Normally a great option, but today both the kitchen and our server let me and my friend down. My friend and I visited for a super late lunch. He ordered the Numero Tres dinner and it seemed to please him. I ordered the beef fajita burrito without beans as I've done more than once before. After a few bites of my burrito, I noticed it didn't taste right. Just as I suspected, the burrito had beans. When I pointed this out to our waiter, Jonathan, he apologized and said that the kitchen messed up. No offer to get me a replacement. No adjustment to the bill. Nothing. Of course, he also forgot the refill of chips that he promised us. I'm not sure if the kitchen was having trouble or if our waiter was having a bad day. Frozen strawberry margarita was horrible - not enough strawberry taste and way too sweet. I don't care for thick corn chips, but their salsa was pretty good. There was no enchilada sauce that I liked, so I got the fajita tacos. They were ok; would have been better if the offered cheese and sour cream on the side. Delicious (but not greasy) barbacoa breakfast tacos are harder to find than a freaking unicorn but this place has them. Not to mention, their tortillas are made in house which gives them the texture of biting into a cloud of deliciousness. It's was so bad The chicken meat had a terrible smell to it and the spinach tortilla was hard as a rock. I asked the waitress for the menu to order something else and gave her my plate. She brought out the chimichanga I ordered beef I ask not to put beans and rice in it but didn't get it the way I ordered. Asked for the check and was charged for the casa de a Mmm ! Just order online for pickup at the Pflugerville location. Very very disappointed in our experience when we picked up our meal. We asked where our chips and salsa was and was told we would have to pay $5. I asked why and they said with online orders it is not complimentary but if you dined in it was! What! We got none. We dine in often at Casa Garcia. We opted not to tonight because we were both exposed to Covid and wanted to respect the staff and customers and not expose anyone by eating in. This is not the customer service we are use to there. I guess if we choose to order online we will have to open all containers there in the restaurant to verify we have what we ordered. Well I heard great things about this place but I was sadly disappointed. I ordered the chicharonnes and bean taco it was not at all what I expected. The chicharrones were mushy and nothing but fat. I let them know it qasnt what I expected and they were kind enough to take it back without charging me for it. The Carnitas Taco was great. Very flavorful and packed with meat. The chicken tacos were ok but had a sweet taste to them that was a bit unsettling not only to me but also my son. My husband had the Chicken Mole Plate. It was average at best. We have been regular customers of Casa Garcia's for several years.  Even during the pandemic we frequented the Pflugerville location for to-go orders.  We are so so very disappointed with Casa Garcia's.  We visited the Pflugerville location several days ago.  The service was extremely inadequate.  The kitchen was very slow with our orders and when we finally received our food it was wrong.  It wasn't that  it was prepared wrong, it was that it was not even the dishes we ordered.  When we received our check we were charged for not only the correct plates that we ordered but for also the wrong plates.  The server corrected that but we still left unsatisfied and frustrated.  Everyone has an occasional bad day so we decided to give Casa Garcia's Pflugerville another try this evening, Saturday, June 12.  We arrived around 6:45 p.m.  There were only four other tables in the main area occupied.  Our server delivered our margarita's and appetizer fairly quickly.  She returned twice apologizing for the delay in our food service and explained the kitchen was backed up and short staffed.  About 35 minutes went by when we heard a kitchen employee call our server over and say something about no enchiladas.  Our server returned to our table and told us the restaurant was out of cheese enchiladas.  Your restaurant......that specializes in Mexican cuisine was out of cheese enchiladas during peak time on a Saturday evening.  We were understandably upset.  We asked to speak to a manager.  He was unapologetic and when asked since he could not serve us the food we ordered after having us wait almost 45 minutes if he was going to comp our drinks and appetizer, he refused.  We paid our bill and again left your establishment unsatisfied and frustrated. This location has severe issues.  Apparently the managers are aware of the issues as there is a sign at the entrance of the restaurant asking customers for paitience.  We should have know things would be unacceptable when there are only FIVE tables occupied during a peak time.  We don't know what is going on but please please make corrections.  Until recently Casa Garcia's was our favorite go to restaurant.  Until we hear that changes have been made to improve the service and customer satisfaction we will not be returning to Casa Garcia's Pflugerville. read more

Horrible customer service!!! I went with my family around 745pm on Tuesday and started out by ordering a large queso and some drinks. We received our drinks and queso and the waitress took our order. I told her that we wanted extra salsa when they brought out the chips because my son only eats chips, salsa and queso and that was why we went there. We wait and wait and wait and I ask the waitress about chips and she said that they didn't have any. I asked her why she sold us the queso if she knew they didn't have chips and she said the person at the front should have told us. I told her that I wanted extra salsa when she came back with the chips and she said ok but never even told us there weren't chips until I had to ask again for some. I told her that I didn't want the queso because we wouldn't have ordered it if we knew there weren't chips. At that point we were going to leave because my son didn't have anything to eat. We decided to stay and told him we would just get him chick fil a after. Big mistake!! I order a beef fajita taco and it had lots of onions but 4 little pieces of fajita meat in it. My wife ordered bean and cheese nachos(yes they had chips for that) but they were stale and hard. I had to leave to go to work so my wife stayed and paid. The waitress didn't bring our check so my wife went to the front. The person at the front told her she needed to wait for the waitress. She went back and the waitress took the card. Well guess what she never took off of the bill even though she said she would. The queso!! Instead of refunding us the difference or even giving us a $10 gift card which my wife said she would take in the place of the $9.99 queso, the said there was nothing they could do and we had to call corporate to get a refund! I called my wife and asked to talk to the manager and they told us there is nothing they could do. Crazy that a restaurant that supposedly has such a good reputation as casa Garcia's has such poor quality food and can't give you a refund for something you were overcharged for. Takes no responsibility for their mistakes. Never again! People have so many options when it comes to eating out. Stay away from this place! read more

Sent back and told to cancel order. Manager was a JOKE! He was not concerned or apologetic at all. Thanks for comping friends meal and she's now sick! We still had to pay for our drinks. So it super sucks to have to write this because Casa Garcias WAS one of my favorite restaurants and i live very close to it. It seems like the people in the kitchen could give 2 f***s about to go orders. I have ordered soup everytime i get sick for the last 2/3 years and never had an issue. Then about 2 weeks ago i order caldo de res to go, i get no meat and no rice, I called and let them know, they remade the order... cool! So today i order caldo de pollo, my husband went to pick it up brings its home. I pour it into a bowl and it was legit all 99% broth, 1% veggies... im like you have got to be kidding me (mind you im sick af). So i drive up there bowl and all and show them, the manager has the order remade. Its like the kitchen decided to be smarta**s and put basically all chicken in it this time. Im over it at this point. I would suggest the owners talking to their kitchen staff about to go orders, just because its not able to be seen doesn't mean you dont do it correctly. Solid Tex-Mex. I enjoyed the Chile Relleno plate with beef fajita and my wife had a combo plate with a cheese enchilada, ground beef taco, guac, rice and refried beans. Our waitress was very attentive and courteous. The tortillas were great as well, being made to order behind a counter near the front of the restaurant -- in particular, I really liked the corn tortillas. All and all the food was delicious. We walked in at 5:20 pm Sunday the place is half empty and as we walk in, all the servers did was stare and ignore us.
