I'm always trying to find a new place to go to when I'm with my mom and Casa Mia Restaurant popped up as a popular spot in Mountain View so why not. They're located in a small plaza with other businesses so parking isn't tough and free. It was an off day when my mom and I showed up this past Friday afternoon. There was only one waitress working the entire floor and she was doing the best she can with making drinks, taking orders, bringing food out, all while smiling. At one point, one of the workers in the back came out to help her deliver the food. At this point, my mom and I had seated ourselves, grabbed our own menus and utensils, and practiced patience. She opted for their tuna melt and subbed salad over fries and I got their country fried steak with hash browns and an egg. The food came out relatively fast and I felt like the flavors were lacking a bit for my country fried steak. The tuna melt was also a tad too salty. I've been here twice now while visiting a friend in the area and both times were great experiences! It's very busy here on the weekends, especially during brunch hours, and I can taste why! The chilaquiles with green sauce here are superb in flavor, and service was both efficient and quick. Indoor seating was well lit with many windows for natural lighting. The red sauce does leave something to be desired in comparison to the green sauce. The iced mazapán latte was tasty, however fair warning; their coffee and latte drinks are VERY sweet. My wife and I came here and had the tres leches french toast, horchata latte, breakfast burrito, and chilaquiles with cilantro sauce. Everything was delicious and we'll definitely be back! Heck, I would be back to have the horchata latte and chilaquiles with cilantro sauce! I LOVED that sauce! Our only VERY MINOR complaint was that the tres leches french toast was not evenly soaked (weird thing to say, I know) so one slice was basically dry and had no tres leches flavor. Visited on a Sunday with about a 30 minute wait, which is pretty normal for the weekend. The menu has a fun Mexican inspired angle. We had the breakfast burger, breakfast burrito and churro french toast. Everything was fine but nothing stood out enough for me to want to wait that long again. It's been a while since I've found a restaurant worthy of surpassing 5 stars - I'm so glad I found Casa Mia! We came last Monday around 2pm while waiting for our car to be serviced. It was a last-minute whim because we were originally going to go to this other restaurant but I decided last minute that I wanted brunch food. It was a SUPER hot day (98 degrees in Mountain View) and we had our dogs with us but we needed somewhere with a shady outdoors that was willing to take us. Casa Mia took us in and how lucky we were! :') We were greeted immediately and seated by Luz, who was suuuper sweet to us the entire stay. She was super patient, considering that we did that annoying thing where we come in 1 hour before closing (they close at 3) and there was no other customer in the restaurant so I didn't want to keep them from closing. But she was so kind nonetheless, and had really great suggestions. She gave our dogs iced water :* and made sure that we were comfy in the heat! We had the Chilaquiles and the Tres Leches French Toast... and both of them speak for themselves in the photos... Need I say more? Truly both some of the best breakfast dishes I've had to this day and I've been to so many brunch places since breakfast is the most important meal of every day to me. I can tell that both dishes were made with so much love. Lots of thought and flavoring were put into both and I was very impressed. The sauces that we chose for the Chilaquiles complemented the dish so well. The chefs definitely know what they are doing. I cannot wait to bring all of my friends and family here so that they can enjoy Casa Mia for themselves. 10/10, will highly recommend to everyone we know and we'll DEFINITELY be back! read more

This place was great! They said it was only their second day open to the public so my expectations were low but I was surprised by how great the experience was! My wife and I attended Casa Mia's soft launch, and the experience was outstanding. The interior is beautiful--warm, inviting, and authentically styled. You can immediately feel the pride and care from the owner and staff. We had casually asked a few days earlier when they were opening, and being invited to their friends-and-family soft opening was incredibly humbling. That gesture alone speaks volumes about the kind of place this is. For food, I ordered the Eggs Benedict with an espresso, and my wife had the veggie Benedict. Everything was prepared exceptionally well. The hollandaise sauce was spot on--easily on par with LG Café's, which says a lot. The bacon was perfectly crispy, the English muffins toasted just right, and the espresso was solid and well made. My wife loved her veggie Benedict and agreed the hollandaise was done perfectly. The poached eggs were cooked to the ideal temperature--set whites with a perfectly runny yolk. While there are a few decent breakfast spots in the area, Casa Mia easily ranks among the best local breakfasts we've had. We're already looking forward to coming back to try the mimosas, Mexican hot chocolate, breakfast chilaquiles, and breakfast burritos. Complementary Mexican bread was amazing, portions were big and the flavor was unique, loved the chicharron & eggs... on the spicy side for sure, it comes with tortillas and beans... 10/10. This restaurant just opened on August 18th 2024. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is perfect for a breakfast or brunch for all occasions. (Girls day, couples date, family breakfast) They offer bottomless mimosas for $35 a person. They do sell different juices for the mimosas and beer. They have different types of beverages They also offer catering. Their menu is easy to understand. You are able to switch the salsas for the dishes (red, green, chipotle, cilantro, chile poblano). You may add toppings for an extra charge ranging from $5-$6 (steak, chicken, chorizo, linguisa, Birria) We tried the huevos rancheros, the chirraron & eggs, Nutella Pancackes with strawberries and bananas (you can choose only strawberry or banana- I wanted both) Warning: they are spicy, but so yummy. First time we tried Casa Mia and we were legitimately blown away by how good the food was!! I got the steak and eggs and the steak tasted like it was seasoned with ThatDudeCanCook's rosemary salt (iykyk). So delicious. Eggs and potatoes tasted awesome too and at like $25 it was a pretty good deal considering other places charge like $10 more. My husband got the french toast and we were surprised how amazing it was. Fruit was fresh, nutella was generous, and they had this crazy orange zest butter that crazy elevated the french toast. The drinks were a big miss for us - the hot chocolate tasted like Mexican hot chocolate with the spices but super watered down and the orange juice tasted very pithy. The interior was way too warm but I think maybe other people would've enjoyed it? We were so impressed and look forward to coming back for breakfast and dinner some time :D read more
