and they NEVER disappoint me. The food is always fresh, and the Fresh Mozz melts in your mouth. If you live to eat great food then it's a must go to eat! My wife and 4 kids went there 7.11.15 after we read the write up in the NYT's! If anything it was downplayed in the article....The staff were all very friendly, fun and helpful! They won us as regulars! The Inferno is in my top 3 favorite sandwiches I've eaten in my life! Made the 90 minute drive to make it 45 minutes before closing time (4pm) only to see that they'd locked up early. There were still people eating inside but they wouldn't let us in and closed the blinds on us. Super disappointing; don't plan on making the drive again. read more

The sandwiches are good but the rest of the food has gone down hill over the last few years. The sauces are now watery and bland. The veggies don't taste fresh and swim in oil. During COVID-19, I am trying to limit how many stores I go to. TL;DR: I just had the greatest sandwich I've ever had ... again. It has gotten to the point with Casa where I don't even bother picking a sandwich for them to make me, I simply choose the meat/ingredient that I want. There is absolutely no need to discuss the finer points of what you are going to eat because it doesn't matter, it's going to be exceptional. After two years of eating there, I was prompted to write this because I ordered out for myself and three co-workers. My roast beef sandwich was, as I said, the best roast beef I've ever had and the other three people said the same about their order. Mind you, one of them ordered salami, lettuce/tomato, and mayo on a roll ... and even that was met with high praise. WOW. Every time I stop by, things are as delicious as can be. The sandwiches are consistently huge, high quality, tasty and a great value. My favorite has got to be the Nonna. It is a massive sandwich and is prefect in every way. A generous amount of breaded chicken that doesn't taste oil-soaked, smooth mozz, yummy bread and the most delicate and tasty ham on it. There is no sauce but it is still quite moist. You will pay $9 for a hero, but it could feed 2 dudes and it is the best quality lunch around. Why is this place so expensive. I had high hopes for it, however after coming here to grab lunch for my boss and I. It was a complete disaster. I ordered a chix wedge and the chicken was to totally microwaved from the steam table making it super chewy like a plastic chicken. My boss got a parm wedge and found a aluminum piece in his wedge. I didn't like the snotty people behind the counter rushing me to order. There was only 2 people in here and they were both already served. Worst customer service we have ever had. Family has been a regular at this place for years. However, a recent event has changed all of that. A family tragedy required a last minute large order to feed the family that was arriving in town. Recognizing that it was a last minute order, I called at 8am. in hopes of arranging a 1pm. pick-up. I figured that five hours to prepare a few pans of ziti and chicken parm would be plenty of time. Boy, was I wrong. The employee that answered the phone stated that it would be impossible to accomodate our request (it was going to be a $300 order), and that she couldn't suggest another facility because "she wasn't from here". When I asked if she could please ask one of the other employees she answered "they are all too busy". At 9am.?, I asked. That was when she hung up. As a small business owner, I am acutely aware that we are only as good as our weakest link. Sadly, for Casa D'italia it is the first person that you speak to when you try to place an order. Sadder, the owner's of this place are probably oblivious to the problem. So, if you are looking for a place that serves fantastic food but treats you like dirt, you will love Casa D'italia. But if you appreciate a moderate amount of customer service, stay away. These people are jerks. They have lost a loyal group of customers. read more

It is thier pride in the food they serve that produces such amazing heros. I recommend the Nona, and if you are feeling frisky ask them to add thier hot peppers. If you are anywhere near Harrison and need a sandwich this is THE place to go. Amazing Italian deli with an out of this world staff! The coffee is exceptionally made and they use a delicious roast. Sometimes I'll stop in and grab a snack for later or grab two for a long road trip. I have yet to try the hot food selection, but every time I'm there it looks and smells incredible.
