I consider Casa Garcia's, the mid range Tex Mex in Austin. Theeal will be delicious and is comparable to Mexican home cooking. The serving sizes are good and you won't leave hungry. The queso appetizer is always delicious. I highly recommend it. I wish they had an extra large size. They also serve complimentary chips and salsa and the chips are warm and fresh and the servers always refill the bowls. The Mexican steak was okay, the cut was not a steak cut but more a cut of meat that's used for fajitas. It was tasty and cooked well. It was enjoyable. read more

Best margaritas in Austin and surrounding areas! I go here every Friday for the margaritas. Okay, so I eat too! I love the shrimp tacos, but I've only recently discovered them. This place has homemade tortillas. Not too many Mexican places in the area offers homemade tortillas. Great margaritas, great food, and homemade tortillas. What more can you ask for? Our go to Mexican restaurant in Pflugerville. Always good, Mexican breakfast served all day, and always had good service here. It gets packed on evenings and weekends. Menudo is good. Shrimp tacos, fajitas, enchiladas can't go wrong. read more

My first visit was in mid March; I've been craving some good Tex Mex for awhile and they were close to where I now live. I was seated quickly and explained to the server that I needed something not too hard to chew because of my temporary teeth. She was very helpful and recommended the Casa G Combo (substitute a tamale for the taco). While waiting, I ordered a large Margarita on the rocks, which came quickly and was delicious. Meal was a little slow coming but was worth the wait. Enchiladas were good, rice and refried beans, ditto. Guacamole was small but great, tamale and queso were fine. This place is very popular with locals and families, so don't be surprised if you have to wait to be seated. I know they are short-staffed, and could use more help; but the folks that are there work hard to keep you happy. read more

Came by for a team outing during lunch, place was decently packed. The menu here is ginormous... somewhat overwhelming. The salsa was nothing to die for, but the chips tasted housemade, delicioso. Ordered the carne guisada based off a coworkers suggestion, it was not bad. The flavors were in a good all up in yo face type a way but the beef came off as a little too salty. All in all, just another regular mexican restaurant next to that other mexican restaurant around the corner. read more

03/13/2021: Unfortunately, it appears this business is a victim of COVID-19. The service was acceptable, and safety measures were good. However, the quality of food was very poor. First, the food took more than twenty minutes, at a low volume time. This was for a standard Casa Uno Plate. Not rocket science, just taco, enchiladas, rice and beans. Not a huge deal, but if I have to wait, the food should be good and hot. The food was barely warm, and flavor was bland. On a high note, the Queso and hot sauce were still very good. I am hopeful they will be able to correct some of their issues and come back up to the level they once were. read more

With 2014 Fast approaching and the wife and I coming up on 100 Mex/Tex (Call Em what want) Its time to start a new list..Place we like to come back too...And Casa G is up there..Once again, Alfredo shined...and its been almost 2 years since we had lunch there...The chips were super light and crunchy, yet hold its own in the creamy Queso...Salsa was superb...It was a fun trip for the wife..See 2 years ago, she had graduated from "chicken soft tacos only"..to beef enchilada, but queso only...Not any more...She really enjoyed her lunch..minus the beans..Dont think she will be a fan of those..For me....Enchiladas mexicanas chicken enchiladas with guajillo sauce, fresh white onions, sour cream and queso fresco, rice and refried beans...Tasted as Good as it Looked...That said It Made Our List...and we will be back..:) read more

Been about a year since my last visit. I got beef enchaladas this time. They were ok. I like my beef more seasoned although my blood pressure would say differently. The chips were warm. The salsa is fresh and not spicy. If you have stomach problems then their salsa is perfect for you. read more

It's not the fanciest place, but it also does not pretend to be anything other than what it is. I have visited several times now and Case Garcia is a fine TexMex, mom and pop restaurant. Fresh tortillas, good food choices, very good table salsa. I wouldn't hesitate to visit any time I'm in the area. read more

I ordered the Beef Fajita Burrito with no onions. It came with onions. It took us 25 minutes for our order to arrive. I informed the waitress about the onions. She said she wrote it on the ticket and walked away. I picked all the onions off because I didn't want to wait another 25 minutes for food. I won't be back. read more

Here's what you order to start: queso flameado!! It's the most mouth-watering cheese covering seasoned meat and veggies. Comes with homemade tortillas ... sooooo good! When we got here we got seated fast which was great. than we order our drinks when it came out the lady sat them all in front of me and I myself past them around same when the food came out. my order was incorrect I order chicken but they came to the table with beef so I sent The beef back and they made the chicken. the tortilla tasted old as well as the cheese. I took a few backs of my taco and that's when I seen bugs coming out of The tortilla and the beans. the manager said do you want a new taco um no you have bugs in your food ma'am. i paid in cash but i did let the people know there was bugs in the food that was coming in the door yet they took my license plates number the car don't belong to me. One of my favorites in Plugerville. Breakfast all day, best selection of migas. Had the Chicken Caldo Soup today that was super! Fresh made large bowl with their hand made tortillas. Took 15 minutes for waiter to come and lie to us saying our waiter had gone home sick. Took another 15min to get drinks and when she comes with drinks say she will wait on us because we don't have a server. Food gets to our table cold. Other guest that came in after us eat and leave. Tell manager what had occurred and she says that what the waiter said is not true. Our waiter had lied to us about our original waiter going home sick. This place consistently makes my belly happy! I'm not a fan of the whole waiting for an hour and pretending that I'm just happy with the beautiful surroundings type of person. I like good food, friendly service and a good value. This place hits that. Okay so, they didn't get a 5 because they are in a strip mall, but.... Hubby loved his fajitas! I mean he loves them like he stopped talking about the kids, the bills and all of that kind of love. And I'm not jealous because I loved my combo enchilada plate! I mean like I didn't care that he wasn't talking because I was stuffing my mouth. The freshly made tortillas had him at hello. He typically doesn't like corn tortillas but he made the majority of his out of them. I LOVE that they make them out front and center and you can smell them when you walk in the door! We have been buying most weekend breakfast and periodic dinners from Casa Garcia's in Pflugerville for over 10 years now. The food has always been superb, and service has been most of the time. Yesterday I ordered 5 breakfast tacos and only received 4. It's not common for mistakes to happen here but they do from time to time. I called this morning to order breakfast again and asked if they could correct their mistaking of shorting me one breakfast taco from the day before. This has never been an issue before. But after a lengthy wait on the phone, I finally spoke to manager on duty today and was completely surprised by his response. He explained that they couldn't correct their mistake because I called this morning instead of yesterday morning. What a stupid mistake to abuse and now steal from a long-time customer. I say take your tacos and shove them. What a completely stupid manager. I hope it was worth it screwing me today. read more
