I have really really hard to try and love it here but it just doesn't do it for me. The coffees do not taste like a mazapan or the salted caramel latte doesn't taste like salted caramel. I have had their bred and honestly I can't comment much because I'm not a bread person. The food is ok. Tamales a bit dry. I think what set me over was I went there in Friday to try the chilaquiles. Apparently they don't serve those on weekdays. Mind you I get it. Not sure how busy they are during the week days and that might be a waste for them. I gave them a four because the service is great and the panaderia is involved in the community. They also sell some very cute stuff in there. It just didn't do it for me. But give it a try! The first few times I stopped in, the service was friendly (I believe it was the owner helping me) and the pan was delicious and fresh. Unfortunately, I was so disappointed after my last visit here a few days ago that I doubt I'll be back. All the treats that we purchased were not fresh, all of them were really dry and tough. The puerquitos were so hard that you couldn't even bite them. The iced coffee drink I ordered was super sweet and any coffee taste was drowned out by the amount of sugar in it. I know some people prefer those "diabetes in a cup" type coffee drinks but it wasn't for me. To top it off the service was terrible. The two people working (maybe early/mid 20s?) could not have been less interested in customer service if they tried. I try to remember that we never know what someone is going through and lead with kindness in those situations, but the two people working that day seemed flat out irritated that customers came in and wanted to buy something. I see that several other reviewers had the same type of bad experience as I did. Aside from the quality of the food going downhill - this kind of poor customer service is what dooms a lot of businesses, especially in a smaller town where word travels fast. When I first started coming here it was an experience; a great one at that. The owner took the time to connect and the quality was great. Over the year the quality has declined and the various young ladies running the coffee shop are far from the quality service the owner provides. Already as a decaf coffee drinker I am at a disadvantage because they do not have decaf drip. When ordering a regular drip coffee and a cafe de la olla, I was surprised to find out they have no cream or half and half for their coffee. Paying almost $6 for a cup of coffee not even filled the size of a small, I would expect some available cream. Last week I came in and ordered a chocomil and an iced mazapan latte I was so disappointed. They forgot to put the espresso shots in my latte. The chocomil was delicious. I tried again today but once again disappointed. If your coffee shop focus on that and make it great before trying to expand into food. I really wanted to support this place because it's a small Business and the owner is the sweetest lady. Your staff however, especially the really heavy one, need to improve their game or all the customers are going to disappear. read more

I seen them on Instagram and anticipated on checking this place out. I came in on a Saturday during an annual festival( to my surprise) on Main Street where this business is located. They had a mariachi band playing in front of their building bringing cultural influences through music to their community. Inside, is a warm and cozy atmosphere, at the time it was set up for the festival. A large table was in the center for a vendor space. They were running low because of the event, but there were still several options that looked good and needed to go home with me. I loved their displays that attributed to the Mexican culture, local artists and imports directly from Mexico. Beautiful and Artistic! The bread was good but I found it a little dry. This place is so cute and the bread looked just as cute but could use some more work on the recipe, perhaps. I love pan dulce and this wasn't the best I've had. I really wanted to like this place, but my experience was disappointing. This review isn't about the food, as I didn't end up getting anything. The employee at the register displayed poor customer service and an unnecessarily rude attitude, especially for 7 AM. I follow their Instagram and saw they were promoting a Thanksgiving menu, and their posted hours for that day were 7 to 3. I drove in from Sacramento and arrived at 7:57, only to find the bread display already nearly empty. When I asked about the Thanksgiving menu, the cashier seemed confused and responded rudely before checking with someone else, then informed me they wouldn't begin selling the Thanksgiving items until 11 AM. It would have been helpful if this information had been posted in advance, especially on a holiday morning when many people are trying to get errands done early. The shop was pretty bare as it was a few minutes before 3:00pm on Saturday, which was strange to close so early. I ordered a White Chocolate Mocha, which was very tasty. We had planned to sit inside with a pastry and sip coffee, but the young man working told us he was closing in 7 minutes. We ended up finishing our coffee and pastry outside until our appointment. I really wanted to support this small, Latina woman-owned business. In fact, I gave it SIX chances because I believe in uplifting our community and supporting local entrepreneurs. But after my most recent visit, I can no longer justify coming back. Each time I've visited, the customer service has been just okay--never great, but I let it slide, thinking maybe it was just an off day. Sadly, this last visit was the worst yet and the final straw. There were only 3 customers in the store, and the young lady helping us could not have been more unpleasant. She had a terrible attitude, looked visibly annoyed the entire time, and made the whole experience uncomfortable. It genuinely felt like we were a burden to her, not paying customers. I hate to leave a negative review, especially for a business I hoped would succeed, but customer service matters. No matter how good your product is, people won't come back if they feel unwelcome. FUN! My family and I arrived one hour before closing and as with any bakery, the baked goods were end-of-the-day picks. That being said, they were AMAZING picks! My kiddo ran straight to the glass and got a rainbow sprinkle cookie. He enjoyed the scalloped edges and said he'd "never seen anything like this one". As a family, we love pan dulce. It's a great way to connect with my culture and create memories. If it's your first time grabbing Mexican pan here or anywhere, to purchase you have to grab the tray on the glass case, grab a pair of tongs, and choose them for yourself. Once you have your selection walk up to the register and they will take care of the rest! You did it! The price is comparable to anywhere else!
