    Breakfast nachos
    Karina M.

I've now come here twice. I first came here on a Sunday around 10:30. Parking is always a bit tricky but if you drive a bit, there are a few different other spots to park in, including a garage. We had about a 35 minute wait for a table. I got drip coffee and breakfast nachos without the chorizo. Service wasn't the best, I kept repeatedly getting offered coffee but we were unable to get water refills despite asking multiple times. The second time I came was on a Friday mid morning and it was much less busy, no wait for a table, but the service was still lacking. This time, we had two waters dropped off but our coffee order was completely wrong, we had to wait about 20 mins just to order, food came out about 15 mins apart (only 2 dishes) and one of our sides never came. Then we discovered the bill was wrong at the end and we were over charged. The food is ok, not as good as the San Jose location and with the service, I'm not sure I'll be back. Was so excited to have a closer location but I think there may be a few more kinks to be worked out

Midtown Trio - Cookie Butter Pancakes, Peach Cobbler Cakes and Tiramisu Pancakes

Victor is the reason this review starts with five stars. The food was good, but the service is what we'll remember. Victor was friendly from the moment we sat down, and the rest of the team was just as attentive. Someone was always stopping by to top off our coffee or check if we needed anything, without it ever feeling like too much. The restaurant has a relaxed neighborhood feel, surrounded by yoga studios, gyms, and other wellness spots. It fits the area perfectly. I ordered the Trio with the Cookie Butter, Peach Cobbler, and Tiramisu pancakes. They looked even better than they tasted, which isn't a bad thing - the presentation was beautiful, and the pancakes were still enjoyable. My breakfast companion ordered the Santa Cruz skillet with grilled salmon and cleaned his plate. We'll definitely be back. Great service has a way of making a meal memorable, and Victor and the team absolutely delivered.

The Breakfast Club at Midtown in Palo Alto is an absolute must try! I love a good eggs benedict, and the eggs benedict that I ordered exceeded my expectations. I ordered the Midtown Duo since it offered the best of two worlds. One side was crabcake benedict, and the other was steak and shrimp. There was an up-charge for the steak and shrimp, but absolutely totally worth it! The crabcake benedict was delectable. The crabcake was nicely crisp on the exterior, and so incredibly flavorful. It's everything you want from a crabcake. It was so delicious. I could eat this every day. The hollandaise sauce was made perfectly, and it pulled together the flavor of the crabcake, and the lightly toasted English muffin for the perfect bite. The steak and shrimp were mouthwatering. Both super tasty and properly prepared. Did I mention how delicious the hollandaise was?! Over the steak and shrimp, it definitely was setting me up for food coma, but in the best possible way! The eggs Benedict came with hashbrowns that were prepared the way you'd expect to find them in a diner. Perfectly salted, crispy, and definitely worth eating. I originally was planning on ordering a soft drink to go with my meal, but ended up grabbing a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was underwhelming. I definitely should have ordered the soft drink. Great service, great food, great experience!

Everything is soooo good here! We added our name to the waitlist si we didn't have to wait too long. The portions are super generous and tasty, The wait staff is also very friendly and atmosphere is lively and casual. Super great place for a family breakfast in the weekends. The fresh OJ is also very good and quite reasonable for inky $7!

Came here after work to decompressed. It was perfect. Delicious food and drinks. Seating areas are very comfortable and we didn't have to wait for service. We spend up to 3 hrs and we felt that we were not rush. I love our servicer, he was so nice!! The food: everyone loved their food. I got the Benedict and it was perfect. The egg was perfectly cooked and the hollandaise is chef kiss. From our group of 6, no one complained about their food, drinks or service. Downside: Hard to find parking.

This restaurant is located in an upscale setting where many white collar workers are living. The interior of this place reflects that sentiment with incredibly high ceilings and sprawling table layout. Maybe it's because I came on a weekday lunch but it was pretty empty so I had no wait and the staff was heavily focused on my table. I understand they are being friendly and they were very attentive. Food-wise I thought the sausage and eggs were bland. The extravagance of the location seemed enticing but you should just come here for mimosas. It will give the food some flavor.

I went with a friend for a Sunday brunch and ordered the short rib hash with some mimosa. I liked the variety of mimosas and the short rib hash was very savory and worked well. The staff were friendly and the interior is nicely decorated.

Easily my favorite breakfast spot. Original location in SJ on San Carlos had terrible parking. Only went once, must have been 10 years ago by now. This location is in a very nice plaza next to all kinds of other restaurants and shops. Parking is plentiful and free, whether private street parking right in front of it, or tons of huge parking garages surrounding it. The place and food are all very chique and delicious. Lots of instagram-able entrees that look incredible and taste as such, too. They also have Pepper Plant hot sauce which is one of my favorites. Great food and great parking, you won me over.

    Turkey sandwich w hashbrowns

The place has a really nice vibe, and everyone working there was friendly. I got a regular coffee and the turkey sandwich. Sadly, the sandwich just wasn't for me. Everything kept falling out, so I ended up eating it with a knife and fork. The turkey also didn't seem fully cooked. I wasn't that hungry, so I didn't say anything. On the other hand, the homemade hash browns were probably the best I've ever had. My friend got the gluten-free pancakes, and they looked amazing. The coffee was really good too. I think I just got unlucky with my order because everything else was great. I'd definitely come back and try something different.

Definitely a trendy spot. The inside decor and presentation of the food/drinks are all visually appealing. However, if I were to rate just the food itself, it's just average. Once was enough and I'd rather try new spots for brunch.

Came here for brunch. Extensive menu with lots of choices. Wish they had standard breakfast options. They had something that looked like the more you added to eggs the more expensive it got. Anyway, the service was great. It was a Friday morning so not too busy. No wait either. Clean restaurant and clean bathrooms. The menus were also clean. Not sticky. I ordered the avocado toast. The eggs were perfectly poached and the whole thing was seasoned well. I wish the toast used better bread (not sliced bread) and was toasted more. Otherwise, it was a nice place to eat.

Dropped by after rock climbing! Loved the trio option for people like me who wants to try everything. The raspberry French toast flavors went well with each other for a creamy and tart flavor. The tiramisu pancakes topped with so much marscapon cream! The blueberry lemon ricotta pancakes had a wonderful lemon zest. Wasn't a fan of the peaches as it tasted like canned peaches. Limited parking. Friendly service. Brunch vibes. Thanks!

Unfortunately, we left regretting that decision. From the start, the experience felt unwelcoming when we were seated with our 3-year-old daughter. There was no single overtly disrespectful moment, but the overall tone and repeated small interactions made us feel like we were being judged for having a child with us. At one point, when our daughter accidentally dropped her fork while playing, the reaction we received came across as frustration, which added to that feeling. We understand not every restaurant is designed for young children, but Broma presents itself as a place for friends and family. Instead, we felt like we had to constantly manage and overcorrect normal toddler behavior, which created stress and took away from what should have been a special occasion. Because of that, we didn't feel comfortable raising concerns during the meal when the server checked in--we were more focused on getting through the experience without drawing additional attention. We were also offered an off-menu item without any mention of price. The menu we were given did not list the smash burger, so when I ordered a double, I had no context for the cost. The final price was a surprise, and we would have made a different decision with that information upfront. The food itself did not match the price point. The "smash burger" was not prepared in the style typically expected, and overall the meal felt underwhelming for the cost. Lastly, the billing was confusing. The paper receipt listed "gratuity," while the digital receipt labeled the same charge as a "service charge," making it unclear whether an additional tip was expected. That lack of clarity does not align with the level of transparency expected at this price point. We don't mind paying for a great experience, especially for meaningful occasions, but this visit did not meet that standard and ultimately left us regretting our choice to celebrate here.

Perfect portioning and the salad that came with it had a fantastic dressing. I pulled some chicken out and gave it to my wife and then it was perfect, a bit too overstuff before. My wife loved this so much it made her question every time she didn't order it before. Fried egg sandwich: two over easy eggs on house baked brioche bun, chipotle aioli, avocado, bacon, cheddar cheese, fried shallot. Kids loved this and happily ate the leftover after. Iced Mexican Cafe: delicious iced coffee with a distinct Mexican taste. Distrito Verde: mezcal, basil, lemon, and falernum. Simple but refreshing brunch cocktail, really paired well with the mole tacos. Chips and salsa: These are not free but worth the price. Both the chips and the 2 salsa are of extremely good quality and preparation. Abnormally tasty and the kids went crazy eating it.

Drinks: Garden Spritz and the Ube matcha latte - not too overly sweet but great flavor and not too much alcohol! Would come back to order the other options they have. Food: Crispy thoroughly cooked through diced potatoes are to die for. I still remember the crisp crunch. The chicken waffles? I don't usually get these but this is a place I would definitely come back to just so I can eat this one specifically because I know it's good. The chicken was tender and not dried out, the waffles had flavor and the proportion was perfect!

Final Thoughts: 4.20/5.0…read more Contrary to many other opinions, I personally really like brunch. It really is more for the vibes and spending time with my friends and family versus the food sometimes. For some reason, this place has always been on my list of to-go brunch places, but I've just never had the chance to go here. After our matcha run, my friend and I decided to go here for brunch. It was around a 45 minute wait today. On their Yelp, appears to be quite the quaint place to to get food and relax. Will definitely be a 4 star for me. Food: Jumbo Crab Bene with seasonal fruit: 4.0/5 This is their fresh lump crab with sliced avocado, whole grain mustard and poached eggs stacked on lightly toasted English muffins, topped with scratch made Hollandaise sauce and garnished with locally sourced microgreens. This is served with either house potatoes or seasonal fruits. The lump crab is actually fresh crab I believe. There are some pieces of the shell that were still in there. I'm honestly not even mad because that's a pretty big indicator that it's the fresh crab meat picked out. The egg is nicely poached with a runny yolk. Hollandaise sauce is quite nice and light. The Dijon mustard was quite strong for me and did overwhelm some of the other flavors on the plate. It does add a nice flavor, but occasionally, it was too much. For the English muffin, it was quite thick, so it felt kind of dry. It's noted to be slightly toasted, but its somewhat hard to tell with the mustard, crab meat, and poached egg on top, which are mainly wet items. Avocado is perfectly ripe. I'm not an avocado person, but this one did it just right for me. The fruits came with blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, apples, cantaloupe, and honeydew. Very refreshing and needed after the savory foods. Philly Steak Sandwich with garlic fries: 4.0/5 This sandwich has grilled steak with peppers, onions, and mushrooms topped with provolone cheese on a toasted baguette with mayo and a light teriyaki drizzle. Will come with either a side of house salad or garlic fries. I really liked how they caramelized the onions and peppers inside of this. There's that additional sweetness from it that works well with the steak and cheese. Very tender meat. The bread also seemed kind of big and just almost dry too. Not too big of a concern given the amount of filling that they give. My friend choose the garlic fries and those were amazing. The cut is just right and the crisp on the outside is just so good. You can taste the garlic, but I could do with even more garlic to it. --------- Quality: Fresh Something I really like is that they use real crab in their jumbo crab bene. You can actually feel the tiny pieces of the shell in it, which usually means its fresh. The food did take a second to come out, but both were piping hot. My friends onions and veggies were quite caramelized, which is nice. Brings out a lot of the flavor component in the sandwich. The fries were actually so good too. I wanted the side of garli fries, but it was convenient that his came with it. Super crispy, nice size, flavor is good. May need a little more fresh garlic, but overall, really good. Price: Reasonable Prices seem reasonable for what they give. Initially, it does lean more on the expensive side, but their portion sizes are larger than your average brunch place. Prices will range from between $18 to $24, with a few outliers. Service: Very sweet workers Very nice service here. Everyone was sweet, greeted us, and checked on us. Our food did take a little longer than some others around us. For us, it was around a 25-30 minute wait after ordering our food. Even the table next to us that were seated after got their food first. The food did come out fresh, so I'm not really complaining. They did let us know and give us little updates about our wait and food though. Ambiance: Classic Brunch Spot The space is nice and looks slightly cramped inside. It was just my friend and I and they gave us a seat right in the corner next to the window. Honestly, probably the best spot for me and the person who seated us also noted that it was his favorite spot in the house. I didn't see much beyond from what was seen by the door. The space looks fairly small, but fit a decent amount of tables with walking space in between still. Always love the open kitchen. It's fun to watch what happens behind the scenes. Location/Parking: Large space It's located right on Saratoga Avenue. There is a Lucky grocery store here, so there is a lot of parking around. We really didn't have any concerns finding a space at all.

I thought some dishes were great; the wagyu burger was decadent. Other dishes were not that special. The scallops didn't taste too fresh (likely frozen) and combining them with hummus didn't quite work. The side of bread was practically insulting. $5 for stale table bread was a surprise. Dishes arrived very late; we were nearly forgotten when we tried to order, and then after ordering, we waited 40 minutes between appetizers and the main course. Not because they were cooking it; they just forgot we were there and when they brought out the dishes, the scallops were no longer just-cooked, and the burger had been sitting for a bit. No apology, just an acknowledgment it was late, and no discount (not even on the stale bread). They offered us wine, we said we didn't drink, and they just moved on. I debated a lot about how to review this. It's my personal experience that was disappointing, and I'm glad some reviews are very upbeat. But there's a handful of reviews noting frustrating delays... and that needs to be worked on.

It's pretty nice for a night out with friends/family or a date night. I had never been to this restaurant so I was expecting typical basic American food. BOY was I wrong. Eureka! Is anything but typical. I was amazed by the selection of food and drinks they had. I ended up going with the Wagyu Bone Marrow Burger with the Truffle Cheese Fries and Crispy Glazed Brussels Sprouts. I am definitely a texture person, so I thought that the burger would be too soft for my liking but I decided to try it anyway. Wow. Let me tell you, that burger was the juiciest burger I have EVER had in my life. I tried my best to finish it all but it was honestly too much and I had to sadly leave some behind. The fries were nothing too crazy to rave about. Yes they tasted like truffle but I wish they would of been tossed in truffle oil and had the cheese sauce on it. It needed more truffle for my liking. The Brussels sprouts. Let me tell you, they were the only thing to fully be devoured from my order at the end of my meal. They were perfectly balanced in every way: charred/crispy, salty, savory. Wow. Just wow. I would go back just for those alone. I did order a whiskey sour which was super deliciously creamy. My server was super sweet and gave great ideas for how to customize my burger a bit the next time I come back. Overall my first experience with Eureka! Was definitely a memorable one so I will definitely be back.

My wife and I opted for…read morethe "Discovery Menu" which consisted of 12 or so courses for $125 pp. We were seated outside. Total after drinks/fees/taxes/tips neared $400 for two. Pros: The food was thoughtful and was mostly good, with the highlights being the seafood and veggie courses. We appreciated the Asian influence on flavors and textures. Chili oil made multiple appearances across dishes. Halibut tartare, milk bread, cocktails and dessert were excellent. Cons: We asked for the outdoor propane heat lamp to be turned on. Waitstaff struggled to turn it on, though this seems universal at any establishment with these types of heat lamps. They ended up replacing the propane tank underneath, but didn't try to turn the lamp back on after. There seemed to be staff miscommunication throughout the night. We were asked multiple times if we had received certain courses yet. We didn't have a copy of the menu at that point so if we missed a course, there's a chance we wouldn't have known anyway.... The table next to us also opted for the discovery menu, and waitstaff brought out a duplicate dish to them on multiple occasions only to walk it back. Multiple dishes were meant to be shared, so you would potentially need a lot of cutlery. However, waitstaff would place up to four! sets of forks/spoons on the side of the table in advance. They would also spend time to balance the fork on top of the spoon, which of course came undone once the table moved at all. This was a little awkward and took lot of table space. This was in addition to the main cutlery placement. Food wise, a melon dish felt unbalanced flavor-wise due to extremely sweet cantaloupe (peak season!) overpowering the tajin-like broth it came with. The beef striploin course was overcooked to well done, pictures included. There were six slices total, the two pictured were representative of the rest. We opted to not send it back as we were hungry and had already waited a long time.
