The breakfast club never disappoints for delicious brunch! I've been to this location a couple of times and have enjoyed it every time. He first time I came here, I was able to come with my friend and we happened to meet the owner who was super nice and talked to us about how he made the design choices of the restaurant. We both definitely appreciated the attention to detail from the decor to the bathrooms to the food! I sadly do not have pictures handy to add to this review but the next time I go, I'll add pictures! This is in the San Antonio shopping center and there is a parking garage close by where you can usually find parking. There is also private street parking right in front but hay is usually harder to get to. I've never had to wait long at this location which is so nice for the experience when you are hungry for brunch! I've gotten the pancake flight as well as their omelette and Benedicts and I havent had a miss yet! The lattes are cute and delicious with enough caffeine to kick start your day. I have no complaints about this place and definitely recommend going hete for brunch. I can say that I used to live on LA where there is plenty of delicious brunch places and I am so happy that The Breakfast Club has opened spots here in the bay for my brunch fix! read more

3rd time at The Breakfast Club. First 2 times were great. Previously had the normal hash, BLT, trio pancakes, and a Benedict. All was so good. This 3rd time around, the service was very subpar, especially for a Thursday weekday. Had to wait a decent amount of time to get greeted at the door. Minimal smiles. Server was the bare minimum or less. Barely made eye contact. Wasn't attentive. We had to grab our own take out boxes. When the check came he just dropped off the machine and told us to press the button but it was the check for the wrong table. Just didn't seem like he cared. The food was mediocre. Short rib hash definitely not as good as the normal hash. The lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes was ok. And the kids chicken strips meal was the worst. Dry and tasted like it was re-fried. The fries were so salty I had to dust them off for the kiddo. Sadly was really hoping this place would continue being our brunch place. Please step up your service. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped by for brunch after the gym, on a Thursday morning and we were seated immediately. The interior is beautifully decorated with options for both indoor and outdoor seating. Been here several times but forget to write a review so we came back on a Saturday morning. There was a bit of a wait, but shoutout to Yelp for the waitlist check in to make things much easier. The wait time said 12 minutes, but we waited about 7 minutes and our table was ready. The people are friendly and accommodating, but there was a bit of wait, but overall service was great. Ordered a Jalisco Omelette and my daughter got the Santa Maria skillet. Jalisco Omelette: Seasoned very well and flavorful. Got a side of hash browns & sourdough toast. The has towns were very crispy and the omelette had a right amount of sour cream drizzle with avocado. Santa Maria: Got the eggs scrambled over the steak and it paired very well with the side of potato. The steak was medium so it was very juicy. Came in with a friend on a Sunday and we're able to skip the hour+ wait by joining the community table! I always love when places have those as options because I don't mind extra table mates! We ordered fairly quickly and then it was a bit of a waiting game. My friend definitely got his coffee a good 15 minutes before I did (to be fair, I got a fancier drink!) and we split a pancake flight, which I always love because a girl loves options, and a Benedict. They were kind enough to supply share plates and everything we had was good. The pancakes were definitely on the sweeter side! The only hiccup was that at the end of our meal, we asked for a togo box, waiter said he'd be right back, and then never did. It took us about 20 minutes after our meal to flag someone down! Amazing spot for brunch. Super cool interiors, trendy and modern, definitely one of the better looking brunch spots in Mountain View. Crab cake Benedict and tiramisu pancakes were my absolute favorites, both stood out. California French toast is next level too, loaded with so many fresh fruits it's basically dessert. Everything on the menu felt like it had some kind of twist to it, not your typical brunch spot. Portions were generous and everything came out fresh. Service can be better and faster though, a bit of a wait for a weekend brunch spot, but the food more than made up for it. Highly recommended for brunch, especially if you're craving something trendy with a good spread of options. Would definitely go back to try more off the menu. read more

The Breakfast Club at Midtown in Palo Alto is an absolute must try! I love a good eggs benedict, and the eggs benedict that I ordered exceeded my expectations. I ordered the Midtown Duo since it offered the best of two worlds. One side was crabcake benedict, and the other was steak and shrimp. There was an up-charge for the steak and shrimp, but absolutely totally worth it! The crabcake benedict was delectable. The crabcake was nicely crisp on the exterior, and so incredibly flavorful. It's everything you want from a crabcake. It was so delicious. I could eat this every day. The hollandaise sauce was made perfectly, and it pulled together the flavor of the crabcake, and the lightly toasted English muffin for the perfect bite. The steak and shrimp were mouthwatering. Both super tasty and properly prepared. Did I mention how delicious the hollandaise was?! Over the steak and shrimp, it definitely was setting me up for food coma, but in the best possible way! The eggs Benedict came with hashbrowns that were prepared the way you'd expect to find them in a diner. Perfectly salted, crispy, and definitely worth eating. I originally was planning on ordering a soft drink to go with my meal, but ended up grabbing a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was underwhelming. I definitely should have ordered the soft drink. I've now come here twice. I first came here on a Sunday around 10:30. Parking is always a bit tricky but if you drive a bit, there are a few different other spots to park in, including a garage. We had about a 35 minute wait for a table. I got drip coffee and breakfast nachos without the chorizo. Service wasn't the best, I kept repeatedly getting offered coffee but we were unable to get water refills despite asking multiple times. The second time I came was on a Friday mid morning and it was much less busy, no wait for a table, but the service was still lacking. This time, we had two waters dropped off but our coffee order was completely wrong, we had to wait about 20 mins just to order, food came out about 15 mins apart (only 2 dishes) and one of our sides never came. Then we discovered the bill was wrong at the end and we were over charged. The food is ok, not as good as the San Jose location and with the service, I'm not sure I'll be back. Victor is the reason this review starts with five stars. The food was good, but the service is what we'll remember. Victor was friendly from the moment we sat down, and the rest of the team was just as attentive. Someone was always stopping by to top off our coffee or check if we needed anything, without it ever feeling like too much. The restaurant has a relaxed neighborhood feel, surrounded by yoga studios, gyms, and other wellness spots. It fits the area perfectly. I ordered the Trio with the Cookie Butter, Peach Cobbler, and Tiramisu pancakes. They looked even better than they tasted, which isn't a bad thing - the presentation was beautiful, and the pancakes were still enjoyable. My breakfast companion ordered the Santa Cruz skillet with grilled salmon and cleaned his plate. We'll definitely be back. Easily my favorite breakfast spot. Original location in SJ on San Carlos had terrible parking. Only went once, must have been 10 years ago by now. This location is in a very nice plaza next to all kinds of other restaurants and shops. Parking is plentiful and free, whether private street parking right in front of it, or tons of huge parking garages surrounding it. The place and food are all very chique and delicious. Lots of instagram-able entrees that look incredible and taste as such, too. They also have Pepper Plant hot sauce which is one of my favorites. Great food and great parking, you won me over. read more

Seems like each time I come the service and quality continue to decline sadly - I love the large fun menu and keep looking forward to coming and then getting a blah experience which is very sad. I also keep bringing new people with me and now they are starting to doubt my recommendations after eating here. The place has a really nice vibe, and everyone working there was friendly. I got a regular coffee and the turkey sandwich. Sadly, the sandwich just wasn't for me. Everything kept falling out, so I ended up eating it with a knife and fork. The turkey also didn't seem fully cooked. I wasn't that hungry, so I didn't say anything. On the other hand, the homemade hash browns were probably the best I've ever had. My friend got the gluten-free pancakes, and they looked amazing. The coffee was really good too. I really LOVE this breakfast spot. This was my first time at this location, and we were very pleased with the new spot. I promise, everything on the menu is good! If you're feeling sweet, try the pancake trio. If you're feeling savory, the omelets are a good size and you can add just about anything to it. The eggs Benedict are also fantastic. But this time I tried a skillet and it may be my new favorite - it comes out on a hot skillet and it's got a little crisp to it. They've even got some good brunchy drinks if that's you're thing. 30 minute wait for sunday brunch for a group of 4. Not too bad. The coffee flight was very tempting, but since Im gluten free and cant have the cookie butter latte, i got a regular latte and it was good. If you get coffee, you can get free refills like a traditional diner. I opted in for the farm house omelette and it was almost perfect. I wished there was cheese. I paired it with the herb potatoes and wouldn't get this side again. Probably the hash browns next time. We also ordered the katsu Benedict but the chicken is extremely overcooked. The interior of this place reflects that sentiment with incredibly high ceilings and sprawling table layout. Maybe it's because I came on a weekday lunch but it was pretty empty so I had no wait and the staff was heavily focused on my table. I understand they are being friendly and they were very attentive. The wait is insane during the weekend. We got here at 11:15 on Sunday and had to wait for 1:15. We probably wouldn't come had we known the wait is so long. The breakfast club is a classic. We've been here so many times. Our go-tos are the Korean style chicken waffle (honestly I found the waffle too dry but the Korean spicy sauce makes up to it and the midtown trio. The pancakes are really good and what they are known for probably. Their French toast is always too dry at all three locations we've been (MTV, SJ, and Campbell). Our surprise find this time was the Carnitas Benedict, it's got a good balance in flavor: tasty and not too much that you get sick of it after one bene. Survive and vibe were ok. Not bad overall. The customer service is friendly and the food is generally good, but there are several minor improvements that could be made to elevate the service and experience. The host area is quite small and too close to the door. It's a bit of a squeeze to get in, wait in line, and get back out. You have to walk by the busy kitchen to get to the bathroom, and I know that this is not uncommon, but this particular setup feels like there's an accident waiting to happen. I ordered a veggie hash, which according to the website, comes with avocado, but not in reality. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my dish came with toast or coffee cake, but they forgot about it, so I asked to bring the coffee cake home. When I got home, I was disappointed to find a small slice compared to what I had seen other people getting served, but I guess it worked out because it was a bit dry and the taste was "meh ." The raspberry cream cheese french toast was good but way too sweet! When one of the servers was removing a plate, he dropped a dirty fork in my lap and retreived it. Accidents happen, but next time, let the customer retrieve it if it's in their lap! I liked that the friendly manager was helping out and that the servers were kind and had good hustle. I'm not sure if I would return at this price point, but I do appreciate the business' effort. read more

The interior is very nice and spacious with lots of seatings indoors and a smaller patio for outdoor seating options ~the food~ - Short rib hash ($22): A mix of potatoes, braised short ribs, poached eggs an hollandaise sauce on a skillet. The short ribs were very tender and nicely cooked! i wished the potatoes were a bit more crispy as the entire dish had a somewhat mushy texture? - Garbage Plate skillet ($20): Really loved that they had a big mixture of veggies in the dish, which added a nice texture! also really liked the coffee cake that came with it! super fluffy! ~overall~ staff were very friendly, and portions were also very generous! i'd say the food quality is pretty good, maybe not as good as other higher priced brunch places like Sweet Maple or Son & Garden, but still a solid choice! read more

We've been to the SJ location as well as the San Mateo location - both have been solid experiences. The food we had at this one was still good, but there were some misses with today's experience. We ordered a hash and a scramble and our waitress mentioned the scramble usually comes with the sauce on the side (hollandaise and sour cream) so we were like great! Except when our food came, no sauce was given. We had to flag a bus boy down which took quite a bit of time. When the sauce came, it was accidentally given to another table right next to us and one of the bus boys quickly corrected it. We also noticed the iced coffee we ordered was quite watered down - it looked more like iced tea. Was it always like this or is the iced coffee supposed to taste like slightly bitter water? During our payment, we asked for a to-go box for leftovers. After a couple minutes, we realized she forgot, so we had to flag her down again. Overall, while the food was good, service could use a bit more attention. The staff were relatively friendly at least, and shoutout to the busboy who quickly notified about our lost sauce haha. read more

Came here for brunch on Thursday with my husband. Parking was easy in a nearby parking garage. Hadn't been to other The Breakfast Club locations, but this location was huge, and a bit more upscale than your usual mom-and-pop brunch places. Inside, they had a bar near the entrance, booths against the opposite wall, banquette seating along the back wall, high tables near the front, and plenty of regular tables in the middle. They had an outdoor patio as well. They weren't too busy around 9am on a weekday, and we're able to get the last booth. Service was friendly, and our food came out really quickly. I had Earl Grey tea and a Farm House Omelette with herb potatoes and wheat toasts. It was well prepared, even though nothing really stood out. Toasts could have been toasted for a little longer. The slice of orange was dry, maybe it's more of a decoration. Not a big deal. The omelette was a bit on the bland side, but they had plenty of condiments at the table to compensate that. Portion size was good. I was really stuffed after finishing everything. Our coffee and tea were refilled promptly. Overall, it's a really solid brunch place. I liked that the environment was relaxing and comfortable, and their menu was pretty extensive. Expectations were very much higher but hey you wont know until you give it a shot. Place itself looks really nice inside and out. Was seated for breakfast on a Friday and tables were quite full. Server came and took our order but what confused me was the menu not stating what the omelettes come with for sides unless I missed it. Latte was very bland and not sweet when I initially asked our server if it was. Ordered the chicken sausage omelette and although the portion size can be shared between two people, it was very mediocre at its best. I would expect the taste to be a little better but it wasnt. The hashbrown were just awful and so oily didnt even finish eating it. Our server wasn't really attentive and checked in once and i had to flag him down for to go boxes and receipt. Not to mention I asked for whole wheat toast twice and he brought me sourdough. Would I recommend this place? Probably not, the other reviews speak the same as the food is very plain, nothing special about them. You definitely have better options nearby like Good Morning Cafe that offers quality. read more

I honestly don't know another breakfast place in the area where you can get a crab cake benedict for $22. Plenty of seating with a nice patio area and a cute indoor area.
