Amazing food, service, and atmosphere!! I cant stop thinking about the food. Wish I lived here just for this place!

Stop by for a late lunch with the family and was really impressed with how clean everything was right of the bat. The service was wonderful, everyone was attentive and friendly. The salsa was great and the chips were fresh. They have two types of queso which all us Texans can appreciate I got the mole enchiladas and my husband has the grande burrito. The mole was pretty good, I personally enjoy a little more heat in mine however I really did enjoy it. My husband liked his burrito a lot and the charro beans. All and all a great experience. We'll be back!

We saw all the great reviews and we were in the neighborhood. everything we tried was very good. My wife enjoyed and shared some ground beef enchiladas. Both of us ordered off their extensive lunch menu. I went with the succulent and tender beef fajita plate, it came with tortillas, rice and beans, both of us went with refried beans 'cause our grandbaby loves them.....just like me. My plate came with guacamole, pico de gallo and lots of grilled bell peppers and onions. Prices were very reasonable and the service was exemplary. When we're in the area we'll definitely be back for more of these goodies.

I have driven by Casa Medina for years (probably over 100 times) and never stopped in to try it out.... Don't make the same mistake. I visited there today and found the food fantastic, the service excellent and it was great to see the family owned and family focus. The red salsa and verde salsa were both tasty and the red salsa has a little kick as a warning for the heat challenged. Guacamole and con queso were good and the drinks were reasonable. I ordered a Coke and the glass was like 32 ounces . The margarita was a good size and only $6. Nicely decorated as well. Between the two of us we ordered a mixed appetizer dish and a combo plate to try a little of everything. The Appetizer Mixto came with Flautas, chicken empanadas, steak fajita nachos, chicken quesadilla, guacamole, pica, etc., and was excellent. Honestly, it was so much food that I took 3/4 home. All tasty and at a good price. The meal we ordered was the Casa Medina Special (seems apropos). It included: One Taco al Carbon, (1) Flauta, (1) Chile Relleno, Cheese Enchilada, Guacamole Salad & Sour Cream All were delicious and again we brought 1/2 the meal home. My one regret is that we came around 4:00 pm on a Saturday... only to find out that the music started at 6:00 pm. I would have love to have stayed. If I had one constructive feedback area it would be that although decorated with authentic Mexican items and wall art the booths and tables are a little run down. However, that would not stop me from enjoying this gem. Last comment-everyone there was attentive and smiling. How refreshing! I think 6 of the staff said thank you and goodbye when we left. Thanks Casa Medina for the great experience.

Hubby pointed out this restaurant as we were driving by it yesterday, so I looked it up here on Yelp and the pictures of enchiladas looked so good I couldn't wait long to try. It definitely did not disappoint!! The gravy had so much flavor, meat is tender. Serving is huge, which means I get to eat it again, yum! Also their pozole has very good flavor and tender meat as well. The menu is big, so much to chose from. Can't wait to come back and try more, might have found our go to spot for Mexican super cute place & was informed their is live music on the weekend!

But you can park across the mall street and walk over, just be careful when crossing traffic. Inside the place is beautifully decorated with culture and colors. Enjoyed that about the place. We checked in and promptly got seated, our initial seating was next to a window, but also next to the waiter order entry computer. Between that and my friend sitting in a wicker chair that has seen better days because she was falling into it, we requested to be moved. Our next seating was better with standard seats, but definitely crowded all around between the tables and waiters squeezing thru, made you feel packed like sardines. I get they want more patrons, but it feels a bit suffocating having everyone so bunched up like that. So much so, that when the tables behind me requested their meal that comes with a fire presentation, I felt that on the back of my neck, I wondered, Am I having hot flashes? No, just the fire blazing closely behind me. Additionally, the noise level is loud where I could barely hear my friend across the table or the waiter talking to me, I had to ask to repeat what he said many times. Our waiter, Christian, was very friendly and attentive. Since it was our first time dining there, we had questions on some items since this wasn't TexMex nor Mexican food that I had tried. So much so that if you like grasshoppers, you can have them added to your guacamole or some other offerings. I wasn't feeling rebellious enough to have tried that, so we passed. As an FYI, chips and salsa are not complimentary, you have to order them as the Salsas & Tostadas, you're provided with 3 different salsas, each with its own spice level. The main thing for me is that our main meal lacked flavor/seasoning. I got the Enmoladas (Mole de Rancho) which were smoked chicken enchiladas. Served with a side of Swiss chard. They tasted fresh, but when it came to a punch of flavor, we got none. The chard was not specifically something I enjoyed nor finished eating. We requested salt, which we didn't want to do, but adding the salt to the Enmoladas helped bring some flavor. Saw they have a brunch offering and would like to return for that and try some of their other drinks.

The food was amazing, and I honestly don't have any complaints! The horchata was perfectly sweet, just how I like it. The tequeños tasted great, and the Super Texas Burrito definitely lives up to its name, it's actually a super-sized burrito! The portion was much larger than what you typically get at other restaurants, and it was very filling. I also tried some of their desserts, and they were great as well. I especially enjoyed the bread pudding with ice cream. Overall, everything was delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was great. I'd definitely come back!

Nowadays it feels like all texmex places charge absurd prices, but I was very pleasantly surprised with the value here. $13 for a place of enchiladas suizas is a great deal. Service was super awesome here. I was sat right away, immediately served, and my food came out in less than 5 min, which is crazy. My waiter was really awesome. Overall, I will probably come back for brunch next time . But service and value is really great here.

The previous dining experience before this one, was not good, but I didn't post about it. I was really hoping it was a one time issue. The chips were so greasy you feared eating them for getting sick. The manager acknowledged how bad they were, and said they had an issue with the supplier. He said rather than not serve chips, they decided to serve them. They were inedible. Also the once delicious salsa has gotten watery. After my food arrived, I sent the taco back because the shell was the same as the chips. So greasy and the taco poured grease out of it. This last trip, the chips were better, but still very greasy and tasteless. The nachos I had would be about the quality of Chilis. No refried beans. Most restaurants layer refried beans, cheese and meat for SIX almost $20 dollar nachos. The chicken fajita meat was dry, and the beef was not good. A few bites were not edible. Another note- The once delicious tortillas were super thick and gummy. The manager came by and I explained everything to him . He didn't have much to say and didn't really seem concerned... other than taking off $2 of the bill. Which I do appreciate! It's still a beautiful restaurant, just sadly the food has changed too much for it be a top place for me.

We entered to a friendly staff who sat us immediately. The vibe is very modern with some Mexican influence. We were with another couple and I think they were under the impression that this would be Tex-Mex, but it is not. For drinks I got a Mezcalina, my wife got a normal margarita normally I don't love Mezcal, but was feeling adventurous and this drink did not disappoint, it exploded with flavor and was my favorite drink I have had here. The bar program might be the best of any restaurant in the area, as it should be since they have a speakeasy as well. In my previous trip they brought us complimentary chips and salsa, but the time they brought Mexican hummus and pita. I was initially disappointed, but this was one of the more unique complimentary dishes I have had, and loved it. For starters, we got the TOSTADA CHUTORO, which was a tostada with raw fish and caviar. There were two, and although smaller bites to share, the flavor once again really shined through. I would say this is similar to a ceviche dish with really fresh fish and bright flavors.

Food was good, but I'm not sure if I could consider anything spectacular enough to justify some of the prices. I decided on the Aguachile Wagyu, which was perfectly cooked and paired with charred herbs. Very enjoyable for a small high-protein meal. My friend ordered Tacos de Filete, which she said were, "okay." We also had a few drinks... They were heavy pours. My only complaint is that the tajin-salt rims were more for decoration (smeared across the side of the glass and not very hygienic) rather than for the palette. Worth mentioning: We were never offered any chips or salsa, although I've read reviews where other patrons enjoyed some before their meal. Our server was friendly, but a bit disconnected.... Maybe that was the biggest problem - - the experience was diminished due to lackluster service.
