Chilequiles were so good! Crunchy tortillas with really good sauce, wasn't dry at all, I changed the cheese to queso fresco because it originally comes with Monterey cheese. We also got the Steak and Eggs, steak is 8oz, was cooked really well. The crepes were 2/10, there's no sauce and the inside was sour cream type. So it tasted bad. Maybe if they had a strawberry syrup or lechera on top it would help. But it was sour the crepes. We also got the horchata iced latte, that was good! I came with my friend for brunch this Sunday. This restaurant appeared on my social media a couple times and we were near the area so I thought today would be a great time to try their food. Upon arriving it looked like there would be a long wait however the host informed us it would be 25min (we only waited 10min). We were seated by the window and the server was kind and patient while we placed our order. I ordered from the specials, which was the Mexican Wet Omelette which included chorizo and veggies inside the omelette and was generously in salsa verde. This plate also came with potatoes. I enjoyed the flavors of my plate. I wish I had more space to also try the Churro French Toast which also sounded super appetizing (maybe next time). Looking over at my friend's Chilaquiles, I did feel that there should've been more chilaquiles than beans but that's my opinion, however, she still enjoyed them and had no complaints herself. Overall, the staff was helpful and friendly and overall the energy of the restaurant was cozy and it wasn't super loud inside making it easy to hold conversation with my friend. Wow, my food was sooo good. I had chilaquiles with red sauce and added birria. The Birria was fall apart tender, I didn't need a knife. The portion was great. The beans were delicious and clearly homemade. The red sauce is slightly spicy (as the waitress advised me) and I loved it. I finished with a hot horchata oak milk latte which was heavenly. Also the place is lovely. It's a vibe--the plates, utensils, glassware everything is beautiful. The place is super clean and staff cleaned each table with method cleaner between each seating. Found this place just through searching online and I'm so happy we went. I had their weekend special biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and bacon. The portions were generous and it was absolutely delicious. We need more restaurants like this that put real thought into their menu and ingredients. We had a flight of 4 mimosa flavors and in order of best to least good was Guava, Mango, Lychee, and Orange. Also had the tres leches French toast with strawberries and it was a delicious sweet desert to end an amazing breakfast. Service was good and quick, can't really complain. This is a hidden gem in a random part of Mountain View. So glad Yelp helped me find this place. It's going to be a regular stop for us. Food: My order was chicharrones & eggs. My husband got the chilaquiles with chorizo and my friend got chilaquiles with no added protein option. We also shared the Caribbean French Toast. Everything was delicious and tasty!!! I really loved my order. It came in a house special sauce which was more spicy than the available homemade sauces they have in their list but it was really good. Save yourself the drive, it is not worth it. The wait time was 30 minutes, which was not too bad. Our server Naomi came once to take our order and never came back until it was time to bring us our bill. When the meals arrived they were cold and my sister had to flag someone down for napkins, syrup for her French toast and coffee refills. It looks like her family was sitting having lunch outside in the patio because she kept eating their food and catering to them. The best thing per my daughter was the 4$ canned coke! My friends and I decided to try this place one morning to catch up and see the kids and while the staff was initially friendly and the food was good, they didn't take too kindly to having kids at the restaurant so I'm not sure if this is a kid friendly restaurant. They were playing with the pillow at the little neon light seat area and one of the staff kind of awkwardly took it from them and propped it back up. If they had a problem with this, I would've preferred them to let me know they preferred them not to touch the pillow and I would've handled it. Service was horrible! Overpriced and small portions. Unfortunately, today my dining experience was disappointing, to say the least. I ordered the egg croissant, with cheese, eggs, bacon, and chipotle mayo. For $18, I expected a sandwich that would get me somewhat full - instead, I received a small croissant sandwich with only bacon! Took me a while to flag down a waitress and get someone's attention to notify them I was missing items. I asked for a side of mayo sauce, I was charged $2 for a portion smaller than a fast food sauce! (I told the waitress "next time please inform the customer of an additional charge of $2 for the sauce). My husband ordered the chilaquiles, which came very dry, and he asked for extra sauce. He was also given an extremely small portion, for $2, and it was cold - halfway through the meal and after waiting excessively. The staff didn't seem to care. They deducted the cost of the missing egg and cheese, but by that time, I only ate half the sandwich and was ready to go. The French toast tasted great and the chilaquiles tasted good, except for being dry - definitely needs more sauce. We were not offered or given water, nor were we checked on during our dining. The ratings are what brought us here, but the experience here is disappointing. We were told 5-10 minute wait, that time was doubled. When seated we were almost forgotten and our order was not taken for another 10 minutes sitting with our menus closed. After ordering we noticed other tables seated before us still waiting for their food. Already now a 30 minute wait from ordering to now, which led me to writing this review. Overall now we are reaching 1 hr from seating waiting to order and still no food. I am confused why they seated people without the capacity to produce the food efficiently for their customers. So far the wait times are abnormal, especially for brunch food. We have ordered a sausage burrito, pancakes and belgian waffles. We will not be returning, this isn't Disneyland I wouldve been on space mountain by the time I get my food. Instead, We have now received the food and the staff offered OJ to compensate for the wait.
